Wow. Words cant describe how amazing the food is at Tavern Bonaca. The best and freshest seafood in whole of Croatia. We ate squid, octopus and seafood risotto. Everything was scrumptious. And ended the day with the delicious chocolate cake. Everyone who loves seafood must eat at Tavern Bonaca and they will never forget such amazing food experience .

We’ve visited Bonaca three times during our stay, and each time was absolutely delightful! The food was consistently outstanding – everything we tried from the menu was delicious and prepared to perfection. My personal favorites were the sea bream, the grilled octopus, and the risotto – all bursting with flavor and cooked just right. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. It was always a pleasure to return, and we truly looked forward to each visit. We have eaten in a lot of restaurants all over Europe and this is one of the best that we will never ever forget for the excellent experience. This restaurant is also quite popular with the locals. Food is so fresh and the service is top notch. You can tell that the food was cooked with passion and there is a soul in the taste of the food. Service was great and everyone was so hospitable. Worth every penny we spent and highly recommended. It is a shame I wasn't able to come back for my birthday but will definitely visit again when we go back to Dubrovnik.

This charming local restaurant was recommended by our host, and it truly exceeded our expectations. Set right by the coast, it offered breathtaking sunset views that created a perfect backdrop for the evening. The atmosphere was relaxed yet authentic, with a lovely seaside vibe that made the experience feel special from the start. The food was the real highlight — absolutely outstanding. Every dish was made with incredibly fresh seafood and prepared with what felt like cherished home-cooked recipes. You could taste the quality and care in every bite. From the perfectly grilled fish to the rich, flavorful seafood stew, everything was a delight. It’s not the cheapest place, but you absolutely get what you pay for — top-quality ingredients, generous portions, and a truly memorable dining experience. If you’re in the area and appreciate excellent food and a beautiful setting, this place is a must.

Delicious food, great service, and nice atmosphere. Perfectly cooked risoto and octopus salad. Caught a glimpse of the chef making homemade pasta! Looking forward to coming back to try it. Highly recommend!

Zvonimir was our amazing server, so outgoing and knowledgeable. He even helped us with the fish carving. He truly made our experience one of a kind. The food was amazing, fresh fish and tasty meats. 100% recommend.

Had a great meal, the waiter was incredibly friendly and got my food to the table really quickly! Had the beef stew which was delicious! It would be awesome if there were some Croatian desserts because I would have definitely had some!

There are no words to describe how good this tavern is. Amazing seafood (we've tried octopus, squid & swordfish). Everything was very fresh and so well made. The staff is also great, helpful and funny and the location is so calm. And it's only 10-15' away from Dubrovnik tourist masses!
