I walked past this Pacific Ocean-front restaurant, painted glimmering white, with sophistication, and an extensive wine list.
I sat down, ordered our Pinot, and enjoyed the quality and attention that seemed to surround the ambiance.
And then I watched as we chewed through our overcooked octopus...
One star deduction when saw them turn away a couple with children. We saw them reject food from some patrons, while invite others in. Why would a half-empty restaurant turn away money and business, particularly after the lunch rush? Not wise.
Another two-star deduction came from the $40 trout and $35 fried half-chicken that were below average, particularly the dry chicken.
Great setting and wine. Poor food and values.
