Tau Vegan Restaurant

Visiting the Tau vegan restaurant in Vienna is a must for every vegan who goes there.The restaurant is tastefully decorated and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful.But most importantly, the quality and taste of the food is unique.We got huge portions and the food tour made them very desirable, and in the world of taste we felt no compromise, we got delicious, filling meals. Even the non-vegan members of my family were completely satisfied with the quality and taste of the food. Very good place. We will definitely visit every time we are in Vienna and we recommend it wholeheartedly to all vegan and non-vegan guests.

We have here lunches regularly, and sometimes also dinners. That’s an awesome place with outstanding quality/price ratio. Portions are satisfyingly big, but the best point is the taste. For each of the dish it’s smooth, perfectly balanced and has everything you want from food. I’d also like to add that it’s a vegan place, so all the “meat” based foods here are actually plants based, which is awesome. The staff is so welcoming and helpful, so your meal time is safe if you come here!

One of the best vegan restaurants in Vienna and in particular in the 1220 district. The food is yummy and the service is exceptionally good. It's also easy to reach by public transport and finding a parking is also a walk in the park. For vegans and vegetarians, don't think twice, I highly recommend this restaurant.

We chose Ma Po tofu, Crispy duck with noodle, and one with rice. We were able to choose the Asian or European taste of dishes. They were all tasty and extra large portion than we had thought. It was so good to taste many traditional Asian style in vegetarian dishes here in Europe. The service was nice and heart-warming like we are familiar customers. Have nothing to complain about. They also give us small gifts for New Year celebrations. So generous.

It‘s my favourite restaurant in Vienna. As a vegan it‘s amazing how many different meals I can choose from and they all taste so good! My favourite is the „Acht Schätze“. And everyone working there is an absolute sweetheart! Cannot recommend enough! :)

Went for lunch at Tau for a few times. We've tried few dishes already, and I could say everything was great apart from one dish that was a bit too salty - I forgot what it was. Last time I came here with my husband to celebrate my birthday and the staff gave me free dessert with candle on top & a cute dolphin necklace as a gift! <3

Starters were AWESOME! Actually tasted the mushrooms. "Duck"was awesome! Home-made Mochi was awesome! Fried pineapple was awesome! Family business, home/freshly made food/vibe. Extremely kind service. I'm already sad that they will be CLOSED for April. I will return in May 😁❤️🌱

Small family run business. Very friendly and attentive service. Steamed dumplings were tasty, as well as the main entree of vegan teriyaki chik’n. Great garden to sit and enjoy the nice weather. Willing to make alcohol- free drinks, which I appreciate.
