We had an amazing experience at Taverna Trastevere in Milan.
As a starter, we ordered focaccia with ham and ricotta, which was absolutely delicious. For the main course, we chose pumpkin risotto and pasta in tomato sauce with pork cheeks.
The risotto was very good, but unfortunately my pasta was much fattier than I expected. Because of that, I couldn’t finish the dish, even though the sauce itself tasted great. Most likely, it just wasn’t the best choice for a main course.
For dessert, we tried traditional Roman buns with cream. They were very simple, yet incredibly delicious 😍
Overall, the experience at this restaurant was fantastic. The atmosphere and service were excellent, and the open kitchen—where dishes are prepared right in front of the guests—adds a special touch.
Definitely a great place to visit in Milan.
