Tatahi Lodge Beach Resort, Hahei

I really enjoyed staying at this backpacker. The floors, ceilings, and beds are all wooden, which gives it a warm and cozy feeling. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. It felt very spacious when staying here with the kids, and the smaller bedrooms were perfect for a comfortable and restful sleep. The location is excellent—only 1.3 km from Cathedral Cove, about a 6-minute drive to Hot Water Beach, and just a few minutes’ walk to Hahei Beach. The staff were also very friendly. Highly recommended!

Third visit with family to this lovely lodge, comprises several lodge type self contained units of various sizes, we stayed in the Cottage. Each one is surrounded by matured gardens with out side furniture and BBQ’s, |The lodges are fully equipped with everything that’s needed for self catering. Bed comfortable with plenty of towels and beach towels. Next door is a group of lovely shops and a microbrewery great pizzas. Short drive to Hot water beach, cathedral cove and Cooks beach. The beach is a short walk from the lodge. Great place to explore.

This place is truly a hidden gem! Strategically located in a quaint small town, it’s just a 5-minute walk to the beach, making it incredibly convenient for morning strolls or sunset views. The natural surroundings are absolutely stunning — peaceful, refreshing, and perfect for anyone looking to unwind. Whether you’re after relaxation or a bit of adventure, this spot has it all. Highly recommended for nature lovers and beachgoers alike!

Cabin was spotless and nicely decorated. Well stocked kitchenette. Back slider opens to a beautiful little garden. Two minute walk to restaurant and a cafe, and close to Cathedral Cove Beach. Gentleman at front desk friendly and attentive. |Highly recommend!

Great location close to restaurants, the beach and the hiking trail to cathedral cove. Staff were friendly. Rooms are clean, beds comfortable and well equipped. Would totally recommend. We had breakfast at the cafe 2mins away and dinner and cocktails in the brewery restaurant garden next door. Would totally recommend

We were a group of 3 people. Arrived late, but no problem as great directions at the door. One of our group was swimming in Hahei swim. Good practical place to stay for short term. |Host is friendly. Beds comfortable although very thin walls so woken by early risers.

The advertisements were misleading to say the least, while I wouldn't stretch to say deceptive it was thoroughly disappointing upon arrival. to the extent that we did not stay there at all just booked a different place and left. there were no support or compensation offered by the host. Too bad was all we got.

We gave this accommodation a 10/10 score ! The management were professional, cheerful & incredibly helpful.The room is immaculate, sunny & thoughtfully furnished and the location is stunning .
