The food was dance in your seat good! So many flavors and fresh ingredients. Each and every dish was something to talk about. Calamari has fried peppers mixed in, loved em. Lobster Pesci has lobster, lump crab meat and shrimp it was all so tender melt in your mouth goodness, don’t get me started on the sauce it comes in ❤️. Prime steak was also cooked just right, every dish was spot on. Service was outstanding everyone works together with ease. Atmosphere was relaxing and calm. Loved the art pieces it gave me and my son something to chat about. The music was also something you wouldn’t expect at an Italian restaurant but I enjoyed it very much. A few people, waiter included were singing along. It made it feel like a family gathering not just a meal at a restaurant. Highly recommend you go for yourself and check it out.

Finally back into this place after years of them shutting down on catasaqua road.. I love them ! They outdid themselves ! They have the best Italian food in town and the server was wonderful.. whenever my family and I come we will be asking for Autumn G… she was very attentive and making sure we were taken care of. great service!

If I could give this place 10 stars for everything, I would. Our server was amazing, the food was out of this world and the atmosphere felt just like we were at Nonna's house. We can't wait to go back.

Really packed for a Sunday night. You will need reservations. They didn't serve the salad that was supposed to come with my meal, but I barely had room anyway. Wait staff gave great feedback on dishes and recommendations.

Phenomenal! I knew it was going to be good when they brought out toasted bread with good olive oil and soft butter seasoned with salt. Wow. For apps we got the pepperoni garlic bread it was amazing! For lunch we then moved onto subs. We got the ribeye Philly cheesesteak and the Brooklyn boomer chicken cutlet with peppers. OMG! Amazing sandwiches. They are so huge you can easily feed 4 people with 2 subs. Both sandwiches were unbelievable. We can’t wait to come back for dinner. I’m from Brooklyn and my husband’s from Jersey and this is hands down the best food we’ve had in the valley. Better than some places in NY. We will definitely be coming back again and again.

I first attended with some friends about 2 years ago..... i have been back over a dozen times and have ordered take out another dozen! From the moment you walk in, your greeted with kindness and then the smell of fine food greets you! I have not had a bad meal here... From the chicken parm to the seafood platters, everything has been amazing. After your meal, order an Affogato and enjoy! The portions are healthy and the taste is amazing. I love how the staff treats you like family.. they remember you and make sure you feel seen. The owner walks around and greets people When he is not in the kitchen. He takes the time to check on his guest which is very RARE! If you have not been here yet, make a reservation!

We very much enjoyed our experience at Taste of Italy and plan to return. The food was fantastic! Well-prepared and seasoned. I hadn't seen Canneloni in years and loved their version. We also tried the Shrimp Limoncello appetizer. Delicious! Service was prompt and efficient. Ambience was a converted "downtown" house with multiple rooms converted into a cozy restaurant. Note that the parking is in the parking lot of the church next door. Note also this is a BYOB.

I would give this place 6/5 stars if I could We came to Taste of Italy with a party of 9 and had an above-and-beyond experience from start to finish! Our waiter, Aiden, was absolutely amazing--so attentive, friendly, and made sure everyone in our large group was taken care of. The food was outstanding, with huge portions and incredible quality that we all enjoyed. They even went the extra mile and packaged up our leftovers for us, which was such a thoughtful touch. The inside was perfectly decorated, we really loved the lamp lighting. Truly one of the best dining experiences we've had--I can't recommend Taste of Italy enough! 100% will be back!

We came here on an early Saturday afternoon. I've heard so much of this place from friends. I did a simple lunch today and got a chicken parm sandwich. Wow!!! It's so good. Come early because this place gets packed fast.

The food is amazing but they need to write "No take out after 5" in a more visible place on the website/menu. I literally just called at 5:03 and the poor hostess actually said "I'm so sorry I really can't they will REALLY yell at me." I went back and couldn't find that rule it anywhere! Maybe put it on socials? The food is SO GOOD so I can def see people who don't know this getting put off.

I definitely like the ambience of this place. Cute and welcoming. The staff were all excellent; my waiter, Jarrod, was thorough and friendly. I got the vodka chicken parmesan. The chicken was thin and tender, and I really enjoyed it. I also had the Italian wedding soup, which was also very good. Great Spot!! Note: it's a BYOB.

Taste Of Italy Ristorante is located on Main St. in Hellertown. They are open Tue - Sat 11:30AM - 10:00PM and Sun 12PM - 8PM. My first visit was outstanding, so I was very much looking forward to returning. I started with the fried calamari again. It's accompanied by hot cherry peppers, marinara sauce, and lemon aioli. Superb! I think it was even better than the last time. For my entree, I ordered the lobster Pesci. It's made with an 8oz lobster tail, lobster ravioli, shrimp, lump crabmeat, and Marsala roasted red pepper cream sauce. Wow! One of the best seafood pastas I've ever had. Once again, service was excellent. Our server was friendly and the owner Joe stopped by the table twice to ensure everyone was enjoying themselves. Taste Of Italy has indoor and outdoor seating. Pickup and delivery are both available. BYOB. First off the food wasn't great (but that's the Lehigh valley for you), but the worst part was the long disgusting black hair in my wife's Cesar salad. You people ever hear of hair nets? I'd say the food was 2-3 stars, not disgusting but not great (wish we saw the hair before eating the other food). The pesto was really odd, tasted nothing like a good pesto sauce. Meatballs were literally like a meat loaf. Definitely no Italian love goes into putting these together. Finally the sauce for the meatballs and lasagna was kind of sweet, which is also odd. Please wear hair nets people.

It was too much. But the amount of food was good for two days if you want take out. The service was great of course. The music was a nice touch. We had clams casino. Very disappointed with that um we've had much better actually. This was more like stuffed clams and the size of a Nickel. 12 dollars for a Little pistachio cake was ridiculous. Don't taste the pistachio. Be careful with what you order OK? I should have had the pizza. Sometimes I just order completely wrong.

Food was very good, my wife has chicken Parm, I had the mix seafood dish. The only thing we realized the pasta was overcooked for both our dishes Shared the anti-pasta for appetizer. Service was very good Atmosphere was pleasant

We had a catered family dinner in the back room for about 45 people. The food was delicious and served family-style. We started with a few salads and bruschetta, followed by meatballs, chicken parm, and pasta. The back party room is perfect for a large party! We could bring our liquor, beer, and wine.

The service was satisfactory, with the waitress being friendly, polite, and attentive. The restaurant atmosphere was cozy, private, and welcoming. The food was authentic and tasty. It was on the expensive side, but we still enjoyed the appetizers and the main course. I would recommend it. Thank you.

I stopped in today for lunch. What a cool Italian restaurant! Really enjoyed the octopus carpaccio 10/10. Also had the cheesesteak 8/10. The sandwich was packed with meat but could have used a little salt and pepper during grilling. Cooper sharp cheese is a plus. The roll was a good seeded roll, but not as good as many of the Philly area bakeries. The restaurant is very clean and the staff was very friendly. I'm picky with water. If it tastes like tap water, it's a no for me. Good water here! I would love to try this place for dinner.

Exactly what you would expect of a great Italian Restaurant. Good ambiance! Great food selection! I really like the octopus salad! The chef specials are excellent. The menu offers something for everyone. And the staff is professional and friendly!

We went today we had a reservation at 3:30 and we were seated right away. The place is very cute and plays nice music. Our server was Aiden and he was awesome! We had the mozzarella carrozza as an appetizer it was very good. I had the special lobster pesci it was delicious. Lobster ravioli in a cream sauce with a lobster tail, shrimp and lump crab meat. It was a huge portion. The rest of my group had Nonna's sauce with spaghetti noodles, seafood scampi and chicken giuseppe. Everyone enjoyed their meals. All of the portions were big. We were celebrating a birthday so we all got dessert. We got tiramisu, cannoli, triple chocolate cake and the limoncello cake. They were so good. It was our first time here and we can't wait to go back. It is BYOB so bring your wine if you would like to.

It took forever to get our reserved table even though there were many open, the hostess kept getting distracted. Food was OK. I had a chicken dish that felt a bit wet and slimy. The traditional pasta was pretty good. Calamari and peppers appetizer was good. They do not serve alcohol. It is BYOB

Taste of Italy is one of the best Italian places I've ever been to. The food is fantastic, and the service is great. I got the vodka rigatoni with chicken cutlet and the cutlet was perfect. If you come here you must get dessert. We split a carrot cake slice which comes with a little dish of vanilla ice cream too. Parking is a little bit of a pain but there is plenty of street parking nearby

I was in town for a weeklong visit, tried just about every eating establishment in Hellertown, and this was probably the best of the bunch. An ambitious regular menu, loaded with authentic options, and a companion menu of specials with numerous less traditional choices that reflect a Chef and kitchen staff with culinary imagination. If I lived here I would be a regular fixture in the dining room. Service was beyond good and competent, and obviously well trained and familiar with every offering on the menu. Attentive but not overly so, which demonstrates a "goldilocks" level of awareness on her part. I don't recall her name, (edit: it was Meadow) but my brother who lives locally confirmed that she is consistently as professional as she was on this night. BYOB is a plus, and I thoroughly enjoyed most of a bottle of Italian red that I had packed in. Ambiance and dinner music rounded out the experience perfectly. If there is as good, and authentic, an Italian restaurant in Florida, I haven't found it yet. I'll be back

Food was great. We Chicken Parm & Shrimp Scampi over linguine. Both dishes were excellent. Probably the best in the valley. The service was very friendly, and there was a nice atmosphere.

My family and I went here for my birthday dinner and we all enjoyed every minute of it! The food was absolutely amazing and the staff were very nice. Highly recommended

Beautiful place, just nice and Italian-ish music and all. Marhanda was an excellent server, attentive but not overly. And literally everything I got was delicious. From the bread, to the chicken cutlet and the side of pasta with an excellent meatball, all top notch! Great place, go here!

Pricey Italian lunch with average chicken parmigiana and a cannoli for dessert. Friend had Veal Marsala and she enjoyed it. She was surprised by the bill after having a $8 Caprese salad which she thought was part of the 1/2 salads with lunch. There was also an up charge for tortellini as her pasta. Waiter was very knowledgeable and even provided a glass of wine since they are BYOB and she didn't know. Restaurant itself is dated, with both on the street & behind the building parking lot. Probably a one and done for me as I have better Italian choices closer to home. Have heard good things about this restaurant and I can check the box that I gave it a try.

Although it was months ago I will never forget the ravioli in brown butter sage sauce, it was to die for! Great little Italian place in Hellertown.

The food is good, but nothing to brag about. The service was great! Our waitress was Meadow and she was priceless! We wanted to take her home, but that would have been weird! The ambiance looked more like a Fellini movie than a neighborhood restaurant. Go and enjoy but keep your expectations in check!

We were happy to try this popular Italian restaurant in Hellertown. Tables in dining room were filled at dinner time, American 50's background music playing. Waitress brought bread in a basket with olive oil and butter, which was good with Caesar salad. Rigatoni Tartufo Bolognese contained cream, truffle oil, whipped ricotta and mushrooms and was pretty good.

We ordered from this place for a work birthday party. It was a pretty good Italian place. I really liked the vodka sauce and the rigatoni was pretty delicious. The chicken parmesan was delicious. The chicken was cooked well and the sauce really complimented it. There was a ton of chicken in the dish as well.

Gotta say, as an Italian girl, TOI took me right back to my Nona's kitchen. The esthetic was welcoming. The bread? Spectacular! We enjoyed the chicken parm and chicken marsala. To. Die. For. Service was great, in/out in about an hour in a busy Thursday night. BYOB so grab the vino, the fam and enjoy a night of deliciousness. Salut!

This meal was nothing short of fantastic. Our waiter was super friendly and helpful with navigating the ginormous and delicious menu. We started with a great eggplant appetizer. Everyone got to try a new main dish. The dessert is something that cannot be missed with my favorite being the cheesecake. I still dream of the dinner plates and will be back very soon. Reservations may be needed but definitely need to visit this beautiful and cute restaurant!

So grateful to have this fabulous sophisticated restaurant in Hellertown! I stopped in for a solo working lunch on a sunny day. Sat outside in the lovely sidewalk cafe area. The pig and fig flatbread was out of this world. Beautiful crust and great toppings. Looking forward to coming for dinner so I can try more dishes and enjoy their comfortable and romantic indoor atmosphere. Everyone was friendly and the charming decor and interesting menu couldn't be better!

Decided to try this Italian restaurant in Hellertown again. We had gone there with friends when it first opened and had an issue with a dinner that the chef actually came out to apologized for and the owner came over and said he'd comp the meal but then when we got the bill he refused, saying "well you ate it". Strike one! But after reading some very good reviews from others, I figured we'd try it again. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the staff extremely nice. Our party of 6 were seated and the waiter came right over to bring water and open our wine bottles. An app was ordered for the table while we decided on our entrees. I ordered the crab meat pasta dinner with angel hair. My wife ordered the same and asked the waiter how big the side salad was and if we could split it. The waiter said no problem but when he brought them out they were 2 separate salads which we were charged for both. I must admit the food was delicious, but certainly overpriced. When we finished the bill was brought without asking for it with a tip of 20% already included. I almost always tip at least 20% if the service is good but 18% is the norm if added by the restaurant. We would have asked for separate checks if given the opportunity. In my opinion they care more about the money than about their customers. Strike two! Not giving it a third chance.

This is at least my second review of this fabulous restaurant. My wife and I try to come here once a week. We have lived in the Lehigh Valley for 19 years and have sampled over 50 Italian restaurants in that time. A Taste of Italy is by far the best Lehigh Valley restaurant. First, the food is outstanding. The quality, the portions are unmatched. The menu offers various pasta dishes along with delicious salads, eggplant and proteins. The desserts are to die for. The owner and servers are friendly, competent and professional. There are four rooms, collectively seating at least 200. The ambience is perfect, with the dining rooms large enough so you are not on top of each other. 5 Star all the way.

This place has been on our list for a long time and finally made it. We brought the wine and enjoyed the tour of Italy and the mafaldine bolognese. They also brought a couple of plates of their focaccia. Everything was delicious, and it was a much more cozy atmosphere in there than I anticipated and made our date so nice. Everyone was also so friendly and we had a great server. We will definitely be back

First time finally trying this place. Was recommended to try it from a friend and it did not disappoint! Food was delicious, the service was top notch and the ambiance was perfect! If you need an Italian place to try, this is the place. Many options to pick from too! Will definitely be going again soon!

Ate there on New Yesrs Eve. I just don't understand how the owner charges those high prices for frozen Restaurant Depot Chicken patties...everything else was ok...hopefully they decide to go back to a better quality of chicken....

This is a great addition to our town although I did think "do we really need another Italian place?" Well, we have been there twice now and to answer my own question 100% yes! This place is different from all the other Italian places in town for a few reasons; the vibe is classy and chill, the noise level is tolerable and the food is fresh! So many great choices and the pasta is legit! As a chef owned and operated restaurant you get quality ingredients and a healthy portion; be prepared to take 1/2 home! It is BYOB but they have soft drinks etc. Save room for the house made desserts that rotate. Prices are reasonable especially considering the portion size. Definitely make a reservation to be on the safe side. Call if you want outdoor reservations. Servers are younger but they are thoughtful and attentive.

Food and service was great. Our only complaint is that this place needs ventilation, not only for this smells from the kitchen, specially, when they bring the big candles for the excessive birthday celebrations, the whole place starts smelling like toxic fireworks and we didn't see any fire alarm system or Sprinklers even when the flames almost touched the ceiling. This is not safe and should be forbidden. For safety and for the sake to enjoying your nice food, please review and control this. It is not healthy at all.

This big restaurant is a little Gem! Their food is outstanding! From the meatballs to the Lobster everything was amazing even the salads and the desserts. Highly recommended! BTW BYOB-so add another star! We give it a 6! We were 1st timers but our friends had been there 3 times. If that doesn't say something about this review nothing than nothing does.

I have dined that taste of Italy several times I can't believe I'm waiting till now to review The food at taste of Italy is always delicious The service is outstanding not to mention the size of the portions that are on the plate. It's always a treat when we go and there's always something new on the menu and this is absolutely authentic Italian. Taste of Italy is the best place around. Don't sleep on it....

We only received 3/4 of our order and was told 'it takes time' to cook the rest of what we ordered. Huh?? what kind of response is that? I'm sorry about being negative, but might be time for this family to look elsewhere for food.

We were very satisfied with the food! I had a tomato/basil/mozzarella salad and my husband ordered a Caesar Salad. We were both very happy with both salads! Service was very good! Ambience was incredible! We dined in the latest room completed that was very ambient and had a calming atmosphere.

Lobster Pesci was incredible ! Bring an appetite . With every penny . The Italian wife had bolognese and loved it . The mother in-law had the shrimp scampi and said it was legit . I'd give this place 6 stars if I could .

Very good Italian food. Complete menu to choose from. Very friendly atmosphere. Make reservations on the weekends This is authentic Italian food. Giuseppe the owner chef is a master. He tours the floors to check if all is right. Desert is a must many choices my favorite Tiramisu.

I've never been less than totally impressed - great food & great service! I had the mahi mahi special tonight, and it (and the risotto) was fantastic!

We dined at Taste of Italy last night. This was our first time visiting. Really enjoyed the food, service and ambiance. My wife had the Nonna's Marinara (spaghetti) and I had the Mafaldine Bolognese. Both were excellent and big portions. Our server was fantastic and very attentive. The restaurant was extremely busy; so you will need reservations, especially on a Sunday evening. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend!
