What a find! An exceptional stay in this small boutique 9 room hotel. |The building - perfectly positioned for all amenities, beautifully restored and decorated in a stylish quirky interior|Bedrooms - our room Oleander (front, ground floor) large and bright. Others have said that the other room at front near the door is a little noisy. Our room was very quiet during our stay. Very comfortable bed and fabulous rain head shower, fluffy thick towels, coffee tea facilities, no fridge but as we used the honesty bar for drinks this wasn't really an issue. Only tip we would feedback to Tavira house is that the position of in room safe on the floor was a bit awkward for our old bones and failing eyesight but we managed fine. I took my own hairdryer, the room did have a small travel sized option.|Breakfast - outside terrace or indoor dining area. Served every morning with a warm smile from Joshi who was exceptional in his service. Consisted of fresh bread rolls, croissants, fresh squeezed orange juice, yogurt and a platter of fresh fruit, meat cheese then rounded off by pastel de nata. Every 2nd morning scrambled eggs was also served|Roof Terrace - excellent space with 6 loungers, umbrellas and some casual seating. Area was exceptionally clean and tidy and most of the time during our 5 day stay we had the area to ourselves.|An excellent stay and would def return.

This guest house was recommended to us as quirky - in a very charming way. It's an old house, restored and decorated with simple style and modernity, whilst still keeping the really interesting architectural features. ||It's a great base for the town, in a quiet location with free on-street parking. ||Philomena, the manager, was very helpful, kind and attentive - nothing seemed too much trouble for her and her staff. Continental style breakfast was served, with fresh coffee or tea, and when my partner asked if he could have his bread roll sliced and toasted, the response was, 'Of course'. ||We were very comfortable - although I imagine it might be chilly there during the winter months. Also, people with mobility issues might find the stairs difficult.

This is a fabulous small hotel in Tavira. It’s in a very quiet street. The rooms are really nicely decorated and everything works well. The WiFi is really fast. Breakfast is served in the morning and is normally croissants, ham, cheese, fresh fruit and eggs. The common areas are beautiful and there’s a very nice roof terrace. Filomena, who runs things is incredibly kind and welcoming.

Great location. Room had some annoying factors - mainly the lighting and the lock on the door. The A/c unit had a bright light that made it hard to sleep. Also the recessed lights came on in the middle of the night which made for poor sleeping. In room coffee maker is loud and with an early rising spouse, made sleeping difficult. The door lock was also noisy again with early rising spouse going in and out very noisy with the door. Breakfast was very good as is the rooftop deck great - for a post or pre-dinner drink. Stairs are steep and a bit slippery so be careful. Probably wouldn’t stay here again, even though the decor and staff are lovely.

Most gracious hosting, clean and comfortable, beautiful sitting room -- Tavira House is a real pleasure, and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, the rooftop deck was a great place to relax, and there are delicious breakfasts each morning on a delightful patio -- I highly recommend Tavira House.

This hotel offers great rooms in the very center of Tavira, very near to restaurants, the river, the castle, and everything that you may need. The service there is amazing, very considerate, and if you can, you should include breakfast in your stay there because it cannot be better. I honestly can't say anything negative about the place in the two days that I spent there, and if I ever go back to Tavira, I will stay in Tavira House for sure.

This is a very individual hotel, located in a quiet backstreet, in the centre of Tavira. Each room is quite different, but those which I saw were all roomy and very pleasant. There is a very large roof terrace, which is not overshadowed and offers the chance to relax and sunbathe in a quiet environment.|The staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the manager, Mena, deserves special mention for her kindness and sympathy when one of us was ill.|Very highly recommended.
