Popular eatery in town centre with indoor, outdoor seating and high chairs near the bar. Lively place jostling crowd and happy patrons. Food is good, service fast and price reasonable. Outdoor seating can be a problem on colder nights.

If you come to this city, other places can not go, this restaurant must come. The food is handsome , the wine is handsome, the jamon is handsome, and most importantly the Boss is guapo! Definitely come for lunch!

After a wonderful experience with a lovely waitress and great food 2 years ago, we returned with friends last night, the service was appalling, food inedible, and a very large bill. Will never go again. What happened to that wonderful atmosphere and great food of 2 years ago

Very mediocre evening meal that was VERY poor value for money. The waitress was lovely but nothing can take away from a €90 bill for a forgettable meal which was absolutely smothered in olive oil. €40 for a sole (lenguado) to share which equated to about 3 spoonfuls of very oily fish, €15 for 8 prawns! €24 for a bottle of wine. My husband and I have agreed never to mention it again and put it down to experience ☹️

When we have come to Benicassim in the past this is the one bar we always looked forward to coming back to. Not the cheapest place we have ever been to but the place had so much character and the wine never disappoints. However this year it appears that the staff must have gone on a special course on how not to smile and greet the customers. What a miserable lot they are which is a shame as it is still such a lovely place. Unfortunately we will not be going back here as there are so many other places where they appreciate our custom.

Rather nice restaurant for a lunch. Service was good, as was the food. Nice atmosphere and decor inside too.

Dreadful, my wife and I went to have a drink, whilst at the restaurant we decided to ask for the menu, we selected Jamon and cheese, and Wine. Although the food and wine was very good, the owner, who from minute go of me sitting down whilst I waited for my wife, seem to have an attitude with me, the waitress came to clear the plates, at this point the miserable owner, came to the table and infront of and my wife and I spoke to the waitress, he told her not to serve us anymore food or wine, and that he wanted us to leave, I know he said this in Spanish, as my wife is Spanish. So even more discussing manners as if he knew we understood Spanish it goes to show what a disgraceful, rude and obnoxious man he is. Do not go, unless you want to be treated badly.

Tasca el Charquito has to be the best place in Benicàssim! Their food is exceptional, traditional Spanish cuisine, so authentic! And the cherry on the top is their customer service. We felt right at home. They are masters of hospitality and food delicacy. Their food is so addictive that we had to come every night during our stay in the area.
