The food is amazing. Had a Sopa de Cação that was very tasty and well made. The restaurant offers a balcony with a beautiful view as far as the eye can see. Greatly recommend having lunch here and then visit the castle where the restaurant is located. I also found the staff friendly.

Stellar views and wonderful food. Seems to get very busy so recommend booking in advance. If you want to take chances like we did you can join a wait-list on the day (we were lucky to get a terrace table after about a 45 min wait but I'm not sure that would happen every day)

Best meal with a view! Food was a bit pricey here and took a bit long to come out but it was delicious and very generous portions. One portion was enough for two people. The view is unmatched to any other restaurant. Highly recommended the cod fish here.

We visited this beautiful restaurant on a busy Sunday afternoon. The views from the terrace are outstanding. Service was excellent, with friendly staff and head waiter who spoke excellent English. Our food was of a high standard, with good wine. I enjoyed the Roast Lamb whilst my husband enjoyed the Pig Cheeks. Thank you all for making our trip to Monsaraz so very special, would definitely recommend this superb restaurant.

Nice restaurant inside castle walls. Food was good but what I enjoyed the most was the vast list of local wines and especially the one we tasted.

This was such an amazing spot. I ordered the octopus and it was cooked to perfection and served with delicious potatoes and vegetables. This place also had amazing views of the Portuguese countryside. All-in-all, I would definitely come back to this small town just for this restaurant.

Wonderful location , from the terrace you see till Spain.. The food is excellent and the service is professional and quick. The espresso topped the deal … and made my day.. Highly recommend
