Tatahi Lodge Beach Resort, Hahei

the location couldn't be better. Literally 1min walk from all the restaurants, shops. We stayed at the Tatahi backpackers lodge. At first this was a bit strange for my family. This was their first time on share house kind of thing. But all the concerns rapidly went away. The room was spacious, very clean and everything looks new. On first night wife had little trouble sleeping due to the pillow. I spoke with the staff and they were more than accommodating and give us another pillow which my wife was happy with it. The share area always spotless, multiple fridges . Lots of games for the family. Overall this was a very experience. Highly recommend.

Very comfortable stay. Shower is amazing. Location is perfect. Need some TLC as its old. The last time we stayed was 27 years ago with our little children, Hahei is one of our very favourite spots and will definitely stay at Tatahi again, this time much sooner. Kim at reception was polite and efficient.

Amazing location and the staff really add to the atmosphere. You seem to have to figue out how the shared living it works as you go, but eveyone appears to embrace it and it works. Our dauhter loved having other kids to play with. |Bathroom facilities are old and tired and could do with some TLC.

We enjoyed our stay! Great location! The Owner even drove us over to the top of the walk down to Cathedral Cove which was stunning. We washed and dried laundry. Enjoyed the kitchen. The nearby Hot water beach was a treat too.

We’ve just stayed again (our fourth time) and we still absolutely love this place. It’s the kind of spot that feels easy from the moment you arrive – welcoming, relaxed, and genuinely well run.||The staff were excellent: friendly, helpful, and always up for a chat or a local tip without ever being intrusive. The place is clean, comfortable, and has everything you need for a great stay, whether you’re stopping for a night or settling in for a few days.||What we enjoy most is the atmosphere. It’s got a really nice mix of travelers, and we’ve met people from all over – English, Chinese, German, Thai – which makes it feel warm and social, but still peaceful when you want to wind down.||We recommend it every time and it’s become our go-to whenever we’re in in Hahei.

Fabulous location and well kept grounds with abundant birdlife. The dawn chorus was lovely to hear. Rooms were very tidy and kitchen well equipped. The owners were extremely kind and understanding when our van broke down . Check in was simple. Highly recommended.

Excellent accommodation, our rooms were spotless and thoughtfully designed. The staff went above and beyond, every interaction was friendly. Easy walk to restaurants and the beach.

Great location beach, food, drinks and groceries all walking distance. The lodge had everything we needed and was super comfy and clean. The owner was friendly and very helpful.
