Ok! Are you ready to taste the best ice cream you’ve ever had?? They definitely named this creamery right, taste and see!! We were passing through Redding and stayed overnight. We went there after dinner and I literally had to stay in town until they opened the next day just to get it again before leaving town! Trying this place has literally ruined ALL other ice cream for me, nothing compares, so beware! You will dream of this ice cream!

It's my second time back, and their croissant crunch is... nothing but AHHHHMAZING!! I love their pastries and bread. Need to try their pizza and cheesecakes! I will always come back whenever I'm in Redding!

Came in recently and had a really good experience. I had a server named Brenley and she was very attentive and helpful. She was clearly handling the drive-through by herself and seemed pretty overworked, but she was still personable and friendly the whole time. The ice cream was great — especially the Blueberry Goat Cheesecake. Only downside is that singles are limited to one flavor now and it’s a little pricey, but overall a solid spot in Redding and I’d come back.

I absolutely love taste and see. Quality you can taste and it doesn’t hurt my stomach after I eat it. My only complaint would be the small kids cup size and not being able to split a single scoop. Those feel like two changes I was not super excited about but all in all it is still my favorite place to get ice cream!

Interesting flavor options. They didn't really deliver though. We tried four samples. 2 were pretty good. 2 meh. Strong flavors. The smokey caramel had an odd taste and the spiked eggnog didn't taste right either. We chose pumpkin ginger snap and a coffee mint. Both were fine(7's)but nothing really pulling me back. I'll try somewhere else next time around.

Hosting Santa was a really nice family experience. Love the spiked eggnog and spicy pumpkin flavor!

Wow! This is the most amazing ice cream place I’ve ever tasted I think in my life!! I’m from out of town, Oregon, and they have nothing like this in the town I live in. The staff are absolutely wonderful and cheerful! I am so happy right now because of this ice cream, you have no idea. I think this is like Supernaturally amazing ice cream. If you ever have a chance to visit here guaranteed your taste buds will be blessed and beyond all you could ever think or imagine lol 🥰🤤🥳🤩🔥💪🙏🏻

Very nice, enjoyable, high-end icecream. Would recommend to try with friends ☆ The pumpkin Spice, and thai tea seasonal flavors are really good. Nutella Bonfire and Brown bourbon are usually my go to flavors though. The icecream is so dense that even a single scoop can be very fulfilling, and they can do half/half scoops for flavor combinations!☆

Came to Taste & See after dinner on a Saturday and tried almost all of the flavors before ordering a single scoop with a waffle cone, as well as a flight of flavors. The interior is super comfy and welcoming, with some board games and plenty of tables and seating - there had just been a local live artist playing before we arrived. All the workers were super friendly too! Standout flavors include the banana, cookies and cream, and black forest cherry. The waffle cone is a must get - its super buttery, crispy and flavorful. Definitely a staple of the scene!

Staff was very friendly and quick to help even though they were pretty busy. The setup inside the story is very nice and relaxing. Plenty of space to have a table and enjoy your ice cream. I'm usually a cheesecake/coffee ice cream guy. But there were so many good looking flavors I had to do the 4 flavor flight option!! **Numbers match the order in the picture** 1. Nutella Bonfire S'Mores 2. Belgian Chocolate Ganache 3. Blueberry Goat Cheesecake 4. Honey Latte Ranking for best flavors: 1. Belgian Chocolate Ganache 2. Nutella Bonfire S'Mores 3. Blueberry Goat Cheesecake 4. Honey Latte Would not recommend the Honey Latte. It was ok, but not worth it in my opinion. Nutella and Cheesecake were a tie, but wish they were better. Belgian Chocolate Ganache had no competition. Easily one of the best flavors I've had. Would definitely get it again!

This local ice cream place was recommended to us by our airbnb host and it definitely did not disappoint. My friend and I got the chocolate ice cream and lemon cookie scoop. The chocolate ice cream was truly the best chocolate ice cream I ever had and I know that because I usually don't go for chocolate at ice cream shops but this one was the best. It wasn't super sweet and it was dark, rich, and creamy. I got to try any friend lemon cookie flavor which was citrusy with the perfect amount of sweet which was refreshing. If you're ever in Redding, I would definitely check this place out! Definitely a great place to spend with family and friends since they have tons of board games.

Came here for a sweet treat. Appreciated that they denote which ice creams are gluten free, dairy free, or both! Parking was easy as it's part of a complex. We were greeted when we entered and were offered the ability to sample. The person who helped us was patient with our questions. We ended up going with the Belgian chocolate ganache. Absolutely delicious! Loved that it was not overly sweet, smooth, and very creamy! Was the perfect decadent dessert we were looking for. Plenty of seating and there are also board games for customers to play. Also enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. As a side note, they also offer different types of lattes (including seasonal ones!).

All in all an outstanding ice cream experience. They welcome you to taste the different flavors. The service is fast and extremely friendly. Ice cream tasted great. Dining room is bright and clean. Some nice tables outside.

This was our first time here and it was really great. The staff is very friendly and there are a lot of options for ice cream or frozen yogurt. It's a very happy place with lots of games and people playing at the tables. I would highly recommend! Sorry, no pictures. We ate it all before I remembered to post.

Ice Cream, ambience and service are incredible. So many unique and wonderful flavors to choose from. I loved the Burn Honey and Chocolate! Plenty of indoor seating and you can even choose to do an ice cream flight. What's not to love!!

Great flavors, perhaps the best waffle cone I've had for ages, and the coffee was top notch! AND they are open til 11 pm? Awesome- thanx so much- just what I needed at 10 pm, driving from Canada to LA- well worth the circuitous detour from the 5 south-

Came here a few times: - Cute space with plenty of space, good lighting + Wifi. - Service is on the slow side, whether if there are 2 ppl in front of your line or a lot of ppl. The wait can be long. - Tried the strawberry mint sorbet, Lemon cookie, and balsamic strawberry. Overall ok but on the sweet side. - Opens late which is a plus

Stopped by post dinner for some dessert. Balsamic roasted strawberry - possibly one of the greatest scoops of strawberry I've ever had. Well balanced, not too sweet. Consistency was smooth and not too milky or soft.

Time and time again, this place is an absolute gem for Redding. For anywhere. It's some of the best ice cream. Pictured is (Pre-Thanksgiving) S'mores. Mic drop.

GREAT SERVICE and GREAT ICE CREAM!!!! I live in San Jose and travel through Redding every few months. Whenever I do, I stop and get some Ice Cream. I don't care if it is hot or cold outside; the ice cream is so good that it doesn't matter.

I have had ice cream here a couple times. The flavors are unique and delicious and the portions are large. The waffle cones are the best I've had. Staff is very helpful and happy to give samples and recommendations. Lots of seating at this location and a variety of games available. Atmosphere is bright and cheery.

The ice cream here is great with all their unique flavors! I got two scoops of Brown Sugar Madagascar Vanilla and loved it. The lady that helped me was Kris, she was very personable and let me try samples of a few different flavors. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, my friend and I got our ice cream and dined in the shop. I will be back for sure!

Had to write a review because the lemon speculoos cookie was so good! Wasn't too sweet at all because of the acidity and def a treat after having pizza for dinner. The employees are so sweet and they offer as many samples as you need to figure out what's right for you. I'd also recommend the blueberry goat cheesecake and for some gluten free options the bourbon brown putter pecan and balsamic roasted strawberry are pretty good, although I didn't really taste the balsamic profile. The creamery shares the same residence as Cinders Pizza. I applaud the combo!

Surprisingly good coffee, amazing ice cream and milkshake, super good chocolate chip cookie, AND open late! I was passing through town and needed a pick-me-up. Thanks for being open!

We love visiting taste & see creamery when we're in Redding! The ice cream is delicious and this location is spacious with lots of room to enjoy your ice cream inside or outside! They have lots of options for any dietary needs -- gluten free, dairy free, vegan, refined sugar free, etc. i especially love that their menu on the tv clearly identifies the allergen information so you can see which ice creams work for your needs! This time we enjoyed the honey vanilla latte (GF, DF RSF), turtle bay 20th, and cold brew. All of them were delicious! The honey vanilla latte is sweetened with honey so it is even refined sugar free! The turtle bay was delicious but both who had that mentioned the cookie dough bits were a bit large for their liking. Can't wait to see what flavors they have the next time we are in town!

Treat yourself! A cute place to check out some original ice cream creations. Close to hotels and Chuck E Cheeze.

This ice cream was so delicious. The vibe was calm and the worker there was sweet! They had little games you could also play and coffee. I will be stopping here anytime I go to Redding.

Coffee is as equally as awesome as their ice cream! The cortado was great with citrus & dark chocolate notes. The pumpkin brown sugar latte was great and not overly sweet. My husband and I are extremely picky about coffee but T&S has not missed the mark! I never liked chocolate ice cream before T&S...I tried their Double Chocolate ganache and have not turned back! My husband loves the lemon cookie! I can't wait to try all their new flavors! So glad that they also use organic ingredients. The shop itself is so beautiful, bright & inviting. Happy that we can get two of our favorite things in the same spot and with the option to drive thru, excited for all that is and is to come with T&S!

The waffle cones are amazing. They were thin, crispy and made fresh. The Belgium chocolate ganache was thick, creamy deliciousness The pineapple passion fruit juice had great flavor and very refreshing.

Sugar cones was yummy and well made. Doesn't leak at the tip at the bottom after awhile. It matters when you have kids and don't want it dripping all over their clothes after they inch away at the ice cream. I love that they don't have your typical ice cream flavors. We liked the strawberry mint sherbet as it tasted so fresh! And we also got the bourbon butter pecan that was tasty as well.

I ordered gluten free/vegan Honey Latte in a gluten free waffle cone. It was such a treat to be able to eat it seeing as how there aren't a lot of places that cater to food allergies. It was also SO good, I'll be dreaming of it. I live in Modesto but I'm looking forward to my next trip up north.

I did not know what to expect when we drove to Redding. I was expecting more mountains, although they might've been visible if it was not so overcast on the day we drove through. The surprising fact was that Redding is at a low altitude surrounded by pastureland. Redding was not our final destination, only a rest stop on our journey to Oregon. My only previous knowledge of the area was that it was a good flyfishing destination. While I cannot attest to its abundance of flyfishing waters, because I did not fish or see many rivers on the drive through, I can confirm that Redding is a great place to experience California's dairy culture, if by this I mean enjoying the Taste & See Creamery. Most ice cream spots are generally good. It takes a lot for an ice cream parlor to reach the status of memorable, bare minimum is for the ice cream to be homemade, and by homemade I mean that the business itself makes the ice cream. There are a surprising number of ice cream shops that only serve ice cream produced by a large manufacturer. These types of ice cream shops are not in the business because they enjoy the craft of quality ice cream; instead, they only want to feed the thirsty tourists with no incentive that they will return. In contrast to these tourist shops, Taste & See is the model ice cream parlor for ice cream quality. My wife's mint and berry ice cream tasted like it had been freshly made with mint and berries from the local farmer's market. My draft chocolate was rich and creamy. It was considered "draft" because it was made with trace amounts of beer or beer ingredients, a flavor I had never seen before.

I loved the chocolate flavor and it's such a nice place for a family with games and so much seating.

Fantastic local ice cream! Atypical flavors and great service. Get a fresh waffle cone or bowl, you won't regret it! If you love chocolate, get the chocolate ganache. Ultra chocolaty and smooth.

Delicious ice cream and drinks, the blueberry goat cheesecake was amazing. All the flavors we tried were yummy. The kombucha and the yuzi green tea were also very good. Cute interior, nice staff, and fun games--- perfect place to meet up friends. Recommend this place!

This ice cream is so delicious! But this specific location has the best employees! The girls are so friendly, they really seem to enjoy what they do. Incredible waffle cone - golden brown, with enough salt to be noticeable and make you fall in love. This cone, with the Bourbon Brown Butter Pecan .... Heavenly!

this place is the bomb! Extremely rich delicious flavors. We're just traveling through. I wish we had a place this good near us. Loved it.

The ice cream is delicious!! 5 stars for that! However, tonight we didn't have a great experience. The woman giving us samples scooped under the other woman (working the drive through) scooping ice cream from another tub. She also touched the second employee's headset (the drive through employee) before scooping my sample, which I thought was a little unprofessional. After she scooped our ice cream, she gave us our total and walked away. And that was it. She began helping the only customers behind us, leaving us to stand there waiting to see if she would come back to help us pay. We wanted to pay cash and had cash out and extended to give her, but could not as she had walked away. We stood there for a few seconds before deciding to pay with a card. 5 stars for the ice cream! Unfortunately, 1 star for our experience tonight.

The best I've cream ever, seriously. Blows salt n straw out of the water and I'm a huge fan of them. Can only speak for the blueberry goat cheesecake flavor but man is it good. Waffle cone was so fresh and crispy, not a single bite got soggy, not even the very end. Not too sweet and the perfect tang from the goat cheese. Can't wait to try other flavors next time I'm in Redding, gold star for sure! (I mean awesome ice cream through a drive thru, c'mon)

Love this place for the variety of homemade tasting ice cream with yummy flavors, as well as the coffee. Thank goodness! How is it those two things go so well together? Right off of I5 with a fun atmosphere. Also a good place to chill for a bit or play board games they have on hand. Family oriented space as well.

Very disappointed came in with family been in a few times usually a great experience but was told at 10:30 the milkshake machine was broken down for the night it just seemed like the guy didn't want to do a milkshakes brushed off my cousin then came back to us to give us a totally faked out hollowed apology just was disappointed because it is usually a great experience

The ice cream is a 5, always amazing. The service in the Hilltop location is a 3 at best. Tonight it was a 1. The male employee was oblivious and totally engrossed on his phone. When he did come out to help the young lady up front, I had to tell him 3 times what I wanted, and even then I had to correct him as he was choosing caramel vs the chocolate I asked for. It's worth the drive downtown to get consistently good service along with the great ice cream.

2nd time visiting this establishment with only 1 person working the drive thru and the counter. Such a disappointment not being able to satisfy my craving. NOT waiting for ice cream, waste of time

why would the ice cream not be bagged? if it's not going to be sealed under the lid and be able to spill it should be bagged. not just saying "it's a hot day outside" well tho it should be bagged
