The food at Tavern 214 is very good. I got the Cheese and Salumi plate, which consisted of salami, 3 hard kinds of cheese, meat, and 1 prosciutto-like food, which was sweeter than prosciutto. It was all very good. I had their ginger-ale, and it was ok. They could have made it a bit more flavorful. The service is very good. They are a bit slow but good. They are very enthusiastic, and they know what they have to do, and do it well. The Bartender does not refuse to make a drink that is not on the menu, but they can make it, such as a ”Sbagliato.” The atmosphere is also very good. I went to this restaurant at night, and they had very dim lighting, or as the bartender puts it, the good ”feel.” The atmosphere is very calming. All in all, the Tavern 214 is a good tavern with a good atmosphere, good service, and, most importantly, good food.

The staff and the chef were all super accommodating and incredibly nice (chef even visited the table to ask how things were), but the food was simply, well, average. You can always tell nervous cooks by the overuse of balsamic in their dishes... I don't want to knock it, it is better than average (particularly for the area), but still, not exceptional, let alone worthy of the Manhattan-esque pricing. Definitely one of the better restaurant experiences you'll find in the Catskills, but in our group's opinion, a "just OK" food review.

Found this wonderful restaurant while enjoying the fall colors. From preparation to presentation everything was great. The appetizers were some unique combinations especially the bruschetta. The spare ribs and lobster mac were fantastic, Everyone made use welcome, we felt like we had made an awesome discovery.

We had our Wedding Dinner on Nov 1st. Their entire teams was so accommodating and professional. I did everything remotely from NYC and it was all perfect. I trusted them implicitly and they more than exceeded our expectations all our guests are still raving about how amazing the food was. I cannot that them enough for making my special day so magical.

We have a ski home at Hunter Mountain and eat here frequently. T214 is always consistently great. Pete and Vivian are awesome hosts and restaurant veterans. You will be hard pressed to find better food, service and ambiance in the area. Cowboy steak for two at the bar is my favorite and our pups always get to enjoy some leftovers.

I food run and bus here during the summer. Everyone who works here is great, they all put customers first. The lobster mac and cheese is my favorite, but everything I've eaten here (just about every item on the menu) is delicious! Come visit us soon!

Great staff, lively vibe and most importantly DELICIOUS food. Menu was mix of American classics like steaks and fish, but also included other eclictic items like tuna poke and smoky chipotle braised ribs; all were excellent

The food was delicious and so was the ambiance. We sat in front of the fire on a cold night and it was perfect. The service was fantastic as well. Definitely will go back.
