I heard great things about this place, yet, I feel like we got ripped off. We had the "Easter special" for the price of 35€ a plate. We took 2 (that's 70€!!), one lamb one goat, and we got mainly bones. One plate was even a smaller portion than the other. Did we get the bottom of the pot? I've eaten great lamb dishes before for a similar price with so much meat that I had to take the rest home. But this was very disappointing to the price they charge to get a bone plate. If I had to guess the weight of the meat, it would not pass 100g. Flavour was fine, but still, not exceptional for the prices they charge. Service however was great and friendly.

The restaurant is a big one with large seating capacity. We liked the Old school candlelight ambience for dinner . The service was also nice. The prices were high. We had grill plate for 1 person (mixed vegetables as sides) and Paired Souzoukakia (my hearty recommendation for this one) along with rice noodles . One cappuccino and one cola. Paid around 60 euros for this with just enough portions. I am no judge for Greek cuisine , however the food was nothing exceptional to us, considering the prices.

7 of us Stopped by Monday night for a nice dinner and we weren’t disappointed. Foods: huge portion and very good. My wife and I always share our foods so we got a salad ($11), a chicken skewer chicken rice dish ($23). Salad was very good. Since we didn’t know how big the portion was, We thought about adding another skewer but it cost $17 so we didn’t do it. Luckily we didn’t because portions was enough for 2. Servers: friendly and fast Atmosphere: even though it was Monday night, but the restaurant was packed with parties and diners. Menu: they also have English version

Been here a few times and the food is always great. Love their octopus and the aubergine with feta and tomato sauce. Also their green olives are amazing. Plenty of other great dishes, but those are my favorites. Service can be a little slow. Last time they missed a dish, but always make sure to take it off the bill. Nice big space, so even though it gets crowded it isn’t a long wait ever. Nice atmosphere worth coming back to.

Google
It was so delicious and authentic! This is the best Greek restaurant I found so far. And I'm living in Berlin for 4 years.

Google
We came to know about this Greek restaurant and its popularity. Not taking any chances we visited after making reservation. We were promptly seated but being summer outdoors were already full. Nonetheless, the restaurant is very airy and with pleasant ambiance. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The food both vegetarian as well as non vegetarian is very tasty in fact one of our best dinners in Berlin. Their, skewers are very delicious. At the time of payment complementary dessert and a shot of Greek liquor ouzo was a big and pleasant surprise. The rates of the restaurant are reasonable.

I love this place! I try to go to this restaurant whenever I’m in Berlin, and I always like to eat here with a group of friends. I always just tell the waiter to put together a menu of their best dishes, and everything is absolutely delicious! The restaurant has an energetic yet cozy vibe, and the grilled octopus is a must!

Google
It was not only the best taverna in Berlin but the best restaurant I’ve ever been to! The staff were very kind and helpful. We celebrated our friend’s birthday and they provided us good desserts and candles! Also we ordered “menu” and it included small amounts from everything. It was the best decision! Everything was extremely delicious. Also, the music and the vibe were super nice. 👍🏼 You should only call earlier for reservations because it’s very popular in Berlin!

Yelp
Best Greek restaurant in the city! Friendly, great service, delicious food, good privacy, indoor or out.

Yelp
I just love this place! The food is extremely delicious especially after having tried quite a few Greek restaurants in Germany ,the United States and Greece itself, for me this is the most authentic to the " real deal"! The servers are very attentive (and some, quite attractive;-) I never experienced a long wait and everybody is treated like family. At the end of your stay they even send you home with a little something on the house (coffee, ouzo, whatever you like)... I cannot wait to come back to Berlin to go back to my favorite place and food!!'

Yelp
The food is not good. Serving plates with industrial cheap ingredients in a 80th prepared way. But the service is great and the free dessert helps to forget the bad meal

Yelp
Brilliant local Greek restaurant. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and terrific food.

Yelp

Yelp
Sorry everyone, this place didn't do it for me. I had the Anamikto Piato and it was the worst mistake of my life. Toast and cheese and some dried up kebab meat. Give me a break. Basically for 25 Euros I got 50% carbs and 50% dried up meat that originally was donated to the Syrian refugees by the Red Cross. Count me out bro. I'm going to go home and watch Goodfellas tonight, drink a six pack and forget about this wasted meal.

Yelp
Great Greek food. Friendly, cosy and more importantly always packed! You can order main dishes or lots of generously little ones think Greek Tapas. I keep thinking they will be tiny portions so tend to over order! The stuffed Squid is good, the Sardines, the salad, the meats.. okay this could take forever. The Menu is endless which means everyone is catered for, even people who don't generally like Greek food. Try and book especially if you are more than four persons! It's a bit cramped. I do find the seats become a bit uncomfortable after a while but for the normal diner this shouldn't be a problem. Like I said I tend to over order so I find myself sitting there for a long time! If you have never eaten Greek before and are looking for a restaurant to try then please let it be this one! This way you will not be disappointed!

Yelp
My daughters words..."the best dinner she ever had". I must agree, but I'm partial to Greek food. So, go with the side dishes all the way to food bliss. Staff was also super friendly. Went there on Easter Sunday and this place was jam packed. All other restaurants were basically empty. That should say a lot about a place. Will surely be back!!!!

Yelp
Best Greek restaurant in town! The food is absolutely delicious and so in the wine (especially the white wine from Santorini), the service is prompt and very attentive, and was topped off with free dessert and ouzo - what more could you possibly want?! The portions are pretty big though, so be aware of that we you go crazy on the delicious appetizers. They also service a very generous portion of free grilled bread (which is delicious too), so try not to overeat on that to leave space for the actual meal. The place is pretty backed, so making a reservation is recommended. If you like Greek food, this place is a must in Berlin!

Yelp
Great Greek food. Anyone from the USA- this place rivals any great restaurant in chicago's greek town neighborhood. The squid and calamari were amazing- wood grilled We were also big fans of the saganaki- which is hard to mess up but also delicious Several main course entrees were a hit with the group

Yelp
Ordered a Chicken Souvlaki, was pretty good but nothing special. Maybe I should come back next time for some seafood though.

Yelp
Had lunch at ousia today, lovely decor ... a slow time 3:00 pm, ordered an entree and margaritas that was definitely not worth the cost.... so disappointed... meatballs were good so was the shrimp wrap, doughnuts Were interesting..... I must say our waitress Melanie was not interested in being there, service was "one star" perhaps because we were the only two Ladies there ? By 4:00 pm she was asking us to pay the check since she was leaving soon.. we left at 4:30 and she was still there... will not be going back

Yelp
We had a really lovely dinner here, but we made the mistake of first going to their old address! Make sure you head toward #54 not #16! We walked in at 8:30pm on a Thursday night without a reservation. They scrambled around and found us a table for two. They had a menu in English (although with greek food, it wasn't so necessary as we are so used to Greek food in New York) and the waiter was charming. The place is cozy even though it is pretty big. The service and food were great. I particularly liked the haloumi and gigantes. The spanikopita was pretty different than what I am used to and was a bit too greasy for my tastes. My dining companion was pleased with her grilled chicken. The house wine was decent and the brought us two free rounds of ouzo at the end of the night. I had repeatedly said I didn't want any but they were some insistent guys. Great experience. No smoking outside, but they have a little tent set up outside for those who can't make it through a meal without a cigarette.

Yelp
Rather nice ambiance, cosy and cramped, and the food was good, as always plenty of it, and a bit heavy on the meat But as always, I did not disappoint and managed to finish most of it. When we left, we were told they didn't take switch (or visa), another German peculiarity, you need cash a lot of the time. The guy was going to let us go without paying and said we should just come back another day which I thought was rather nice. But then grandma managed to find some money in her wallet, so we could pay after all!

Yelp
The spanakotiropitakia (spinach ball dumplings) were the best thing on the menu! Overpriced for the quality of the food.

Yelp
Great little greek (cypriot?) taverna. Excellent food, good prices, open late, and the dudes working there super accommodating. Best value restaurant in the area by far.

Yelp
Great Greek Taverna!!! Been a few times already and everytime it's perfect. Food is almost as delicious as in Greek itself. Staff is really friendly and more important: they're all greek! Stop by and have an ouzo (or 3!!). Dessert: Loukoumades!!

Yelp
I have eaten here a number of times and love it! I have had the chicken soup a few times which is very nice and tasty. This review was written in 2009.

Yelp
We throughly enjoyed our meal here. The menu is has all the Greek classics on it and the food is well prepared. The meze plater was especially awesome, as was the grilled calamari and saganaki. It's very popular, so make a reservation.

Yelp
Super Restaurant , very small and family like ambience , always full , great dishes and food love this place for me best greek taverna in Berlin
google avatar

Saskia S.

Yelp
Meze are famous all over Greece. Severall small dishes will end up being a whole meal and here at Ousies you can choose from a staggering 119 different ones: Vegetarian, fish, meat, cooked, fried, grilled, steamed, raw To go with the food they offer a small range of good greek wines. I love the choriatiki (greek salad), saganaki (fried cheese), spanakokeftedes (spinachomelett), kolokithokeftedes (zucchiniballs) and much more. The atmosphere of the Ousies is authentic, that of a greek tavern including the noise level. You should reserve a table and I recommend a window table in the room at the front, or below a greek balcony in the courtyard.

Yelp
Wonderful place! The food was of very high quality, from the different meats to all of the starters that they have. You can sense it is food prepared freshly every day. The service is also really good. Prices are a little bit high for the Berlin standard, but after your meal, you don't think twice before paying.

Devi B.

Yelp
Our favorite restaurant in Berlin. Better to reserve before you go. The service and ambience are above par. The food is excellent and we prefer getting couple of small dishes instead of one main course. Recommended by many of my Greek friends! A must go for food lovers.

Riccardo N.

Yelp
The best Greek restaurant in berlin west. The food is good, the owner warm and funny, prices fair. Always full, you'll need to reserve. Also get an ouzo at the end of the meal. You'll need it!

Qype User (Mrs_…)

Yelp
Fresh delicious food served by charming waiters/waitresses! We had to wait for our table despite having made a reservation, but the restaurant was buzzing and we didn't mind waiting a bit. The food was worth it at any rate - and I would absolutely come again! Just make sure you make a reservation!

Qype User (shavan…)

Yelp
5 Sterne!

Qype User (DrSaki…)

Yelp
Do you want to taste the best greek food in town and the best service? Go to Ousies!!!!!!!! As simple as that!
