The various island itinerary websites says Tay Bay Beach is steps away from Preacher's Cave. Google Maps says it's further down the "road" another ~2 miles away or so. Well, I'm here to inform that the "road" on Google Maps when you choose to go towards Tay Bay instead of Preacher's Cave is a barely driven dirt road, soon becoming a grassy slightly worn path with the jungle encroaching on all sides. If you end up on someone's property with a hammock out front, keep going (turn left after the hammock). There's no going back, no space to turn around, you've committed to the journey.
But it's worth it. When you literally can't drive any further, park. There's a path to the right. You don't have to walk much further, maybe 200 ft, before you see it. Yes, there's a ton of garbage washed ashore among the trees. But step into the sand and you're completely alone on a pristine, pink sand beach with shallow turquoise water and it's all yours. BYOShade and water. Wouldn't recommend the snorkeling, but would thoroughly recommend the swim and lounge.
