Tatahi Lodge Beach Resort, Hahei

Third visit with family to this lovely lodge, comprises several lodge type self contained units of various sizes, we stayed in the Cottage. Each one is surrounded by matured gardens with out side furniture and BBQ’s, |The lodges are fully equipped with everything that’s needed for self catering. Bed comfortable with plenty of towels and beach towels. Next door is a group of lovely shops and a microbrewery great pizzas. Short drive to Hot water beach, cathedral cove and Cooks beach. The beach is a short walk from the lodge. Great place to explore.

This place is truly a hidden gem! Strategically located in a quaint small town, it’s just a 5-minute walk to the beach, making it incredibly convenient for morning strolls or sunset views. The natural surroundings are absolutely stunning — peaceful, refreshing, and perfect for anyone looking to unwind. Whether you’re after relaxation or a bit of adventure, this spot has it all. Highly recommended for nature lovers and beachgoers alike!

Cabin was spotless and nicely decorated. Well stocked kitchenette. Back slider opens to a beautiful little garden. Two minute walk to restaurant and a cafe, and close to Cathedral Cove Beach. Gentleman at front desk friendly and attentive. |Highly recommend!

Enjoyed our stay - location was great. Helpful check-in. We were in Cabin 2 and the bed was very uncomfortable for my spouse and I. I generally don’t have issues sleeping on all different types of mattress of both soft and hard but was tossing all night the two nights we stayed. Rest of our trip at different locations were again fine. Would have been 5 stars except for the unsupportive mattress (I generally don’t take the time to write reviews and was not planning on doing so here either as I typically don’t complain but when they emailed me a 2nd time for a review decided to share my opinion)

Great location close to restaurants, the beach and the hiking trail to cathedral cove. Staff were friendly. Rooms are clean, beds comfortable and well equipped. Would totally recommend. We had breakfast at the cafe 2mins away and dinner and cocktails in the brewery restaurant garden next door. Would totally recommend

We were a group of 3 people. Arrived late, but no problem as great directions at the door. One of our group was swimming in Hahei swim. Good practical place to stay for short term. |Host is friendly. Beds comfortable although very thin walls so woken by early risers.

Our room was nothing like the photographs. There was a back garden, a fridge and microwave but the only basin was in the bathroom. This meant that the kettle could only be half filled. The room could not be classified as comfortable. | Location was good being right next to the shopping area.| I would not stay there again

Location is fantastic, close to the beach and all cafes, bars etc.. Beautiful beach and easy to get the water taxi to Cathedral Cove. Rooms overall are nice but as others have said walls in studios are thin so noise travels.
