Taverna Man-Tella

This is our second time dining here. We always come during the low season, so the atmosphere feels really nice. I really enjoy the food, and the service is good too. I love the feeling of having a meal here with my family. We’ll definitely come again if we have the chance

This taverna is a real hidden gem! The food tastes just like home – fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. You can tell that they use only high-quality ingredients, with vegetables and herbs that feel straight from the garden. The chicken dishes were a highlight – tender, juicy, and made from bio-grown poultry, which really makes a difference in both taste and quality. Another big plus is the nearby parking area made especially for customers – very convenient and stress-free when visiting.

I was pleasantly surprised by the more-than-reasonable prices and the very generous portions. A nice touch was the complimentary dessert at the end. Service was quick and efficient. While the dishes weren’t exactly to my taste (I usually prefer grilled food), it was clear that everything was well prepared and carefully made. My son ordered a tomahawk steak that was so big and tasty, we all felt full just from sharing that. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by a major issue: there was a noticeable cockroach infestation in the area, which really ruined the atmosphere and made us leave earlier than planned. I hope this is just a temporary problem and that it gets addressed, because the place definitely has potential.

Everyone who went this restaurant knows that this place is famous with its Village rooster. So we tried it. But come on!! This is an ordinary chicken! Not a village rooster!

Visiting from Australia, we ate here on the recommendation of 2 friends back home. This is the place to enjoy very traditional, non seafood Lemnian cuisine. (The village is inland - not the place to eat seafood!) We ate Rooster stew with flomaria (traditional pasta) and wild rabbit stew with onions (stifado). Also we had zucchini fritters with tzatziki and a lovely salad of black eyed beans. The flavours were excellent and we enjoyed everything. The portion sizes were very very generous. Prices were cheap compared to Myrina. We thought it was great value.

A taverna that you must visit if you are at Lemnos! Traditional greek dishes with plenty of local ingredients! Generous portions, full of flavour notes and great value for money! We tried the greek salad which was delicious, the fried beef meatballs with fresh fried potatoes for the kids and they loved it, the wild rabbit with onions a la stifado and I couldn’t believe how delicious it was and the local pasta flomaria with rooster and tomato sauce and it was also amazing! Friendly and efficient service team, nice garden in a beautiful small picturesque village! Don’t miss this experience!

another great tavern in the island which should not be missed but requires an early reservation especially for August. Great dishes and nicely cooked meat. Also very good prices especially for the portions and the variety

We called the restaurant in order to make a reservation and they told us that this is not an option that day, because it was supposed to rain. We drove up there and at the entrance they inform us that they will take an order in 20 minutes and we will have our portions in about an hour. We left and went to "Παλιά μας γειτονιά" restaurant in the same village and we really enjoyed it! Great experience with great service and big portions at "Παλιά μας γειτονιά"!
