Taverna Corfu Bad Ischl

Arrived just after 8pm on a warm July evening and with the majority of their outside tables occupied I was looking forward to my evening. After standing by the entrance for a few minutes, and being ignored by the staff, I was finally approached by a waitress who didn't bother with any pleasantries, or apologies for keeping me waiting, she just said we "We are closed". Wow. How not to run a business. As we left, looking at the plates and faces of those that were dining, I feel we dodged a bullet. My 1 star service and atmosphere marks are generous. As I didn't get to try the food I've given it a middle score. Do yourself a favour and avoid.

I rarely ever write reviews but I have something to share this time. As we were looking for a place to eat and I love the Greek cousine, despite many bad reviews here we decided to give it a go. Restaurant was full from about 75%. We were seated, ordered the drinks, recieved them in about 5 minutes, and ordered pita bread with tzatziki as a starter and chicken Souvlaki as a main. All good to this point. I was already done with my drink and neither staff ready for another order or the starter to be found. We waited for 1h 20m for the starter. Tzatziki was probably as delicious as if I would try to prepare them for the first time myself. But I'd still use some grated cucumber, which they didn't. Pita bread with no seasoning. Only salty thing at that moment was me at the table. After another 20 minutes we got main course. I've been to some very good Greek restaurants and some not very good ones. This, ladies and gentlemen, was a new level. Chicken Souvlaki, which didn't look like the chicken Souvlaki at all. Rice dodgy, meat dried to dead, slightly burned and no seasoning. Probably first time in my life leaving without the tip at all. Surprised with all the positive comments here. Bad staff, extremely slow servis, bad meal. And I don't think I've chosen "wrong meal" since the chicken Souvlaki you can get anywhere as one of the basic Greek meals.

Super tasty food and very friendly staff. We ate salmon pasta , beans and rise, all was very good. Keep in mind that the place is cash only.

Everything is correct. Nothing spectacular, but worth it for the price. Staff was friendly and fast

We didn’t get the chance to try this place despite our excitement to do so. We saw that they closed at 2:30 and arrived at 2:05, and were informed they were already closed. Please update operating hours!

Delicious food and great service. Price is very reasonable. Ambiance is good.

The boss bought his round ! This would have been enough but they had to cook great food and serve it quickly. Four stars on the piano : really good looking, but definitely need to be tuned. We had a great time here !
