Tasman Holiday Parks - Christchurch

Good but nothing special park close to city centre. We used a powered site so cant conment on rooms. Van site was good, but the park is very narrow and was very busy. Was the hardest park of our trip to navigate the motorhome around, very tight. Has a hot swimming pool, looked great but maybe a tad small for how popular it was. Bathrooms lacked deep cleaning, above head level looked filthy, but was clean up to head level. Mens room had some issues going on at the time but were being fixed. Overall good park but not perfect. Has some great features for families / kids. Good option despite the cons, was convenient for our first night in NZ after exploring city centre before heading off the next day for our road trip

This place is amazing! Can't recommend them enough , our boys absolutely loved it and no one day, was a boring day, pools , Go cart, playground, gaming rooms, scavenger hunts by staff keep them entertained! Staff are amazing and so friendly and accommodating. BBQ facilities a bonus. Rooms are very clean. Definitely 10/10. THANK YOU TASMAN CHC TEAM! we will definitely spread the word about your wonderful facilities and hospitality. Thank you Mike for your hospitality on the grounds with the portable BBQ and all the staff we met at room service and reception, you're all amazing, thank you.

Really enjoyed our stay, our family of 13 enjoyed everything here. The gaming room, the go karts, the heated pool, even in the rainy days kids were happy with all the space they can run around in. Thank you so much to all the staff that was always ready to help us with ANYTHING and EVERYTHING!! Especially the extra scavenger hunt request 10/10!! Friendly staff at reception, and thank you to Mike and Robbie for helping us with our requests for the bbq and picnic table, clean and well kept rooms, clean laundry and kitchen facilities too. Highly recommended.

10/10 Highly recommend for families. Friendly and accomodating staff from reception, maintenance, cleaners, security - great people. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Family of 13, We booked x2 Motel 2 bdrm and standard cabin - there were no complaints! Good heating, warm blankets, had everything you need for a holiday stay. It rained 4/5 days of our stay and kids still had a blast with lots of activities to do. They put on a movie night, free popcorn for the kids, pizza night was great kids always had something the could do. Kids loved the scavenger hunt. Close to supermarkets, mall and 24/7 urgent doctors. Our family in CHCH visited us throughout our stay and are very keen to book their next family stay here too. THANK YOU Tasman Christchurch for your incredible service. Thank you to Grace and Grace and everyone at reception for serving us with every request and going the extra mile! You all are examples of best kiwi customer service! Thanks to maintenance Mike for helping us in the rain with the BBQ. To the security guard who helped us when we locked our key in the house. And to every staff member who plays a vital role in what makes the Tasman Holiday Park CHCH experience a treasured one! Thank you!

Stayed as a family of 5. The facilities are amazing for kids. We were allowed to bring our dog which made the trip so much less stressful. The park had a bunch of activities organised for the kids for Halloween which meant the kids were happy with not going trick or treating. The pool was SO warm, despite the cold snap. We will be back for sure

Great location, easy to city centre and airport. Text message updates very helpful for access codes. We booked a non-powered site. The pitches in/around the corner (28-30) were far too small meaning that if all 3 spots were booked, it would be impossible to fit all cars in line with the markers without blocking someone in. As a result we had to help move a picnic bench at 10pm and move our car to squeeze our neighbour in. The next night (despite stating your vehicle size on booking) there was a very large long van parked in the corner spot next to ours making it impossible for us to get in to our pitch. When I informed the staff they were absolutely lovely, very helpful and enabled us to move spots as she said there were many empty pitches in the middle of the camp ground. What I could not understand is why they had squeezed 4/5 bookings into one corner which clearly isn't practical and left huge gaps other places, it would be helpful if they spread everyone out a bit when able. Facilities were OK, bathrooms could be a little cleaner and agree that pool a little small for size of holiday park on a hot day but plenty to do in the city!

All in all it's okay to stay here for a night or two. We stayed on an unpowered site that was super far away from the facilities (apparently there weren't any close ones, but we saw that closer sites were unoccupied. Maybe there was a reason for it but we had to walk quite far with all of our cooking stuff and to the toilets). The layout of the buildings is quite confusing, we had to look for the kitchen an bathroom between the motel blocks and cabins. The kitchen was okay with lots of tables and benches. The bathroom was too small for that many people staying there and it's not even high season. The 4 toilets and sinks were almost always occupied, which made it feel pretty busy. It's probably much nicer to stay in a cabin there or in a bigger van where you can use your own kitchen.

Great spot, central location and great facilities (free showers, clean & high pressure). Sites are quite close together - feel like you shouldn't be able to hear the motor home next to you shut their cupboard doors (2 different motor homes while we were there). Maybe it was just our particular site? Great facilities for kids, put in a free movie one night.
