On the Grid : TASTE Food Hall

"Okay, I know what you're thinking. This is curated for designers, so why are we including a mall food court? Well, TASTE is a chef-driven collection of California favorites, most of which started in Los Angeles; like Sprinkles, Oleego, Loteria, Indus by Saffron, Pazzo Gelato and more. It's the perfect spot to catch a quick bite of some of the city's hot spots without needing to make a reservation. TASTE also has a California-style outdoor dining patio where one can sit in the fresh air, enjoy a meal and glass of wine under sunny skies and still be close to a Target." - TypeEd

Great collection of eateries to choose from. Everything I saw was a legitimate, high quality option for a good lunch. You will not find a McDonald's or Taco Bell here, which is refreshing. In fact, the only name I recognized on my first visit was Five Guys. I'd love to say I'll be back to explore the options further but I tend to not spend too much time in crowded areas. During a weekday lunchtime trip, it was filling up rapidly by noon.

Google
Half moon cafe was a bust. Hair in the fried rice, sweet and spicy chicken was flavorless and sweet, orange chicken was all batter. Wanted to like it more than I did

Google
Had a chicken burrito here at Ocho grill. Terribly wrapped burrito, so loose that it fell apart when I got to half way. The person that wrapped the burrito had long, glittery nails and didn’t even wear gloves when wrapping my burrito. There’s no way it’s sanitary to handle money and credit card and wrap a customers’s burrito without gloves. Also, the meat portion was very small. For $13, this was the worse burrito I ever had. Maybe the other restaurants here are fine, but I would not recommend Ocho grill.

Good choices plenty of seating

Google
This is a great food court option in the main Downtown area. The restaurant options are great and numerous, and there’s both indoor and outdoor seating. The public restrooms are nice and so are the tables and chairs. Note, though, it gets very busy on weekdays at lunch time.

So much to choice but of course the five gut win. Love their burgers n delicious fries. Took a friend for a treat he was amazed. Some of the food is a bit over price but what to expect for convinces.

Packed house at noon best to go at 1130 or 1pm. The Indian place is bland with poor customer service. Salata is the best bet fresh ingredients and nice staff. Mexican place was overpriced and closed down. Coworker loves the Poke place(Ohana). Overall its great to have choices and quick lunch options.

Google
This place is a really good spot to have lunch as it is very accessible from the subway station. If you work near downtown, this is one of the best places to have lunch or even bring a date. The outdoor sitting is really good.

Yelp
Cool mall nestled in DTLA. Parking is in a separate building but isn't hard to find. They also offer complimentary EV charging. Validation is offered at their food court! There's a good variety of shops and food options here, even a Target on the middle floor. We had a fun time strolling through here and other DTLA landmarks.

Yelp
This place is so dangerous great! It's like a one stop shop for your essentials! It may not have it all but it was what you need. It's a 3 floor plaza with a large selections of stores like; Target, B&BW, Nordstrom Rack, Sephora and even a Golds gym. It's a busy area and sometimes some homeless going around. But the service is great, security does a great job at keeping them out. the value of shopping here is high due to being able to accomplish a lot w/ the stores in the area.
google avatar

Amy M.

Yelp
Very kind security guard driving cart early Wed evening who helped me find my car in this very confusing parking lot. High foot traffic location. Gold's gym looks so crowded here.

Yelp
This mall is near by my place. Easy access. But they can improve their elevator systems and locations. Many kitchens inside. Shopping malls.
google avatar

Yelp
Open mall concept in DTLA with all the usual suspect shopping chains present like Target, Victoria's Secret, Sephora, MAC, etc. You actually enter from the street on to the middle level via stairs ( there is an elevator as well off in a corner), from there you can go up a level or down. The lower level has a food court with some different options than the ones I'm used to seeing on the East Coast. I can tell you that the cell phone reception in the Target there sucked but I was shocked to find they sold wine there. It was cheap wine sure but hey. Another interesting thing was it seems this is a happening spot for street performers. Even at night they were all over the place.

Erika E.

Yelp
Always a park when you're staying in DTLA to have right around the corner on local target and some local eateries to grab quick bites that are open up to a pretty decent hour at 9 PM Simply, a walk of no more than seven minutes with a pleasant park up top to enjoy
google avatar

Yelp
This is such a nice shopping center! Really like the layout! There's garage parking available. Make sure to take your ticket with you to get the ticket validated at any stores for discounted parking! You can even get it at target. ALSO make sure to park at levels 1-3 for discounted parking or your ticket can cost more. The parking is interesting. When you enter, you're at level 4 so make sure to drive down to level 3. I parked for about 3 hours and with validation and only had to pay $4 total for parking! Overall a great spot to hang out with friends or family! It's got a nice setting and vibe!

Yelp
It was my first time at the Fig at 7th mall and it was a nice visit. Plenty of restaurants to try. Will be back.

Yelp
I stopped by this shopping mall for work and it was CRAZYYY! It's so huge & literally has anything you would need, a great range of stores and service shops even a gym. You could even come here to study, lunch, walk around overall such LA vibes. Watch out for Parking!! When you first enter I believe you're on fl7 but it wasn't until I had to pay my ticket that I saw fl 1,2,3 are cheaper. Make sure to get it validated before heading to your car because I paid like $22 for 1 hr :( Now that I know, I will definitely go back again prepared. It's a great place to shop all your needs, clean and High end !!

Yelp
The escalators are NEVER WORKING. This is a terribly run mall that is more difficult to navigate than it should be because management is incompetent.

Yelp
I haven't visited FIGat7th since I attended the Yelp Elite Tasting Event at FIGat7th in 2014. At the time the mall was renamed to FIGat7th in fall 2012 and this open-air three level shopping mall in downtown LA hasn't changed too much. Personally the biggest draw for this mall are: (1) CityTarget (the mid or 2nd level; IMPORTANT - come here for FREE parking validation) (2) Nordstrom Rack (added in fall 2017 - bottom level) (3) Golds Gym (bottom level) (4) Food court + Mendocino Farms (bottom level) & Sprinkles Cupcakes (the mid or 2nd level) (5) Miscellaneous shops (Zara, H&M, Victoria Secret, Bath & Body Works, Sephora, T-Mobile) [Parking] Walk into CityTarget and you will see a parking validation machine located near the front entrance. I didn't buy anything at Target and didn't talk to any cashiers. I inserted my parking ticket into the machine and got discounted parking rate (parking isn't free even with validated parking ticket). I only had to pay $4 total for approximately 3 hours on Saturday. The rates are 30 minutes FREE, 1 hour for $1, 2 hours for $2.50, 3 hours for $4, and standard office building rates apply ($3 every 10 minutes; $35 maximum) after 3 hours (as of Oct 2022). [Cons] Horrible parking structure. Apparently there are two sets of elevators and only one set of elevators are connected to FIGat7th. Follow the FIGat7th signs to located the right set of elevators. In addition shoppers must park on L1, L2, and L3 in order to receive reduced rate and it was really annoying to drive from upper street level (L8) to L1/L2/L3. Limited shop selection, but this mall is located in a prime spot in downtown LA (The Bloc, Los Angeles Central Library, Crypto.com Arena, Whole Foods Market, Bottega Louie, The Westin Bonaventure Hotel all within 5 blocks away) and you can easily explore the nearby area by utilizing FIGat7th's validated parking rate.

Yelp
Better quality for the stuffy of a Highland calf. The one I received had a misplaced leg and terribly SCARCE amount of HEAD HAIR and HAIR ON TIP OF TAIL. I will send extremely negative review to the website until I receive a better replacement for the $50+ I spent on this item!!!

Yelp
This shopping center is a wonderful addition to the downtown area. I don't like the parking situation but other than that it's a great little place to go if you're in the area. A couple of the restaurants closed during the Pandemic but California Pizza Kitchen, Mendocino Farms and the food court are all still in business. I especially love this Target's clothing selection. I have noticed that the prices are slightly higher at this Target but if I had not told you it is not significant enough for you to ever notice. The Nordstrom's Rack always has a great inventory and the same with The Bath and Body Works and Sephora. My girls (30 & 37 ) both love the Zara's that is there. Like I said, if you're in the area it's a great shopping center. Would I ever go out of my way to go there, NEVER. And I say this strictly due to the parking and the long walk from the parking lot to the actual center. But hey, go check it out for yourself and get your own opinion.

Yelp
We had fun at our trip here. Had good deals at Zara and H&M. We also had a great time at the pop up roller skate rink up top. Loved how they had themed days. We went to the 70s themed day and it was so much fun. Areas of improvement: parking elevators got us a little confused. There is a seperate elevator to use going to the parking then another to use outside in the plaza. I long with other people were getting confused too. But over all you could find pretty good deals here.

Yelp
Save yourself 40 dollars just on parking--go somewhere else. Yikes never-- again. Same stores as anywhere else, insane prices. Also some of the stores are small--the Nordstrom Rack is pretty much an overpriced garage sale.

Yelp
Nice outdoor shopping center right in the middle of downtown, near the subway stop, very convenient. The structure is easy to figure out, spread out on a few levels. They have generic stores like Target, H&M, Lenscrafters, Bed Bath and Body Works, Zara, Sephora, but also a great food courts with more interesting options and reasonably priced like The Melt, George's Greek, Mendocino Farms, etc. The outdoor seating area is pretty big and nice with clean tables near landscaping. The place is clean, with security people around, I didn't notice anything crazy considering it's located in downtown. They have events here, concerts, etc and the place is nicely decorated during the holidays. Great place to stop by and grab a bit before you go to LA Live area for concerts, shows or games. Enjyable shopping center in the heart of downtown, a very nice option if you live or work in the area or just find yourself here for shopping or fun outings!
google avatar

Yelp
Great shopping center with a super nice layout! The only difficult part is parking but the rest is a cakewalk. Remember to take your parking ticket so that you can validate at the food court or anywhere else that you go shopping. Totally worth a visit, especially on days when traffic is slower, like Sunday afternoons!

Yelp
We are here frequently because of golds gym but this parking lot "guard" is such an a$$hole! Last night, I was rear ended by a dude was HELLA high while we were waiting to exit the parking garage. The lane eventually closed because the vehicle in front of me was having issues BUT the guard was only yelling, yes yelling at me to leave. I am in between two vehicles... When I tried explaining to him that I was rear ended and needed to exchange information, he said to reverse out and re-park BUT he didn't say anything to the dude that hit my vehicle. He was only speaking to me and in a rude ass manner. I was actually less upset at the dude that hit my vehicle because he wasn't yelling in my face and made sure that I received his insurance information before exiting. While I was waiting for the dude behind me to reverse so that I could reverse, the guard came back the 3RD time to yell at me to leave. LIKE ARE YOU AN IDIOT?! How do you expect me to reverse? Into the other vehicle? And again, he only spoke to me and not the dude behind me. It was very obvious he was only attacking me because this isn't the first time that we had a bad encounter when he tried to pocket $$$ from us and I called him out for it!!! I was so livid because he didn't exchange any words to my boyfriend or the dude that hit my vehicle and was literally verbally attacking me. He claimed that I was blocking a lane that he had to close because of the vehicle in front of me. He chose to be a d1ck and had no empathy when I was trying to exchange insurance info. Like get over yourself!

Yelp
Parking was amazing and safe but the only issue is the venue I bought tickets had this as a selection and it's 3 blocks away from the venue.

Yelp
WARNING!!!! Park in Level 1,2 or 3 we parked right when you drive in which is 7!!!! They charged us $25 for 1 hour... 1 HOUR!!!! you have been warned. It's a nice place, many selections and a food court which was great. Well actually that's where the problem begins bathrooms do not work anywhere in this center. All you have are guards barking they are closed at the food court. Well that's an issue no where to wash your hands before you eat. Then maybe target, nope no bathroom there either. How do you serve food this way not even an employee could go to the bathroom. So if they are working making food do they go to the alley or in a cup, maybe a sink we don't know but in a bathroom, NOPE.

Yelp
This is a cool semi outdoor shopping center and food court place We stopped here to get something to eat, tons of choices from pizza to sushi to Mexican food. The food court area is clean and there are lots of tables and chairs to sit and eat at. I thought it was pretty cool that they have places to sit and charge your phone also. How convenient. This place has 3 levels. There is a lense crafters, Target, Victoria's Secret, Nordstrom and Macy just to name a few. Very convenient shopping center

Yelp
I absolutely love this shopping center. It is in an ideal location in downtown. Where are you can walk around or take a quick ride to anything that you could ever desire. There are restrooms available in Target, and in the food court. There is the parking structure with the entrance on eighth Street; however, it is very enjoyable get dropped off at the entrance on Figueroa, and into by descending the escalator. M if you are staying at the Intercontinental, or you can walk right across the street to the plaza. There are also several other hotels nearby.

Yelp
I come here a lot when I work downtown--mainly to walk up and down the steps when I am taking a break from the office. I sometimes order things for pick-up at Target--saves time. I also stop in Sprinkles Cupcakes from time to time just to look at the cupcakes and cookies. I always have to tell them--just looking! It amazes me that people will pay $4.00 for a small cupcake that goes down in 3-4 bites. I also walk around the food court looking at all the food. Studio Pizza is good but I only have purchased when it was $5.00 for a pie happy hour they don't have anymore. Now its $8.50 so I don't get it anymore. They have a 5-guys hamburger place here. I came to a freeze looking at the menu: $8.50 for a hamburger!?!? I don't get it? It's not a $9.00 with tax burger. Then they have the salad place--looks okay, never got it--but with chicken the salad will run you approx. $13.00. Not worth it--Ms. Winston's a block down is much better. Now Mendicino--I get sandwiches from there occasionally, but a tiny sandwich with not much chicken sets you back $12.00 with tax and while its very good, its such a poor value that I don't get it very often. I would need 2 Sandwiches to fill me up. Just wish the food prices were lower here. But the outdoor food courtyard is a nice place to have a drink and relax. They have Golds gym and a large Victoria's Secret which never seems to sell anything that I would wear. I'm not even sure what the secret is? They have a giant self-parking lot which some stores validate for--call to find out otherwise the max parking fee is over $30.00, less on weekends. They have lots of security here, because Downtown has a large homeless community that would like to call Fig at 7th home for a while. I constantly see security shooing homeless and other crazy yelling smelly people away. In sum, a big asset to Downtown LA, just which food was less.
google avatar

Yelp
A nice and small shopping center conveniently located in the middle of downtown. I love coming here when I need something really quickly. Some of my favorite shops here are target, bath and body works and Victoria secret. They have good deals and the staff are really friendly. They have a lot of food places here in this plaza but I have never had the chance to eat in any aside from California pizza kitchen. And sometimes I stop by sprinkles for a cupcake. I'm not sure what stores validate for the parking garage but I always stop by target to get validation. With validation all you have to pay is $1. That price is really good considering it is in the middle of downtown. Also, they tend to have art exhibits on the top floor above target. Some of those are really cool and worth checking out.
google avatar

Maria C.

Yelp
People complain so much about parking attendant but they have only smart ass costumers that doesn't know how to used a ticket and pay for it. There's no such over pricing THEY HAVE SIGNS EVERYWHERE the problem it's that people doesn't want to read them. Golds Gym member are sucks costumers They think that paying $20 dollars for their membership They can get all day parking for free. All costumers at that place are just a dick coming with their personal problems sliding them on attendants and management preferrers just to open gates and having a cheap ass client that cries for a dollar than forced them to pay.
google avatar

Robyn P.

Yelp
This is a nice outdoor mall with several stores, including Target, Bath and Body and Victoria Secret. There are a few fast food type of restaurants too. The shopping mall is very clean and is very popular. The large parking structure that is adjacent to the mall makes parking very convenient. There is a fee to park, but if you take your parking ticket to Target, they will validate and you will only have to pay $1.00- a steal to park in Los Angeles!
google avatar

Josh B.

Yelp
Not a bad spot to check out if you're looking for some new clothes, but the food court could use an upgrade. This shopping center has some pretty popular clothing stores like Zara, H&M, and Nordstrom Rack. There aren't any boutique stores here, so I will say the options can be a bit generic. If you're looking for food in the area I'd maybe suggest looking elsewhere. Of the restaurants I've tried they were all pretty mediocre. There is a Mendocino Farms here, which seems to be a pretty popular spot but it's a little overpriced if you ask me. Parking: Make sure to get your ticket validated before you go to the pay stations. (I've seen many people have to walk back to the store they visited to avoid paying $11 for not validating.) You'll end up paying $1 for an hour, longer visits will cost you more.

Yelp
Really liked their foodcourt and variation of the shops. Very comfortable location of Target in Downtown LA. However the parking is very hard, there is always bunch of cars on the loading area. Which is very unprofessional from the management of the building. They have to assign somebody who is going to control the traffic. And move all the cars who are pretending of waiting somebody. But there is public parking right in front of the building which is live saver. 10 buck for whole day.
google avatar

Heidi N.

Yelp
Nice variety of shops for a smaller outdoor mall, the center is clean as are the restrooms and it has a great indoor foodcourt. The Nordstrom Rack is a little smaller than most, but the other shops are good-sized.
google avatar

Juvi G.

Yelp
I'm not sure why this place has such a low rating, but I rather enjoyed my first trip here. The somewhat-hidden nature of the shopping center makes it feel just a bit more special, and while not huge, it has a well-rounded selection of shops, restaurants, and even a Gold's gym if you happen to work nearby and be a member. The parking is about as pricey as you would find at other shopping malls in LA- less so if you're buying at the shops or restaurants and remember to get your ticket validated. After 2 hours, I only paid $2.50; though, I did end up buying more that $150-worth of stuff from Nordstrom Rack where I got mine validated. (Very affordable there, by the way.) If you have teenagers or happen to be young-at-heart, you will be pleased by the slightly-post-pubescent-tailored stores you have to choose from. Zara, Pink, L'Occitane, MAC, H&M, Sunglass Hut, you name it. The restaurant scene at the food court also packs a little bit for everyone with a carefully-selected roster of premium sandwiches at Mendocino Farms, a Greek Grill, and even a Sprinkles Cupcake shop. Everything is easily accessible from the parking structure and it's not the kind of place where you'd want to spend all, so it's perfect for you boyfriends out there. My only caution is to pinpoint where you parked your car, as the parking structure can be a bit tricky for first timers. Also, make sure that you only park in the designated shopper area, as the parking spots on the higher levels are reserved for other people. Happy bargain hunting!

Yelp
Scams selling clothing that arrives wrong size or wrong message/design from what was ordered
google avatar

Gabriel A.

Yelp
I pretty disappointed by its size I was expecting a bigger space by the pictures I thought it would be a lot cleaner but also 15 dollar parking is overpriced. But setting the downside aside is was not that bad of a trip.

Yelp
Once again completely renovated a few years ago. Now a huge Target, Zara, H&M, Victoria's Secret and other stores along with a nice food court. Also has Mortons Steakhouse, California Pizza Kitchen, Sprinkles, TMobile, Sephora and Mac Cosmetics. Beautiful huge outdoor Plaza with tables, chairs and umbrellas. Love this place.
google avatar

Olivia P.

Yelp
I came here whilst visiting LA because it has the closest Target store and I needed a laptop charger. I didn't find the charger because Target doesn't sell them, but I did find this amazing shopping center! This center has lots of food options, a Gold's Gym, an H&M, and a huge outdoor lounging area on the lower level in the middle of the center. It's basically an outdoor mall with something for everyone and it's a great place to hang out and meet with friends if the weather is nice. This place is bright and has a fun vibe. So, if you're in downtown LA and you want to eat or workout or go on a Target run or buy a new outfit, this is the place to do it!
google avatar

Ricardo O.

Yelp
This rating is based on the parking not the stores. If you want to come to this place be prepared to deal with trouble getting into the parking lot. To add to the situation multiple pay stations have issues even some that do not acknowledge the validation from the store at the plaza. With the money they make from all vehicles I don't see how they have machines that are not fully functional. In addition when exiting it's also a nightmare and at times can get bottle neck and prepare to wait if a machine breaks down on the way and you have cars in the back. Honestly the stores here should demand a better parking situation. It's DTLA and parking is already tough as is. You have been warned park at your own risk.
google avatar

Maruko X.

Yelp
This shopping center is conveniently next to the freeway 110, compact complex in downtown LA, large parking garage, usually the lower three levels are for shoppers and higher three levels are reserved for office building tenants.

Yelp
The bacon-wrapped cart in front of Fig & 7th has been there for years. I never stopped and got one because I was usually on my way home on the train and didn't want to lug it back home that way. I normally didn't see her during lunchtime out there and I rarely go out to lunch anyway. I would always smile at her and say Hi, but felt guilty that I never stopped. Since the Pandemic, I've come back to downtown LA to update my accounts that locked their doors in early 2020. The last day I was there I promised myself I would stop and get a hot dog on my way back to the hotel. I'm really glad I did! she was so sweet and made sure to ask me if I wanted everything on that dog. Which is a good thing because I know she must come across many customers that don't want cetain things added to their dogs. Her dogs do NOT disappoint! She is amazing, very professional and very accommodating. Go check her out y'all!!

Yelp
Beautiful place to hangout! It's an open area so the natural lighting makes the place super lively. The bottom floor is a food court with various options and the 2nd & 3rd floor have shops like Target, Zara, H&M and Bath&body works. It's a great place for lunch breaks since companies like EY is nearby. But for hangout with friends, it might be a bit small. I was there for 25-30 mins and I was pretty much done walking/ shopping the whole area. Also parking is whatever. It says we get reduced parking for parking on a certain level, which I did, but my ticket was not discounted. It was only discounted because I got validated in Target.

Yelp
Downtown LA: literally one of the most versatile hubs offering drastically-different environments ranging from artsy-entertainment to ethnic shopping boutiques and financial businesses to Skid Row. But a shopping center in downtown? Not what one expects, is it? Yet, lo and behold the shopping center of Fig at 7th. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the location of Fig at 7th at the corner of Figueroa and 7th across the street from the 7th Street Metro Center station. Fig at 7th is a scaled-down version of Hollywood at Highland of a multi-floor, open-air shopping center. Somewhat circular in shape, Fig at 7th includes a food court first floor, restaurants, and stores connected by flights of steps and escalators complete with seating areas in the center and an upstairs topped with views of skyscrapers. So, what can you find at Fig at 7th? The shopping mix is varied with such stores as a Target, Zara, H & M, Nordstrom Rack, and Victoria's Secret. Hop into Bath and Body Works for some lotion or Sunglass Hut to protect your peepers. Hungry? Grab a pizza at Pizza Studio, a burger at The Melt, or a special treat cupcake from Sprinkles. Wow, that sounds great, you may be thinking. The problem is that Fig at 7th is tiny in terms of its businesses. Each store is a Mr. Rogers Neighborhood version of what you are used to therefore being claustrophobic when there are too many customers and not having enough of a selection. It's not an ideal shopping environment and you probably won't find what you are looking for. Even attempting a decent meal at Fig at 7th can be confusing as the first floor "Taste" is the home of the indoor food court but it looks like a restaurant from the exterior not being clear to patrons that there are various eateries housed inside. On the positive end of the spectrum, it's definitely a plus to have a shopping center and retail establishments in downtown; perfect if you are in the area and need to dwindle some time or grab a last-minute item. Spots like Fig at 7th make downtown more habitable and welcoming. Definitely a job well done by Fig at 7th in that respect. Also grade-A worthy is the fact that Fig at 7th is quite clean. It is a respite from other areas of downtown and there isn't litter on the floor or homeless folks hanging about. Fig at 7th is safe for the kiddos shopping alongside parents. There isn't much to say about Fig at 7th as it is relatively small and straight-forward. Take it for what it is: a smaller version of a 'mall' in downtown. Just don't expect anything elaborate or cumbersome. Fig at 7th is nice to check out if you have time on your hands in the area but certainly nothing to go out of your way for.

Yelp
Nice little shopping area in Downtown. There is a good court and eateries around along with the retail stores. Big ones here are Victoria Secret, Zara, Target, Nordstrom Rack, and H&M. There's a huge parking lot with many levels as you drive around. With validation you'll still pay. Under an hour is $1. If you go to Golds Gym though they can help with parking too. Good parking rate if you want to go do other stuff in the area as well.

Yelp
This is a nice "arena style" shopping center with stores and restaurants on multiple levels. It is surrounded by high rise office buildings. The shopping center features a city target, Gold's gym, Victoria's secret, H&M, Mendocino Farms and many more. They even have a Sprinkles Cupcake store here. If you work around the area this would a great place to visit during your lunch hour. If you are visiting, it is a little bit of a hassle to park and shop.

Yelp
This review is for a bad experience I had with a parking attendant when exiting the parking lot. My parking slip stated the time I entered was 16:29. I entered the slip to exit at the parking lot at exactly 19:28 (iphone time, so pretty accurate to global time standard). With my 3 hour free validation, the charge should be $0. For some reason, the time ended up stamping around 19:35 and charged me $3. I tried again and pressing the "help" button to ask for help. Me: I came here at 19:28, I don't know why it is charging me. Him: What time was it stamped on your ticket? Me: 16:29 and I have 3 hour validation Him: 3 hour validation is with your gym, we can't do anything about the validation. Me: It was exactly 3 hours, I shouldn't have to pay. I think there is something wrong with your machine. It also took forever to get someone to help. Him: There were no issues with any of our machines earlier. You're the only one complaining to us. There is no issues with our machines. Their logic here was "there was no issues before, so there cannot be issues now." For the record, there was an issue with their machines earlier. My friend came in, and the machine did not dispense until 10 mins after the time stamp. And for me, while exiting, the machine added another 10 mins to my clock. Calling the attendant was useless and I think he was downright lazy. Luckily did not add to my charge. Troubles happen and they do not attempt to fix any of it. This experience with the employee highly reflected that of the business. Hence, one star for FIGat7th. The machine may have technical issues, but the customer service model here is obviously broken. No one should pay for your technical issues and incompetent/lazy employees. (To add, there was actually a $6 flat rate after 4pm on weekdays. My validation was worth $8 on their little processor. Can I say, the parking lot actually owes me $2?) As you read most of the reviews, many of the one and two stars reviews on here were mainly about the parking. So, be warned.

Yelp
Reasons why FIGat7th is really cool! 1) Located exactly at the 7th/Metro stop (walk toward Figueroa) or pay to park in the structure which is only approximately $1 an hour in pricey downtown 2) Great stores: Victoria's Secret, Zara, H&M and City Target (which has everything you need like a full sized Target) 3) Great restaurants: Mendocino Farms, Loteria Grill, and City Tavern are the standouts 4) Best food court in town with hip and clean eating choices. Unfortunately it does close at 9PM and a lot of the vendors run out of food around 8:30PM. 5) There's a Sprinkles Cupcakes! 6) Free Wednesday night movies inside the food court on a large (but not cinema size) screen. I've seen A League of Their Own there and next week they're playing Purple Rain, yay! 7) Cool events at the plaza hosted by the property's management Arts Brooksfield such as the INTRUDE art installation featuring two lit 7-meter inflatable white rabbits from Australia 6/5-6/11/16 and the Friday night outdoor dance party silent disco in celebration of the bunnies. 8) Chase bank and Starbucks on site. Pretty convenient. Wish there was Wi-Fi internet which I can only seem to get inside the Target store.

Yelp
A beautiful shopping center right in the heart of DTLA with an amazing food court. They have poke, Japanese, boba, Korean, Mediterranean, Chinese, coffee shop, cupcake store, you name it. For shopping, you have H&M's and Target. I especially love the open area right at the center where they put a lot of seats and tables.

Yelp
3.5-4 stars Interesting concept of a smaller open-air shopping center in the middle of DTLA's Financial District, on Figueroa and 7th Street (nestled in-between 7th and 8th Street). They do have a parking structure but those elevators sure are confusing if it's your first time here, because some are in-between parking levels, due to the ramps. Make sure you have some cash on you because the parking machines were not accepting credit cards the day we visited. Exiting was complicated for a first timer as well. Good thing we saw a security officer on one of the levels and he pointed which direction we should go because they had blocked off some exits, and even though, we were following the signs, they were not leading us to the exits. Good selections of dining options at the TASTE Food Hall. There was a band performing outside of the Food Hall. Great vibes if you're looking for a place to chill in the middle of Financial District. I do wish, also, that they had a small business coffee shop because everyone was crammed at the Starbucks inside of Target for their caffeine fix. From looking at the directory, there seems to be about 15ish retail stores. The busiest among them being Gold's Gym, Target, and Nordstrom Rack. We really liked the selection of clothing at Nordstrom Rack, and also took a look around Zara and H&M. Not many storefront options so if you're looking for a mall, this isn't the place to go but if you wanted something from one of these stores, then come on by! The shopping center is clean and also very modern.

Yelp
Downvillage mall South of LA loop. It looks like a giant crater: a spiral hole with multiple levels and clothes stores, electronic shops. The crew were disinfecting the railings with soap. They were discourteous. Many of the shops were wood boarded up: closed. Rebel review: 3

Yelp
FIGat7th has an amazing array of shops and a pretty decent food court. Plus who could forget they have a Target. Located where? At Fig & 7th duh! Parking is in a structure adjacent to the mall and is a little pricey but make sure you get validation or it'll turn into a mortgage payment. Overall it's a great addition to the dtla shopping experience and if you live or work downtown it's a must in ya line up. Do it!

Yelp
I wanted to visit a city Target, so I found this Figat7th mall on Yelp. It's so hipster! The first floor has all your food taken care of, the second floor has Target, and the third floor has H&M and Zara. If I lived here, this would be all I need (..maybe.). They kind of outline your week for you: margarita Monday, taco Tuesday, wellness Wednesday, throwback Thursday, and Sunday fun day brunch. The outdoor seating on the first floor is plentiful. It's good for lunch, catching up wth friends, or getting work done. The hanging lights and orange canopies reminded me of the Anaheim packing house but the difference was that this was outdoors. Biggest downfall to this nice shopping area is the parking (But it's the same everywhere else in dtla. Not gunna stop complaining). As an OC resident, I think these LA parking ordeals are a pain in the a$$. It's $2.50 per 10 minutes. If you get it validated, it's $1 for the first hour, then $2.50 for two hours. I don't think it really matters on what floor you park, contrary to what the sign says.

Yelp
This place had most of what I, as a visitor, would want within walking distance. I decided to go carless, a first in my 20+ years of visiting LA, and knew it'd be a challenge when it came to my strong desire to SHOP TIL I DROP in LA. I mean, LA's style is not the same as Denver! This place had a Zara, Nordstrom Rack, and H&M which gave me a taste of what I could have if I only had a car. It's not a fashion Mecca by any means but if you're in town for work, it's enough to get the job done. The Target was a pleasant surprise as my trip had rain in the forecast so I could pick up a few necessities along the way. It's definitely intended for visitors or local workers needing a few things on the way home.
