The zoo has a good range of animals, and some exhibits are done quite well. My favourite was the pygmy marmoset enclosure, the glass-fronted design works really well for such a small primate, the animals looked active and healthy, and they were easy to observe. This type of enclosure felt thoughtful and appropriate.
However, many other animals are kept behind wire fencing, which makes the experience feel quite segmented and less immersive. Some animals appeared to show repetitive or stereotypic behaviour, and a few enclosures made it difficult to see the animals at all, which was disappointing.
