The hotel has a lovely location by the river and the rooms are well placed and spaced out. Huge big rooms but v old so needs updating and drainage needs looking into as the stench in some rooms was unbearable. The main building is very modern and well lit with beautiful decor the dining hall lacked enough staff to cater for the influx of visitors at this time and could not cope with serving them. Food was good and the few staff were trying their best to give the service.

The hotel sits on a hilly terrain, but the payoff is worth it: your spacious room features a private balcony that offers a unique, front-row view of the airport runway. Just be aware there's an extra fee if you choose to pay for the room using a credit card. You definitely are not allowed to jump in to the river though.

This Resort is situated at a very beautiful location. Right in front of the Paro International Airport. The view is very good. Accessibility to the rooms is very difficult. So many stairs to climb. Very difficult for elderly people. Indoor swimming pool with Jacuzzi was very good. We were a group of five friends visiting Bhutan for holidays. We were not happy with the rooms. Bathroom had a bad smell. There was no conditioner given along with the shampoo. Even the body lotion was not available in the room. Had to ask for them. But the service is very good. The immediately got us everything which we wanted. But these are the essential things to be used in the bathrooms. The resort is very big and going from one place to another takes lots of time. If they can arrange a buggy or a car for the hotel guests for going to the restaurants and to the swimming pool or even to the River Side, is a good suggestion.

Fantastìc hotel, fantastic staff. I'm here now with a group of 20 italian and everything it's perfect. Is it true that to reach some cottage there are some stairs but the staff take your luggage and if you call them they came in 1 minute maximum! The food also is very good! Thank you also to Amin the lady at the restaurant desk

Pros: -Great location next to the river with soothing nature sounds. -Rooms were clean. -Nice touch with welcome tea and hot towels. Cons: -The food. I do wish I had listened to the other reviewers who mentioned the unimpressive food. The buffet set up was nice but many of the dishes were bland. -Run down rooms showing signs of excessive wear, the owners could consider doing renovations. Overall if you're looking for a minimally acceptable place to stay this is an okay choice but if you're looking to remember your stay in Paro I'd choose somewhere else.

Stunning riverside resort with a breathtaking view of the airport set against a majestic mountain backdrop. The Deluxe rooms are a true gem, offering the soothing, tranquil sound of flowing river water that creates a deeply relaxing atmosphere.

My two-night stay at Tashi Namgay Resort in Paro left me with mixed feelings. While the property's location and views are undeniably stunning, the overall experience fell short of the premium touch one would expect from a 4-star hotel. The resort is nestled amidst a breathtaking landscape, offering panoramic views that truly capture the essence of Paro's beauty. The lush surroundings and serene atmosphere provide a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. This, I must say, is the hotel's biggest asset. However, the service and amenities did not live up to the spectacular location. The most disappointing aspect was the food, particularly the vegetarian options at the breakfast and dinner buffets. The food was consistently bland and lacked flavor, to the point of being inedible. The rotis, a staple of Indian cuisine, were clearly made in bulk and left to go cold, rather than being served fresh and warm. For a hotel of this caliber, the quality of the food was a significant letdown. Furthermore, several key facilities were either closed or seemed to be under maintenance. The Woochu Sports Arena was inaccessible, and even if it had been open, there was no staff present to assist guests. Similarly, the poolside cafe appeared to be closed. While I understand that some amenities might have reduced hours during the off-season, a 4-star hotel should ensure that its advertised facilities are operational or at least provide guests with prior notice. Another small but telling detail was the absence of basic amenities like dental kits in the room bathrooms. While this might seem minor, it's these little touches that differentiate a premium hotel from a standard one. In conclusion, while Tashi Namgay Resort offers a breathtaking setting, it needs to significantly improve its service, food quality, and facility management to truly justify its 4-star rating. The stunning views can only compensate for so much.
