Taste of Mexico Restaurant

This restaurant is very Mexican, it really has the concept and the food is very similar to the real flavor of Mexico, I am Mexican and I highly recommend this restaurant. I only had the opportunity to eat tacos and churros but that was enough for me to know that the rest of the menu would be just as delicious. Only the whole time I was there they never played music and the atmosphere was very quiet, music is always a very important part in a place like this, but from there on everything is fine.

We were two adults and two kids, so we ordered five dishes to share generously. There was quite a lot of food left, so we decided to take it home. However, they only gave us small foil containers, which meant we had to use several. To our surprise, the bill showed that they charged TZS 1,000 per container and another TZS 1,000 for the non-woven bag, totaling TZS 5,000 just for packaging. Even at more upscale restaurants, I’ve never been charged for such basic takeaway containers. What’s worse, they never mentioned there would be a charge, even when they brought us additional containers. I brought this up, but the staff’s response was very disappointing. Next time, I’ll either order less or simply not come back. It really felt like they were trying to take advantage of customers.

It does really taste like authentic Mexican food. Fresh and juicy, chicken tacos were the best.

Really good Mexican food . The Ropa Vieja ( shredded beef ) in the quesadilla was awesome . The pupusa was good and the empanadas. The refried beans are awesome ! The only thing sour cream is hard to find here in Dar and they try to make one . It’s more a yogurt consistency. The fajitas were awesome . The guac and salsa are very good too .

Except the rice,everything I ordered were so tasty and I definitely will come back again. If you are a food lover and like to try different cuisine from different places in the world,you gotta try it and I bet you will like it!

If you feel like having Mexican food, this is the place to go, really good food 😋, def going back.. the restaurant itself is abit hidden but at the same time it’s right by the road. Very spacious inside as well

Pretty good tasting Mexican food and fair prices. Definetly a hole in the wall kinda place but will be coming back!

Good food! The restaurant is not that nice but the food was good. Nice margaritas, tacos and enchiladas. Also good churros. Dont judge a book by its cover
