Taverna Man-Tella

This taverna is a real hidden gem! The food tastes just like home – fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. You can tell that they use only high-quality ingredients, with vegetables and herbs that feel straight from the garden. The chicken dishes were a highlight – tender, juicy, and made from bio-grown poultry, which really makes a difference in both taste and quality. Another big plus is the nearby parking area made especially for customers – very convenient and stress-free when visiting.

Second time coming here and the liver is still by far the BEST. Was just as amazing as the first time I went. The fava is incredible as well. Pork chop was very dry and disappointing. Overall though I will definitely be going again.

Food was really nice. I ordered a goat dish and the meat was melting. My friend had the pork tomahawk. We both left happy and full. The only criticism I have is that our meals arrived at different times so that I already finished mine and he looked quite hungry at my plate.

I was pleasantly surprised by the more-than-reasonable prices and the very generous portions. A nice touch was the complimentary dessert at the end. Service was quick and efficient. While the dishes weren’t exactly to my taste (I usually prefer grilled food), it was clear that everything was well prepared and carefully made. My son ordered a tomahawk steak that was so big and tasty, we all felt full just from sharing that. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by a major issue: there was a noticeable cockroach infestation in the area, which really ruined the atmosphere and made us leave earlier than planned. I hope this is just a temporary problem and that it gets addressed, because the place definitely has potential.

Well, the reviews didn’t quite match my experience. It’s a budget-friendly option for dining, and while all the dishes were well-cooked, I expected a bit more. The staff were very friendly and helpful!

Everyone who went this restaurant knows that this place is famous with its Village rooster. So we tried it. But come on!! This is an ordinary chicken! Not a village rooster!

Visiting from Australia, we ate here on the recommendation of 2 friends back home. This is the place to enjoy very traditional, non seafood Lemnian cuisine. (The village is inland - not the place to eat seafood!) We ate Rooster stew with flomaria (traditional pasta) and wild rabbit stew with onions (stifado). Also we had zucchini fritters with tzatziki and a lovely salad of black eyed beans. The flavours were excellent and we enjoyed everything. The portion sizes were very very generous. Prices were cheap compared to Myrina. We thought it was great value.

Cons: - There was a bird nest over our table and one bird pooped on our food - There were tens of bugs flying around and landed on our heads, in our glasses and on the table - The waiter brought us a dish that we didn't order - It was really hard to get the waiter's attention - One of us ordered Local Rooster Stew and the dish included half a rooster with skin, bones, neck and everything. Literally a rooster split by half and put beside some pastas Pros: - The food service was really fast.
