This is not a Backpackers and should stop advertising as such. Rude, inconsiderate and unreasonable owner. No regards to surrounding neighbours with noise, vehicles and lack of maintenance, an absolute disgrace of a place

Stayed here almost 9 years ago for several months so that I could get my farm days. Loved the place, made great friends. Ben & Anna are awesome. Showers were 4 minutes so you just learn to wash the dirt off real quick lol.

Stayed here last year for 4 months. The property had just been taken over by new owners. Good place, good people & good, helpful staff. Big enough that you can find a quiet corner and busy enough that you can make friends and have a bit of fun too. Good stream of jobs coming to the place too from nearby farmers.

Hannah and Ben are absolutely fantastic owners / hosts. They will not only help you get a job but super helpful and always up for a chat and maybe even the occasional beer and bbq. Would highly recommend this place, you will meet some incredible people here and make life long friends. (And Sharon if you can see this, you were amazing too!)

worst staff ever, stayed there 4 months and worked 15 days, definitely not a "working" hostel. the owner lies to you saying you will work soon but the majority had to wait 5/6 weeks !!! before we ever worked. does not seem that the owner has your interest at hart but his own. Would never suggest to ANYONE to go there.

hostel was alright, owner was nice, the work situation wasn't too good, to be honest. showers go for 4 minutes then there's a 2 minute break after which you can go again. kitchen was crowded in the evening. only 2 computers, no wifi. met a lot of great people there and there is dart and billiard. just a few words of advise: if you intend to rent a car, to get to work or whatsoever, DO NOT rent with tassie car rentals, it literally took them 2 month to transfer our 500 dollar deposit back and we had to conatct our lawyer, just so other people do not fall for these scammers. we were under 21 and they seemed like out only option, which we regretted deeply afterwards

If I could give 0 stars, I would give them. The facilities in this hostel are totally down and except that we found mold in the curtain in our room. They offered us another room but still with mold in the courtain. We paid for a whole week and even if they had no mold free room for us they were not willing to give us the money back. I have asthma and we told them. We couldn't stay there checking out after one night and lost 340$. They told us that they clean the courtains oftenly with mold killer. After our reclamation they washed the curtain again and after that it was so much cleaner than before that I can't believe they wash them often. The whole hostel smells very humid. Also the aura is really bad. This hostel was an home for elderlys before and it looks actually still the same. Everytime we told some local where we stayed they knew immediately that's a shity place.

I really don't like this backpackers. When we take shower, we can use hot water only 4minutes then we have to wait 2minutes. After 2 minutes, we can use hot water for 4 minutes again. This backpackers so far from city center(coles,k-mart,bluff beach) maybe 23 minutes by walk. Everyday so noisy. And if i want check out , i have to say that 2 days ago. If i didn't say that, i can't get my deposit. Kitchen close at 10:30pm. So i can't cook after 10:30pm. Main toilet&bathroom is unisex. There is no plate and knife, cup, pan, fork in kitchen. Lastly, so dirty. Im so disappointed. :(
