Tasca Celso y Manolo

I visited Tasca Celso y Manolo Celso y Manolo with my family for a 7PM reservation and had such a great experience. We were immediately greeted in a friendly way, and the service all night was excellent — welcoming, attentive, and genuinely warm. The food was amazing across the board, but the highlight for us was the cara de 4 tomates y 4 aceites (tomato salad), and the tomato steak, absolutely delicious and memorable. Highly, highly recommend!

Delicious tomato salad! Cod fritters were good as were the shrimps. Great meat and tasty wine. Service was good, although food came in the wrong order - they happily exchanged it. Wine was slightly warm, but they brought an ice bucket. I was a bit cold sitting in the back corner but overall an enjoyable experience.

It’s not the all round 5 star experience it used to be. I recently visited and the food wasn’t made with the care I experienced on my last visit. The service is still good but the tuna salad had much less tuna, the fried calamari were not crunchy, the bacalao tortilla has less quantity and the shrimps seemed to be frozen, not fresh. It’s a pity.

Very wonderfull experience, food very good (don't miss the tomatoes), friendly and very warm hospitality, a corner of the city to discover. We are very happy to was here today. Buen nuevo año!

The chorizo was very good and we loved the Campero rice but we're disappointed by the taquito plate which was lean chunks of pork with fries. Excellent service will come back just to give other items on the menu a try.

After weeks of tapas, this Spanish restaurant offered somethings different. The tapas dishes are modern and lightly seasoned. Nothing deep fried or overly salty like the traditional tapas restaurants. Patron are mostly locals and the waiters barely speak English but were eager to help.

The food is incredible. Everything we had was delicious. I can’t wait to go back! It took a while to initially be greeted and asked what we wanted to drink and a while to be served our sangria but the food makes up for it. We were served a plate of fresh olives and then our 6 different food plates arrived throughout the next hour. We ordered dessert and while I wasn’t blown away by either of our choices, I still thought they were great. Food pictured - tomato steak, paella, monk fish, grilled tuna and the desserts of cheesecake and flan.

2024: Update... Still a favourite of mine after years as a customer. The quality of the ingredients the precise cooking and the friendly service always makes this a good choice....Make sure to reserve!.... This was my favourite lunch spot in Madrid.. Although eating alone I felt completely at home thanks to the genuine warmth of the staff ( especially Rachel) .. The food is fresh , delicious and carefully sourced from the complimentary olives to the house bread..... The beef " taquitos" were especially good. By my third I was treated like family and given my "regular " table.. Great place, service and great food...
