Taverna Karavomylos

Disappointing to be honest. The positives. The views are amazing. The service is quick and efficient. The negatives. The food. We visited as part of a tour group (this was the lunch stop on a full day tour from Zante.) We tries a local pie like dish (apologies, the name escapes me.) It was luke warm, and came with around 10 French fries, no vegetables or salad etc. We were charged 13€ (IIRC,) for the only disappointing meal we had on holiday. I don't like to give negative reviews, but I do feel I must be honest. If the food had been included in the tour cost, you'd have accepted it. Paying what we did, it was disappointing

A lovely place to stop for lunch on a day tour of the island. It was crazy busy and there was some confusion over table numbers but they were still getting meals out pretty quick. I only marked them down as I specifically asked for the tuna salad to only have olive oil dressing. It arrived with a great blob of either mayo or salad cream, which I detest. I tried to catch the attention of several waiters but they just whisked past. I gave up as we only had a certain amount of time, and ended up with half a salad after I'd tried to scrape it off. The setting itself is fabulous, but they need to be better organised and listen to customers requests. There was one lovely waiter, I can't remember his name but he said he was from Cameroon, who was very chatty and friendly when he came to clear the table and bumped the service rating up to 4 stars.

We’ve been here a few times because we love the trees, the ducks, the peace and the best waiter in the world Gorges, we visited last year too and he remembered us! All the staff are great though It can be busy during lunch when coaches unsurprisingly arrive to view the most spectacular vista and sit drinking in a picture postcard seascape but in the evening get there early enough and you have the choice of best views. It’s a special place

This is one of the best restaurants in the world. Stunning view, lovely staff and amazing food at great prices. So good we found it 8 years after first coming (and having to drive across the whole island!). Paradise. Can’t recommend enough.

Really cool location by the sea. The food is good and fresh. The staff are busy and server a busy crowd. Can recommend the aubergine dip. Some of the waiters are great to chat with. Only downside is that it is a little inconsistent on food. Souvlaki and chips were so so. The feta and salad was lovely. The wind can be an issue though. You may have to hold on to your hat, glasses and loved ones. Though should be holding them anyhow. ;) The local brewery beer is really good. The white wine is average.

We have really enjoyed dining with Karavomilos Tavern! The views are just beautiful here right on the beach front. The service and food were excellent! We started with a large Greek salad, it was very large serving size. There were four of us and we struggled to finish it. The souvlaki chicken I can definitely recommend. We had the best chats with our waiter Yannick. Thank you for a very enjoyable experience.

It is one of the best restaurants i have ever eaten and the location of it just on the wave by the beach side makes it a perfect place to spent your afternoon or evening. The seafood menu is spectacular and the cook is very good. It is worth a visit.

After a trip to the caves, find yourself a piece of heaven, to relax in the calmness of this super taverna. Its got great food, not overpriced with a group of friendly waiters ready with a smile and super service...literally 3 mins drive from the cave you'll want to stop off here and see the lovely geese too. I can't belief the beach isn't full. I'd say come before anyone else find out about it!!!
