Tatahi Lodge Beach Resort, Hahei

Very comfortable stay. Shower is amazing. Location is perfect. Need some TLC as its old. The last time we stayed was 27 years ago with our little children, Hahei is one of our very favourite spots and will definitely stay at Tatahi again, this time much sooner. Kim at reception was polite and efficient.

We enjoyed our stay! Great location! The Owner even drove us over to the top of the walk down to Cathedral Cove which was stunning. We washed and dried laundry. Enjoyed the kitchen. The nearby Hot water beach was a treat too.

I really enjoyed staying at this backpacker. The floors, ceilings, and beds are all wooden, which gives it a warm and cozy feeling. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. It felt very spacious when staying here with the kids, and the smaller bedrooms were perfect for a comfortable and restful sleep. The location is excellent—only 1.3 km from Cathedral Cove, about a 6-minute drive to Hot Water Beach, and just a few minutes’ walk to Hahei Beach. The staff were also very friendly. Highly recommended!

Fabulous location and well kept grounds with abundant birdlife. The dawn chorus was lovely to hear. Rooms were very tidy and kitchen well equipped. The owners were extremely kind and understanding when our van broke down . Check in was simple. Highly recommended.

This lodge is absolutely picture perfect. The rentals are beautifully maintained and even come with thoughtful touches like milk for your morning coffee or tea. The apartments are nestled in a lovely garden, just steps away from the Brewery (which also serves great food), an ice cream shop, and a wonderful café with a delicious breakfast menu. The beach is within easy walking distance, and the Cathedral Cove track is just down the road. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

Third visit with family to this lovely lodge, comprises several lodge type self contained units of various sizes, we stayed in the Cottage. Each one is surrounded by matured gardens with out side furniture and BBQ’s, |The lodges are fully equipped with everything that’s needed for self catering. Bed comfortable with plenty of towels and beach towels. Next door is a group of lovely shops and a microbrewery great pizzas. Short drive to Hot water beach, cathedral cove and Cooks beach. The beach is a short walk from the lodge. Great place to explore.

Beautiful room and you can tell they've gone above and beyond with the amenities, the quality and brands of everything was so nice.
