Taste of India

I had the madras lamb curry, jeera rice, butter naan, and a Kingfisher to drink. Everything was on point and the service was great! This is definitely some of the better Indian food I’ve had in my travels.

I went with my friends for dinner, we didn’t have a reservation but they seated us immediately. The server spoke perfect english and the service was great. The food was very good, they even let us choose the level of “spiciness”. They also let us pay separately, which is not so usual in Krakow, so extra points for that!!

Have eaten here many times as well as getting takeaway and delivery. The food is consistently excellent. A good range of spice and waiting staff are very good at recommending a level for you. For me medium vindaloo gives a great taste with a nice kick but not so spicy that it takes away from the flavour. Price is similar to other Indian restaurants but portion size is better and good amount of meat in the dishes.

Visited 2 days ago with my husband. No booking was needed. The lady and gentleman were so attentive and lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious. Slightly different to your typical Indian food but so tasty and fresh. We demolished our meals and would go back in a heartbeat if we ever go back to Krakow.

Not the best Indian food I’ve tasted, but not the worst either. The sauce tasted like it came from a can, and no coffee was available. A small espresso maker is a must for any restaurant. As for the service, everything was okay, but a small gesture, like asking guests if everything is fine, would go a long way. Just a recommendation.

Had a strange experience here. It didn't seem like they had any servers today and someone who might be the owner acted like he was too busy to take food orders. The guy was extremely rude and basically ignored me when I was trying to order. Was wondering why he has the restaurant open if he doesn't even want to take customer orders. After waiting for awhile I gave up and just left. I'd feel bad for the staff here if that was their boss.

Delicious and spicy, a large selection of meals , recommended if you tired of eating traditional polish food it's nice to spice things up with different flavors.

I've been coming to Krakow for several years, this was my first time trying Indian food here. I love Indian food, and have had some exceptionally good food back home in the Los Angeles area (especially since I have so many Indian co-workers who have steered me towards the right restaurants). Tonight I had some chicken samosas, garlic naan, and spicy chicken tikka-masala with basmati rice. The sweet sauce they give you with the samosas is very tasty, but the spicy sauce is amazing. The chicken tikka-masala was wonderful over rice, but it could have been spicier. The garlic naan was also very tasty, and I'd order it again. It was quite different though, from the naan I'm used to. It was flatter, not nearly as soft and chewy as back home. I'm confident I'll be back here again to try the korma before I leave Krakow.

Best indian restaurant in Krakow and really friendly service, which is hard to come by in Poland

This place has really good Indian cuisine. Recommend the butter makhani dishes in general. Got the spicy lamb myself which was on par with the best Indian restaurant food I have had. The naan had great texture. The service was very friendly and quick compared to the other restaurants in Poland, which like to take their time. Would save 5 stars for the best Indian meal I have ever had which is my grandmas cooking, but 4 stars is quite high.

A very small restaurant but the food and service was excellent. We were lucky that a table was available but if you do visit here then I would recommend making a reservation. Portion size was on a par with most Indian restaurants in the UK. One odd thing was asking how spicy we wanted our main dish, I thought the type of dish dictated that. Still, it was very nice and extremely good value. They also do take out and a delivery service.

Taste of India is a pleasant and convivial environment for the consumption of rather good curry dishes. I must admit to being somewhat perturbed when I was asked if I wanted my Balti to be 'mild, medium or spicy' and my suspicions were not entirely unwarranted. So how do you alter the spiciness of a Korma or a Vindaloo? Nevertheless, it was still a competent meal and is recommended for those who tire of the Polish gluttonous fascination with all things meat!

Just had an amazing meal here. I ordered garlic naan, the house lentil soup (delicious), and vegi korma which was also delicious. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone craving good Indian food.
