Tasman Holiday Parks - Waihi Beach

I stayed in a beachfront studio from 25-29 August. Loved the great view of the rolling waves, the comfortable bed, terrific shower and good amenities. The outdoor spa is such a treat, and particularly beautiful at night. Really enjoyed the 25 metre swimming pool too. All the staff were so helpful and friendly. The proximity to the beach/deli/store is ideal. Everything was clean and well cared for. Very good value for a winter break. I’ll definitely be back!

Have been here twice and had an amazing stay both times. The staff are friendly and the pool/spa combo is a lovely touch! Seconds from a great beach with beginner surf lessons. Awesome place to come with family or friends.

I called the reception to book two camp sites at 5pm, one hour before they off work. The late check in process was very smooth. The park is nice and quiet, amenities are easy to use. Kids enjoyed playing in the park. Tasman as a brand already won our hearts

We spent a quick family trip to Waihi in July and selected Tasman Parks as it is well placed to be within walking distance of the beach and quick drives to local amenities. It is family friendly and staffs were welcoming at every encounter. My daughter particularly enjoyed feeding their pet eels in the river and riding the pedal kart which is available for hire.

Great holiday park, everything was perfect and clean. The facilities were spotless and the common areas well maintained. Special mention to the young man at reception, welcoming always smiling and available, a real plus

The park and location are amazing! What it has to offer is all you could ask for and it was so fun knowing we're were arriving to a place that looked like it oozed fun! However the rooms left me feeling less than impressed. It was only over night so we thought a standard cabin with shared bathroom would be okay. We arrived early when cleaners were still around, it's quiet season so not much work for them so to find the shared bathrooms that we had to ourselves feel icky wasn't a vibe. Maybe they just wet every surface and left it to air dry... But everything was just wet and not cause of weather. Speaking of surface.... Every surface in my cabin left my wet wipes black! 🤢 Moldy blinds... Very unclean cutlery draws! I've had my time in accommodation and that wasn't accommodating. The staff were kind and helpful but having to spend time cleaning, before you're comfortable enough to settle in the "clean" room you walked into isn't the best.. Especially when paid for. Granted it was a cheap room however hygiene shouldn't be reflected in the cost. The more expensive rooms looked cleaner so maybe we'll give it another try but that's kinda stink to know if you get a cheap room, you get cheap cleanliness.

Would have given this place a solid 5 stars as it is amazing and not my first stay. Have stayed on a tent site, cabin with and without bathroom and In the apartments. However the caretaker on this occasion was rude and scolded us agressively on 2 occasions. Our friends arrived from out of town at 10.30 and we were excited to see each other and for a moment of creating cuddles he appeared from his next door unit and reprimanded us for our voices. We are all girls and despite the 1 car rule there was enough space for 2 cars with our cabin. As our friends arrived so late with large heavy bags they pulled up and unloaded and we decided to move the car out early in the morning as it would have been a 500m walk from the road back to the unit. In the morning as we were leaving he angrily told us it’s 1 car and to move which we were anyway. When my friend compassionately & nicely asked if she could make a suggestion that perhaps he could have communicated the same thing in a much nicer was for paying guests. He responded in a defensive and dismissive way which doubled down on his rudeness. I felt uncomfortable and wanted to become invisible when he was walking around .

Me and my family spent the weekend at tasman holiday park waihi beach. Absolutely loved our stay our units were spotless the facilities were spotless everything was awesome Thank you very much will most definitely be back.
