Plotting My Next Meal

Google
If you're searching for a great breakfast place that opens early, look no further! "Taste the World" serves up a fantastic Full English Breakfast plate of scrambled eggs, sausage, beans, hash browns, toast, and tomato. It's a top-notch way to kick off your morning!

This was a super fun breakfast concept in an intimate space. The breakfast theme changes with the country of the month. It was Georgia when we visited in July. Interior decor is redone to suit the country of the month.

The food is pretty good and it’s cool that the menu has a variety of styles of food. We had the American breakfast and the Colombian breakfast, which seemed like it was the featured country of the month. The hot chocolate with cheese was really good. The space itself is pretty small and there is one long table for all guests to sit at, so at busier times it may feel cramped. On a Thursday around 8:45 there were 3 groups of 2-3 people.

I'm thrilled to share my exceptional dining experience at WORLD BREAKFAST ALLDAY Gaienmae, a hidden gem in Tokyo that serves up truly world-class breakfast dishes. After reading rave reviews online about their pancakes, I just had to try them out for myself - and I'm so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the cozy and intimate atmosphere of this small restaurant. The decor is modern and sleek, with a warm and inviting vibe that immediately puts you at ease. But what really sets WORLD BREAKFAST ALLDAY Gaienmae apart is its unique concept: a restaurant that specializes in perfecting different meals from around the world. The menu is a culinary journey through the globe, with dishes inspired by the flavors and ingredients of different countries and cultures. From classic American-style pancakes to Japanese-inspired breakfast bowls, every dish on the menu is carefully crafted to showcase the best of international cuisine. And speaking of pancakes, oh my goodness - they truly are the best in Tokyo! Fluffy, light, and utterly delicious, these pancakes are a must-try for anyone visiting WORLD BREAKFAST ALLDAY Gaienmae. I opted for the classic buttermilk pancakes, and they did not disappoint. The portion was generous, the flavor was rich and subtle, and the texture was perfectly cooked. But what really impressed me about WORLD BREAKFAST ALLDAY Gaienmae was the attention to detail and commitment to quality that goes into every dish. From the fresh ingredients to the expert preparation, every aspect of the meal was clearly crafted with care and passion. The service at WORLD BREAKFAST ALLDAY Gaienmae was also top-notch. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, happy to answer questions and make recommendations. They were also happy to accommodate my requests and make adjustments to the dish to suit my taste. Overall, I'm so glad I discovered WORLD BREAKFAST ALLDAY Gaienmae. This restaurant is a true gem in Tokyo, and a must-visit for anyone looking for a unique and delicious dining experience. Whether you're a foodie, a traveler, or just looking for a great breakfast spot, WORLD BREAKFAST ALLDAY Gaienmae is sure to impress. Five stars, hands down!

Fantastic food and staff. My wife and I were so impressed, we came back a total of three times here during our stay in Shinjuku. As far as seating goes, there's one long table that has 10-12 seats total. We were warmly greeted and asked to take a seat wherever we wanted. We don't speak Japanese but our waiter was very helpful and friendly. We were told they served the American, English and Thai breakfast year-round and they rotate between Moroccan, Swiss, and Mexican style meals among others throughout the year. We ordered an iced oolong milk tea and orange juice with our American style breakfasts. Everything was delicious. The next day we came back and tried the English breakfast which was also fantastic. We cannot recommend this place enough and we're looking forward to coming back in the future!

You can experience the foreign breakfast here. The food tastes great and the clerk is very friendly. There is only one large table, so you have a seat close to the strangers. If you are here alone, it’s a good place to chill, but when you have breakfast or lunch with friends, you need to care about other customers.

The Food looks like exactly as the pictures. We liked this place so much. We went twice during our time in Tokyo and both times the experience was great. Coming back again to this place next time we Come back to Tokyo .

Visited in November 2023 when they were running the Moroccan menu. Food and service are good. They were generous with the mint in the tea. The dining space is small, basically a long table that seats maybe a dozen people. Doorway is quite narrow so do be careful about carrying many/bulky things

Yelp
World Breakfast All Day is unique. The menu changes to feature a different country's breakfast every month and it's absolutely brilliant! The staff were lovely; they really took the time to explain what the new breakfast was, and how to typically eat it. They also carefully plan the menu each month so that they can try and get a hold of all the authentic ingredients for each dish so they really go out of their way to bring you the real experience. They always have American pancakes and a British fry up on their menu, but if you get a chance to try the featured country's breakfast you won't regret it!

Yelp
Super interesting concept. Small but cozy space. Kitchen is open so you get to see all the action. We came here for breakfast bc it was the only thing open at the time. The door is a small double door like a shutter. Be careful bc its hard to open and we found it hard to fit through. The seating is one long table. Get cozy, you'll be rubbing elbows with your neighbors. The menu is fun and creative. They serve a "traditional" breakfast from a select few parts of the world. I'm not sure if it changes but while we were there they did Greek, English, and Taiwan. We went for the English breakfast and it was pretty good. We loved the deep fried toast, baked beans, and sausage. They also gave us steak sauce but we weren't sure what that was used for. We weren't a huge fan of the grilled tomato but it was pretty in presentation.

Yelp
Great restaurant, serves different breakfast options from all over the world. When I went I had the polish breakfast. It consisted of a potato patty, some sausage and a sour cream type creams. Never had authentic polish food so I can not compare it to a real polish breakfast but none the less the meal was delicious

Yelp
Love this place! So quaint and homey, it beckons the diner to come back again and again. The food was great, not mind boggling. But what can you expect for ¥1500? I had the English breakfast which most closely resembles "bangers and mash". It was delightful and not overly filling. I will definitely be going back to try another offering.

Yelp
Delicious breakfast! Limited menu, with seasonal Offerings from around the globe. This morning they featured breakfast dishes from the UK, Taiwan, Mexico and France. Tasty, and the kitchen is right there so you can see your meals being prepared.

Yelp
For those of you wondering, this is NOT in Pasadena. There is some sort of setup error and the real restaurant is in Japan.

Yelp
I found this spot under local breakfast place on Yelp. By the way I live in Los Angeles but I would like to try this place if I ever go to Japan.

Yelp
World Breakfast All Day was one of the most unique dining experiences I had while in Japan -- and seeing that I ate 15 days worth of meals in Tokyo, thats saying a lot. From the adorably Moonrise Kingdom-esque menus to the fact that they make a mean english breakfast, World Breakfast makes the first meal of the day a truly cute experience, setting you up for a perfectly kawaii day. Speaking of Kawaii, unlike other breakfast spots around the Harajuku area that will leave you with a lasting sugar coma (*cough* Eggs'n Things *cough*) World Breakfast All Day is a nutritious take on truly adorable cuisine. When I was there, the special breakfast was Taiwanese (it changes monthly), but I went with the classic english, which is available all the time. The coffee is lovely as well.

Yelp
This is an all-day breakfast house located in a corner of Gaienmae and within walking distance from Omotesando Hills/Meiji-jingu Mae station. Not pancakes, not egg Benedicts, but strictly "international breakfast". Going "International" means that it features the breakfast plate of a country for every two months. And for May and June, it has hopped onto the bandwagon selling Brazil Breakfast (¥1500) The main dish is café da manhã ('morning coffee'), complete with a sandwich called pao frances, a papaya fruit that is meant to be dipped in the white passionfruit sauce, mochi-mochi like pão de queijo cheese buns, coconut cornbread cake as sweets. Notice the two red and white triangular stuff at the side? The red slab is guava paste (goiabada) while the white slab is Mina's Cheese. They are usually eaten together and known as "Romeo and Juliet" in Brazil. We also had the Palmits Salad, English Breakfast and Muesli Salad. Practically everything on the menu since there were limited choices. While the food made fresh from the open kitchen is homely and decent, I must confessed that they are overpriced. The service was extremely slow and lacking, though the two young ladies (one was cooking, and the other was serving customers) whom I presumed are the owners of the cafe, are clearly aware of the problem. For full review, visit: http://dairycream.blogspot.jp/2014/07/world-breakfast-allday-national.html

Yelp
This is a small cafe, everyone eats around one big communal table. Normally, I wouldn't go for that, however, I didn't mind at all. I think though this is because Japanese people are very polite & very well mannered. On to breakfast, there was a choice of Swiss, American & English. You choose your drink, choose your country dish & that's that! One of our party had the American, with pancakes, bacon etc. The rest of us opted for the Swiss. This consisted of muesli, yogurt, berries, banana & apple compote. The cappuccino was smooth & the other varieties of juices were good too. The decor is sparse to say the least (there was a Toblerone glued to the wall ) The staff were very pleasant & the food came pretty fast. I believe they rotate the menu to different countries, not sure how often they do this though? For something slightly different I'd say give it a go!

Yelp
Interesting little cafe. Special of the day was Malaysian breakfast. I have a peanut allergy and they were able to accommodate me. Even asked to be sure the coconut milk rice wouldn't be a problem. Service was good. You should know it's a 12-seater table that's shared and there is a 1 drink per person limit. But they have lemon water on the table you serve yourself.

Yelp
Love the concept of this restaurant! When we went (9/6/16) a Mongolian breakfast was on the menu. I loved how there were several small servings of different dishes, it made for a great way to taste a variety of foods. I don't usually like sheep meat but it was so tender and flavored really well, it definitely is the best sheep I've had. The staff was extremely nice, the two women working both made an effort to chat with us in English. It is a tiny place but it's super cute and feels open. and it's cool to see into the kitchen and watch how they cook - I can't believe the number of dishes they made in that tiny space! My fiancé ordered the full English breakfast and also thoroughly enjoyed it.

Yelp
There's not much to eat in this neighborhood but this restaurant gets a solid 4 stars for its incredibly cute ambiance. Well worth it!

Yelp
I decided to check this out after reading some good reviews. I think it was worth it tbh. At first I didn't know I was already at the place because the entrance it's really tiny. But once you get inside there's one long table that everyone sits at. Since it was the morning it was only me and a family but the concept of the place is unique. I guess everyday is a different breakfast meal from around the world and that day I had Denmark breakfast. There is also a regular breakfast option too. The food was good, the drink was good. Overall I'd come back again with my friends. It's small and cozy.

Kristina S.

Yelp
The concept seems cool but what I don't understand is why it popped up as one of the "local" breakfast spots on yelp in my area but the actual address says that it is located in Shibuya, Japan. The map shows the directions to the cafe which is located in Pasadena, CA and by the looks of it, it looks like it's leading to someone's house. Is this an error?

Yelp
Literally would not give us a bill until the other group finished paying because they couldn't handle calculating two sets of addition processes at the same time. Unreal.

Yelp
This place is very cute. My boyfriend and I got the Polish Breakfast special. The staff was very friendly and attentive and they had an English menu. The shop is very small and the only table is a communal table, so get ready for a cozy dining experience

Yelp
Delicious breakfast spot - walking distance from Shibuya station. It's small inside- one large table with 7 seats on each side. Staff is friendly and overall atmosphere is cheerful. Flavors were incredible. We had the Polish breakfast special. Iced coffee was rich and fruity.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my dining experience here. This is a small communal table restaurant that focuses on a different breakfast from around the world every day. I happened to come when they were focusing on Turkey. The food was well prepared and seemed very authentic but then again - I don't know what a traditional breakfast entails :) It was delicious - I highly recommend planning a breakfast here when you are in Tokyo.

Yelp
Tiny, cute small local business run by two ladies. The breakfasts are simple and filling, ingredients are fresh and everything is home made. They keep it simple menu with either English or Turkish breakfast(when we were there. The beverage selection is plentiful and

Yelp
OBSESSED. This was our last meal in Japan and it was a perfect one. We weren't sure if it was the right spot, it looked a little touristy on the outside (bad sign for me), but felt relieved when we walked in. Tiny, one long table with two girls manning a small cooking area. We were the first to arrive that day, but soon the table was filled with other locals (all mostly young). World Breakfast does classic English, American and Japanese breakfast every day with a special featured breakfast from another part of the world. As soon as I saw "Swiss Breakfast" I knew what I was getting! I was in awe that two girls could take orders and made food for everyone so quickly. We had our breakfast in about 10 minutes. The price is a little high for breakfast food, but pretty normal for Tokyo standards. OH! And I didn't even mention the vibe in here. Like Wes Anderson meets Japan. They were playing old school Swedish yodeling music (it was cute, not annoying) to go along with their Swiss breakfast theme. Lots of kitchy/nick nacks around the room. It was awesome. Definitely go!
