After weeks of tapas, this Spanish restaurant offered somethings different. The tapas dishes are modern and lightly seasoned. Nothing deep fried or overly salty like the traditional tapas restaurants. Patron are mostly locals and the waiters barely speak English but were eager to help.

2024: Update... Still a favourite of mine after years as a customer. The quality of the ingredients the precise cooking and the friendly service always makes this a good choice....Make sure to reserve!.... This was my favourite lunch spot in Madrid.. Although eating alone I felt completely at home thanks to the genuine warmth of the staff ( especially Rachel) .. The food is fresh , delicious and carefully sourced from the complimentary olives to the house bread..... The beef " taquitos" were especially good. By my third I was treated like family and given my "regular " table.. Great place, service and great food...

This place is unbelievably good! The tomato salads are to die for. The artichokes with pine nuts are dreamy. And the seared tuna and tomatoes - oh my goodness! The owner is very friendly and kind. Adorable space with a cozy-chic vibe. Prices are very reasonable.

Traditional Spanish restaurant with a twist. Loved the ambience and the service is extremely nice and helpful. You’ll find real tomatoes here and the best chorizo.

Best food we’ve eaten in Madrid. Simple, perfect ingredients cooked and prepared with care. Just awesome. Gets atmosphere and charming service as well.

The food is incredible. Everything we had was delicious. I can’t wait to go back! It took a while to initially be greeted and asked what we wanted to drink and a while to be served our sangria but the food makes up for it. We were served a plate of fresh olives and then our 6 different food plates arrived throughout the next hour. We ordered dessert and while I wasn’t blown away by either of our choices, I still thought they were great. Food pictured - tomato steak, paella, monk fish, grilled tuna and the desserts of cheesecake and flan.

Excellent food! Get the 4 tomatoes, the artichokes with pine nuts and the veal with potatoes! Yum! Arrive early if you don’t have a reservation and eat at the bar - best seats in the house
