Taverna Man-Tella

Food was really nice. I ordered a goat dish and the meat was melting. My friend had the pork tomahawk. We both left happy and full. The only criticism I have is that our meals arrived at different times so that I already finished mine and he looked quite hungry at my plate.

Visiting from Australia, we ate here on the recommendation of 2 friends back home. This is the place to enjoy very traditional, non seafood Lemnian cuisine. (The village is inland - not the place to eat seafood!) We ate Rooster stew with flomaria (traditional pasta) and wild rabbit stew with onions (stifado). Also we had zucchini fritters with tzatziki and a lovely salad of black eyed beans. The flavours were excellent and we enjoyed everything. The portion sizes were very very generous. Prices were cheap compared to Myrina. We thought it was great value.

A taverna that you must visit if you are at Lemnos! Traditional greek dishes with plenty of local ingredients! Generous portions, full of flavour notes and great value for money! We tried the greek salad which was delicious, the fried beef meatballs with fresh fried potatoes for the kids and they loved it, the wild rabbit with onions a la stifado and I couldn’t believe how delicious it was and the local pasta flomaria with rooster and tomato sauce and it was also amazing! Friendly and efficient service team, nice garden in a beautiful small picturesque village! Don’t miss this experience!

Everything was excellent! Good prices, tasty and traditional dishes with little super friendly kitties that will accompany every stranger! The staff were always with a smile. Easy parking. The best choice for food in Limnos!

We came to this restaurant guided by the reviews and blog posts that you can try excellent and beautifully prepared traditional dishes.. We decided to try dishes that back in past on Lemnos island were prepared for special occasions. We ordered rabbit in onion sauce and rooster with flomaria. The rooster was dry, the flomari paste was ok, the rabbit was ok, but nothing more than that. Bread and dessert are good. Maybe we were not lucky in our choices that day, but overall impression is for 3. There are much better restaurants on the island.
