Google
Great store they had a great sale for Black Friday for 20% off through the weekend. Great material and good quality men's clothes. Great spot to checkout if you're in the Mission neighborhood!

I wasn't so sure about tailored to fit pants before... but I might be convinced to become a return customer! Let's see how these wear~

Very nice clothes for men. If you like good quality and cuts, and the staff are nice and friendly.

Taylor Stitch has always been a favorite of mine for their constantly rotating line of shirts which always look, fit, and feel great. This visit I was getting measured for a custom suit and the care and attention that was given was beyond what I expected even from a shop that I was already a huge fan of. Do yourself a favor and stop by the shop I guarantee you'll walk off with something. Better yet, sign up for the news letter and see all the great stuff that is coming out of the shop on a regular basis. Best. Clothing shop. Ever.

Nice store with quality clothing and friendly staff.

Love the Ojai jacket in charcoal wool. Have been wearing it for nearly 3 years. Recently, I had an issue with the buttons but Michelle reached out quickly and helped, so I can keep on rocking one of my favorite jackets!

I've been waiting for 3 weeks for an in-stock item to ship from the website. I placed my order 7/2/17. I emailed "Hayley Chill" in customer service on 7/5, 7/13 and 7/18 regarding the lack of shipping notifications. It was not until 7/18 that a label was generated but as of today, 7/19, the item still hasn't been recorded as picked up. I've never had service issues like this in the past. Its apparent my order was lost/not processed correctly and Taylor Stitch staff doesn't even have the decency to respond to my email asking what happened. I also needed some replacement buttons because their "Japanese Urea" ones broke on my chambray shirt and you can't find replacement in a sewing store. While they didn't manage to send my order, they did send me the wrong size buttons. Wrote them an email about that too. Update: Jeans have been received. They took 20% off due to the delay. I am still waiting on the correct buttons.

Used to be that you could go online or in-store and grab as much made-in-USA menswear you could possibly stand. Glad I did as much shopping with them in the early aughts, everything I bought from them that was made in America was 100% of heirloom quality. From the fair ends tshirts to the original Good Acre chore pants to the original project jacket I've got a lot of gear from them that just wont quit. They still specialize in all those great textiles, Halley Stevenson fabrics, great dress shirts, but if you're looking for made in America look elsewhere. An unfortunate side effect, they've moved most of their production overseas; no matter the "responsible" nature of an overseas production it still takes more carbon to get to US consumers than it would if it were made in the USA. Taylor Stitch still provides excellent quality for price, however, even if their motorcycle jacket doesn't have pockets for armor.

Yelp
I found Taylor Stitch on IG. I was reluctant to purchase a gift online because I had never heard of Taylor Stitch. Once I had decided to purchase online, I waited too late to get it in time. When consider buying clothing online I always blow up the photo and look at the stitches, buttons and hard ward (I've been sewing for many years)...so I purchased it over the phone at the Valencia location. As a small business owner of over thirty years, I've learned that customer service is just as important as the quality of a product. Brian picked up on the second ring! I told him my situation and I was able to purchase it in about 1 minute. Brian promptly sent me the invoice via text. I told him my daughter works near TS and she would pick it up. Once she arrived there was no parking. I called and spoke to Brian again. I asked if he could run out and throw the bag in her car. He said he would! I describe her car, and gave Brian her name. Both times when talking to Brian I felt like he was more than happy to accommodate me (which he did). When my daughter got home with the product, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pants. They are beautiful! Some may think it's a little pricey but I think you get what you pay for and I can tell that this item will be worn for a long time. The only thing I must regrettably say is that the website wasn't as easy to get through or else I probably would have purchased shirts there too. Also, there should be a way to get a website discount if you walk in. Thank you so much Brian. I can't remember the last time I received such great customer service.

Yelp
Don't know why all the bad reviews. Maybe they don't have a kiss you butt customer service approach which doesn't sit well with the new mission hipsters.... I've always had a good experience. The thing here is really a quality vs. quantity issue. All of their stuff is made from very tastefully chosen materials and in most cases - designed to outlast most other items in your wardrobe - which justifies the prices - in most cases IMHO.

Yelp
I'm picky - too picky. I love these clothes. Live the shop. People who work here are great.

Yelp
I needed a shirt. 2 dudes sold me 1 shirt. In and out. Love that. @ all the China reviews: like I get it, but there is no ethical consumption you capitalist sluts.
google avatar

Yelp
TLDR: I'm sad to give a lowish review to TS. The style has always been good, but it used to be SLIGHTLY pricey and made in the USA with good quality... but now it's half and half on quality and made in China. I'm mostly leaving this review to let management know how I wish they'd change. The TS website doesn't really allow for leaving reviews, it seems. Some of my favorite pieces of clothing are quality older Taylor Stitch pieces, mostly made in the USA. Great style, good quality stuff. But... this was years ago. I do like the idea of the workshop, but paying $88 for a thin pair of shorts that could have come off the rack at Macy's made in China? $98 for a thin shirt of the same quality you'd find at a department store? If it were USA made that would be one thing, but it's not anymore. Sure you can talk these products up, but they've got synthetic components a lot of the time and you can just TELL when something is well crafted. I don't care what the paragraph of features you put out is, I can TELL when clothes are well made. A lot of the new TS is not. As much as I love the design and colors, I think I'm done for a while buying. I would love to see state side manufacturing again. It's done by other companies and they charge at a slightly higher price point... which I'm FINE with... but at this price point for (even ethically run) overseas factories? It would have to be lower on a *lot* of these pieces. I think TS has gotten too interested in designing and pumping out clothes at good profit, which I can't blame them for at all, but it just makes me sad to not feel confident about ordering, anymore.

Yelp
I payed the premium for clothes because I was supporting made in USA! I refuse to pay the same price for mass produced junk from China, I don't care about the brand, I cared about where it was made. I will be looking elsewhere for clothes now, really tragic. I have been wondering why the quality slipped so hard, and I realise I missed that they switched production to China, everything makes sense now. I cannot believe I payed 125$ for a shirt that was made in China ... absolutely unbelievable money grab. Everyone is so selfish anymore, just are about the dollar, not the product or where the jobs are. love how hard TS are trying to sugar coat how they moved production to China for higher profit as being a good thing. Spandex and all the other subpar synthetics are filler material, say what you want about "movement" but it lowers quality and it deteriorates more quickly. Btw TS, anything less than 80% wool is worthless and no longer supports the whole point of wool. That is some free basic textile knowledge for you And you're selling 50% wool? That's worthless I have been burned by taylor stitch to many times recently to ever buy from them again. The Yosemite shirt shrunk two sizes when following the direction of cold wash and low dry, I didn't even dry it. Cheap cotton and poorly made in China. I have participated in many funding of workshops, and recently TS has been putting workshop items On sale for more than the discount Offered at workshop level... right as they're released. What is the point of funding them? I funded the Stetson shirt, saved 10$ from what I was told it would be sold... then they put it on sale for 50$ off as soon as it is released. And refused to acknowledge a single email from me, zero response. Funded the Stetson hat and that is just MIA two moths later than advertised because of "corona" Pants coming needing to be hemmed, sugar coated as meaning you can make them the perfect length I have to pay a premium AND go to a tailor lol?! Of have a sewing machine and be good enough not to ruin 125$ pants.... obviously just another maneuver to save money and only have to sell dif waste sizes, saving on being stuck having extra stock I guess. Total BS I hate TS now. They have become junk I agree they have become J Crew, first step was China. Should have kept doing what you were good at TS. Now you are cheap and I will go elsewhere for well made clothes. You can fill the void J Crew has recently vacated... by filing bankruptcy Hate you very much.

Yelp
My favorite Men's retail shop in the city. I often stop in even when I'm not actively looking for something. Chris manages the store and is always AMAZING. Highly recommend to anyone in the Mission.

Yelp
Shirts have always been good quality, if a little pricey. Worth getting a shirt or two if you in need of a style upgrade/quality shirt especially on sale.... Is what I would have said BEFORE they started manufacturing everything in China! What happened? The same shirts I have that were "Proudly made in California" are now made in China--with not even *that* much of a discount. *Clear* and *shameless* money grab. What a fall from grace. Can't support this company anymore. 2 stars instead of 1 just because the shirts they made before were ethically manufactured and of good quality. At least they tried? Can't speak for their new "Made in China" line.

Yelp
Great looking clothes, impossible to buy, they advertise things they do not stock and just cannot seem to answer simple or direct questions about their merchandise. Painful waste of time, charging top dollar while delivering nothing to the customer.
google avatar

Tom M.

Yelp
The clothes are beautifully made, sourced, and emit a classic Americana that never goes out of style. The customer service? Painful. I have tried numerous outlets (messenger, email, phone call) to expedite a refund process. Each and every time, I am promised a timely turnaround; yet every time I have been disappointed with the lack of continued communication or follow thru. I'm not asking for my money back, just asking for credit to purchase a different item at TS. Considering how quickly coveted items sell out there, I have reason to be anxious. Please fix your Customer Service. It is doing the quality of your clothes absolutely no good. *Update: After emails, messages, phone calls, Taylor Stitch continued to kick the can down the road. Surely enough, the item that I had long been anticipating purchasing with my credit has sold out in my size. Because it is a Last Call item, there will never be any inventory again. Frustrating? Extremely. Until these sorts of issues are figured out I will not be purchasing from or recommending Taylor Stitch to anyone.

I have one workshop item on its way in late September but I'm sure I'll be sending emails again to try and get it. Ladies, there are plenty of other sustainable/made in the USA companies for women now that all have better customer service (ex. Suzann Elizabeth, Vetta Capsule, Tradlands), spend you money there. (Note: In no way affiliated with any of those companies...just speaking from a good customer experience)

Yelp
Shipping to Canada is a joke! I will never order from Taylor Stitch again, ever! I will also tell all my Canadian friends to never order from there. It cost me about $120 to ship a $160 jacket. What a complete rip off!

Yelp
Can you be everything to everyone? Well, how about everyone of style and substance? I think in the latter case, The Common has signs of promise to do just that. You want to pick up a sharp Pierrepont Hicks (http://pierreponthicks.com/default.aspx) neck or bowtie? Or how about a Taylor Stitch (http://www.taylorstitch.com/bengal-stripe.html) heritage button-up shirt. Fine women's dresses, frocks and jeans (http://www.tellason.com/), too. The look and feel is natch timeless, simple. The space itself is developing and unstructured, with Four Barrel Coffee and a communal table arriving soon in back. There's a sizeable event space to the side, suitable for private events of your own design, with plans for art openings, film screenings, workshops and more. Upstairs, I hear rumors of a barber outfit going in. And bringing it all together are the guys that run the place. Stand-up fellows. True urban gentleman. I stopped in this Friday and was greeted with a beer and a tour of the place. I left with a reversible bowtie, and paid for it via their iPhone (https://squareup.com/). Oh, they also threw in a pair of collar stays to keep me on the straight and narrow, not a bad farewell if I do say so myself.

Yelp
This saga continued to be absolutely terrible. My boyfriend went in to buy a shirt and ask for his measurements (so he could get some other shirts tailored) and they printed out the aforementioned order and gave it to him - before he received the gift. Very clearly written on the order form was a note that this order should not be mentioned to my boyfriend. So instead of mentioning it to him they printed it out and handed it over to him. This brand tries incredibly hard to cultivate this hipster vibe, but their customer service is beyond a joke. They repeatedly messed this order up and really did not do anything to rectify the situation. I would strongly discourage anyone from spending money on custom orders with them.

Yelp
I was about to pull the trigger on a purchase but stopped after reading the reviews. So thanks to those who posted. And to Taylor Stitch: I tried to provide feedback on your site so you would know why I declined to purchase, but that doesn't seem possible. And I tried to close my account, which also doesn't seem possible. That functionality is either missing or really hard to find. It looks like you have cool products or at least cool product ideas. Suggest you address the issues directly.
google avatar

Duard C.

Yelp
I tried to contact Taylor Stitch about a shirt I bought. The button holes of my shirt were already coming unthreaded after two weeks. The shirt was otherwise nice and, I thought, durable. I expect this from Forever 21 and H&M, but these shirts should be higher quality considering the high price. I sent an email with a picture on their "Customer Contact" form, but they refuse to respond to me.
google avatar

Jiro R.

Yelp
My husband bought some shirts from them and had one shirt which was completely not wearable due to the shrinkage despite following the care label instructions. To get a human being to actually talk to in regards to this return was like searching for the holy grail- no phone numbers, no information and the phone number I eventually found was no longer operable. I am an avid online shopper and really appreciate the companies that have good customer service and seem to care about their clientele. THIS COMPANY IS NOT ONE OF THESE CARING COMPANIES. BUYER BEWARE.

Yelp
The dawn of the well-dressed man is upon is... and thank god it is! I went here because of a referral by a close friend of mine. I've been doing a lot of research on some great quality denim and I was not disappointed at all. Right upon entering, you'll notice that it's not really a large store at all, it's more boutique (if that's accurate) in my opinion, and very cozy. You'll see stacks of their denim right as you enter, clothes on hangers on your left and right. Taylor Stitch also lets you tailor your own shirts (and suits too I believe). Anyways, I give this location 5 stars because of how incredible their product is, and how HELPFUL their staff is. I haven't owned a great pair of denim in days, and I threw out questions left and right and the staff was more than able to answer it all. I've always doubted people's kindness, but man these guys really make you feel welcomed. So if you're looking to upgrade your game pimpin, come here, talk to the staff, and walk out happy.

Brian G.

Yelp
Strange new effort in retailing men's clothes. Limited sizes at high prices. Weird policies and poor customer service. My efforts to inquire about a non-clothing item were met with lies and the complete inability to help. Not only would I not shop with them, I would encourage others to avoid them like the plague.

Dee J.

Yelp
I made two separate purchases from Taylor Stitch (first time customer) in May and June 2021. Rover (slate dry wax rip-stop) and Bomber (black dry wax). Both on Last Call and both were shipped within 48 hours of order. Both received within 5 days (the 2nd order came a day earlier than expected). Sizing (XL-44) on the jackets was exactly as the website indicated; fit across chest, sleeve length, shoulders all were a perfect fit for me (6' / 205 lbs). Material appears high quality and the stitching and finishing looks excellent. I am extremely happy with both jackets. My only experience with customer service was asking how to re-proof dry wax and I received a prompt (24 hours) reply. I have absolutely no issues with TS and will purchase outerwear from them again.

Grant H.

Yelp
Call me silly.....But I trusted these guys again. Yep, they are still terrible! They are the slowest shippers known in existence and I have asked twice for help with their customer service and absolutely no answer. If you buy anything from here do not expect it for 3 to 4 weeks at a minimum.

G D.

Yelp
Taylor Stitch makes good stuff, but they are really moving away from their roots. It used to be you'd pay top dollar for a top quality garment made in the USA. These days, you're still paying top dollar but a ton of their stuff is coming out of China. Come on guys... Customer service is good. Fit is unreliable. The 40 shirts fit me perfectly. I ordered a size 40 denim jacket and it was quite a bit snugger than the shirts. Then I ordered another jacket in size 42 for the extra room and it was even smaller than the size 40 jacket.

Aaron J.

Yelp
I had the minimal wallet in brown and have absolutely loved it. Over time with standard wear and tear, the pockets began to stretch, so I needed to hold it together with a rubber band. Since I loved the wallet so much, I messaged them to see if there was anything they could do. They are sending me a replacement wallet free of charge. This customer service is amazing. Definitely will spread the word about Taylor Stitch!

Yelp
My brother in-law turned me onto this place since he was really into their basics section. After checking out their stuff online I went to their brick and mortar location in the Mission which has the majority of the stuff you see online as well as fabric swatches for custom shirts/suits and some local crafts they sell. I can't speak to the customer tailored clothing but their other items are quite nice. I really like their t-shirts and sweatshirts because of the great fit, quality of fabric and craftsmanship. If you're into homegrown SF companies, check this place out.

Yelp
I recently purchased jeans online. Unfortunately the fit was small. I was locked out of my account and could not initiate a return. After sending multiple emails with no reply i found a chat tool on the website. After roughly 2 hours (yes hours) chatting with a representative to exchange my jeansI got nowhere. I then called the store and the sales associate told me this happens often and that the Customer Service Manager would give me a ring back by EOB. Unfortunately I did not hear back... TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
google avatar

Gayle L.

Yelp
The worst customer service ever on their website. DON'T order from them. unresponsive, no phone number, when in chat they just drop off instead of helping. They may have the best clothes in the world but if you can't service a customer then you don't deserve sales.

Yelp
what's with all the one star reviews, i received my shirt in the mail yesterday indigo waffle weave, very nice but not soft like they advertised? maybe will become soft after first washing?
google avatar

Ryen A.

Yelp
My husband and I tried to get matching custom shirts made for our wedding. We got them back 3 times, each time ill-fitting and unwearable. We had to find other shirts last minute. I'm ONLY (generously) giving them 2 stars because the store manager did everything in his power to correct their factory's mistakes on the fly. He also reimbursed the payment. Too bad time and energy spent can't be replaced. At this point, I don't recommend getting bespoke shirts at TS.
google avatar

Yelp
Clothes made for hipsters, by hipsters, in the Dogpatch. Friendly staff, nice denim, and an almost apologetic rack of not-made-by-them clothes to round out the selection. Their main focus is shirts; I came in looking for trousers, and found a few options that almost fit. They do all their pants in a 36" inseam with free hemming; this seems pretty reasonable to me, and greatly reduces the inventory requirements. As long as you're not in a hurry (hemming takes most of a week), this gives a lot of flexibility. I might be by for a tie next time...

Yelp
The Common is like a farmer's market for the culture vulture in you. One part boutique, one part gallery (first show is next month), soon to be music venue, and the best cup of coffee on the block (Four Barrel!), the Common is common ground for many of my favorite things (and probably your's too.) Just a hop away from my work, I am so happy that they've moved into the neighborhood. There's no need to be afraid of our very own Skeezy Sixth with all these great new places opening up!
google avatar

Yelp
Just came back 3.5 years later wearing the jeans I purchased. They have holes around the ankles but that's normal for all my jeans. I washed them with woolite dark inside out for the first 2.5 years to keep the color and eventually just started washing them like normal jeans. Just purchased a new pair of Italian selvedge denim. They said 1 week for free hemming, and they were done in the same day. Great service.
google avatar

Andrew C.

Yelp
Taylor Stitch may sound like a clever play on "Taylor Swift", but it's actually more reflective of the quality craftsmanship ("tailored") of the clothing made and sold here. Kenny (who helped me out) pointed out that they take a lot of their stylistic interpretation from LLBean, which I love! The fit is somewhat looser and more comfortable and the look is classic. I bought an indigo-dyed T-shirt and was careful to wash it out in the tub before wearing it since they dye could run into your lighter clothes. The shirt feels and looks incredible, so I will definitely be coming back for more. Great spot to stop into after rolling through Four Barrel to get your caffeine and consumer therapy fix

Yelp
I bought a Gilt City Groupon for a custom Taylor Stitch shirt for my husband's birthday, so we decided to pop in last weekend. We had an awesome experience. My husband ended up walking out with one custom shirt, two shirts off the rack, and a t-shirt. I would not be surprised if he comes home with more when he goes to pick up his custom shirt. My husband has really long arms, so he's always wanted a custom shirt. But the off the rack Taylor Stitch shirts actually have longer sleeves than most, so he wouldn't necessarily need to go custom. But custom was so much fun! We were overwhelmed (in a good way) by the gazillions of fabulous fabric options. And the boys who run the place are adorable. Really sweet and helpful. And at least one of them is a graphic designer, so the aesthetic of the place is super chic. Loved everything about the experience. And my husband is psyched about his major sartorial upgrade.

Greg D.

Yelp
I bought their duck double knee work pants. Buttons aren't riveted came off immediately. Stitching also poor, back pocket ripped in the first week for $128 I could have bought many pairs of carhartts which would have all lasted years. On the plus's side their stuff looks really good Instagram ads.

Yelp
Sells shirts that are well built, sturdy, stylish. It's well worth the money. My only complaint is I didn't buy more when they were on sale. Shirts from other brands I bought at the same time have all failed by now, theirs is still in good condition. Perfect.
google avatar

Yelp
Great spot with cool clothes of the highest quality and an impressive staff who understand how to make the shopping experience authentic and fun. The shirts and sweaters are unique and glad I found the place. Great neighborhood too. Check it out.

Yelp
4.25 stars. I am convinced that the Common is an epic sartorial black hole sucking in the contents of my checking and savings accounts. Of course, my complaints are limited because unlike other black holes, this one gets into the Christmas spirit and actually gives back. And the presents? Tellason raw denim jeans. Custom made Taylor Stitch shirts (which doubles as the only place in the world where you can get them). A collection of leather shoes and belts that drift one's mind back to yesteryear Americana in a pleasant way. One could easily construct the entirety of their casual menswear wardrobe from these select offerings. If you are like me, then the idea of constructing your own custom clothing without studying fashion might be a rather difficult one. Thankfully, the individuals running the store 1) clearly have a better eye than you do and 2) are willing to give a few tips without taking away the experience from you. Having said all that, I think it is best to study for a couple of hours and bring in at least two patient neutral observer friends before making a purchase. The prices here are legitimately steep, but they are incredibly cheap when you consider the fact that you are designing your own clothing. Also, if designing your own clothing is not your bag, they have a decent selection of finished products that you can buy straight off the rack. If you take the time to study colors and textures, then The Common is a great store for you. Even if you are a novice like myself, you can still create excellent choices that fit your own personality. If you are a guy that likes the idea of creating your own image, then there is no reason you should not visit this store.

Yelp
Overpriced crowd sourced fashion roulette! Preface:I have three short sleeve shirts and five long sleeve shirts from this company and wear most of them still. This means i probably have dropped almost a grand on this company, but i have stopped doing so since the price has gone up and the quality has remained the same, good but inconsistent. I do love the fact that they are an American company and even make a lot of the shirts in the us (although the ones made in Portugal are my favorite). Some shirts are 5 stars (but should be for the price) some aren't worth the price but are good shirts(3-4 star), and some shirts are huge disappointments (1-2 star). So what i mean by overpriced crowd sourced fashion roulette is that you will pay tons of money for a shirt that even in the crowd funding stage is pricey, only to receive shirts of varying quality. I will admit that i love a few of their shirts and wear them at the beginning of every work week. The short sleeve shirts are also a bit tight on the armhole so you may want to size up on those if you don't have malnourished vegan arms. Some of the shirts (even short sleeve) are not breathable and i can't imagine people in California wearing them in any season except winter. But why two stars Kevin? Why, you big fat jerk? The first reason is because they don't deserve the current rating ( I would give 3 but i think they need to be knocked down a bit further and come to Jesus) The main reason, however is that I don't think they deliver consistent quality control or quality assurance. I have had to sew a button back onto 2 of the shirts, one shirt arrived with a loose stitch, one shirts lower sleeve/cuff splits open/exposes my forearm and looks like a vagina. Here are my shirts listed in star order (5)-THE CALIFORNIA In Indigo Pyramid (favorite shirt. fits great, sturdy but breathable) (4) - THE SHORT SLEEVE JACK (own 2 colors) (great fabric and pattern, breathable but tight armholes in comparison to the long sleeve shirts. (3)THE UTILITY SHIRT in Natural Cross Jacquard (would give a 5 but minus a star for the vagina sleeve openings and minus a star for it being very hot and arriving with a loop of fabric that would start to unravel the blue design if i pulled it. (3)-THE MECHANIC ( own 2 colors) (great fit, but I cant imagine any mechanic wanting to work in this shirt. tight knit fabric, doesn't breath well, fall/winter shirt, button popped off/stitching unraveled) (2)-THE JACK In Indigo Stripe Selvage (thin and breathable but doesn't hold up for too long and the sleeves wrinkle so bad that they look like scrunchies In conclusion, If money isn't an object, buy these shirts and you will enjoy most of them, but be wary since they don't mind charging over a hundred for a shirt that may be a new fabric, design, or have some defects you wouldn't expect given the price.

Yelp
One of the best businesses I've ever interacted with. I used to shop at the physical location when I lived in SF. Now I shop online as I live in Boston. They're incredibly accommodating when it comes to returns, complaints, refunds/ exchanges, most times going above and beyond for their customer. They sent me a christmas gift last year simply for being a past customer. Their products are extremely well made, and constructed to have a tailored fit, without the need for visiting a tailor.

Yelp
Don't ever buy custom clothes from them. Their response is slow. The product sucks. I got my custom shirt and many of the button holes are frayed and the quality of the stitching is very poor. When I reached out to them the phone was NEVER answered. I left multiple messages and they were NEVER returned. I wrote mk multiple emails and only 2 were responded to and they expect me to be put out but paying postage and shipping the item back to them instead of trying to remedy the situation without putting me out. Really poor service for a place that holds them self out as nice custom shirts and suits and more. I'm very disappointed in their product and service. I will never use them again.

Yelp
Extremely poor experience, got charged twice for the same purchase and they didn't have my order in their system. The folks on the Valencia store had no idea what I should do. Ended by disputing the charges with my bank. Will not go here again!

Yelp
The Common has become Taylor Stitch but it's essentially the same store. They have awesome stock of American made raw and selvedge denim (Tellason, Rogue Territory, and Taylor Stitch), custom shirts, shoes and other accessories that are well made from quality materials. The guys that work here are great guys who know their stuff. I called asking for a pair of Tellason jeans but they didnt have my size at the store so Mike said that he'd try to get a pair in the next few days. Within 2-3 hours of calling them, he called back and said that he had a pair in the store now. sweet. now i am wearing them. The Taylor Stitch branded shirts are great higher end shirts and they can make a custom shirt for you too. I have yet to get a shirt but everytime they send out an email about their new shirts, I am tempted to drop some money. Stop by, take a look at the great stuff, talk to the guys and I'm sure you'll be buying something from there soon.

Yelp
How can you not like this place? I came here with two friends and my significant other expecting nothing but it to be a clothing store. Little did I know that it was going to be a place that I'd fall in love with. Now why can't there be stores like this in Southern California? I love the fact that they make their clothes domestically and that the quality of the fabrics justified the price point to which they were selling it at. I left the store with a newly purchased button up with my significant other and proud at that.

Yelp
I ordered on-line using using Taylor Stitch's weird sizing chart for pants (why not just call a size 35 waist a size 35?). I chatted with a service rep before ordering but, upon receipt, the pants were way too tight. Next, I ordered a size up and when I got them, they felt the same - way too tight. I decided maybe they're just not made for me. So, I promptly returned them. It's been a month and I'm still waiting for my refund. Don't try to call customer service because there is no number listed. E-mails elicit a standard automated response. Their customer service stinks - I won't bother with them again, neither should you.

Yelp
What a fantastic space. We had an event here last night for a 200 person charity fundraiser. Not only was the event a huge success, with a great turn out... but the welcoming venue made the night' Common has 2 bathroom's to accommodate the guest - and the lines were never that outrageous. The place had such a wonderful open, raw and artistic energy to the place. What a cool place.

Yelp
Two quick stories about this very poorly organized/managed company: I first tried ordering a pair of shoes, which of course had to be pre-ordered with a multi-month wait. The shoes took so long to come that I moved to a different apartment in the interim. I then contacted them to update my shipping address, which they confirmed. They then shipped the shoes to my old address, where they were stolen. I had to stop by the old apartment multiple times and it was a huge pain. After much wasted time, they eventually refunded my money. I then was foolish enough to try to pre-order another pair of expensive boots. I gave them a bunch of money, and then waited for months. I eventually contacted them after maybe 6 months had passed to confirm when the ship date was and if it had been delayed. After a significant amount of wasted time and many emails, it became clear that in spite of the fact that they took my money, they never actually made me any boots. Since the boots were a special order item, they were not able to send me a pair at a later date. I was dumbfounded and really frustrated by the hours of uncompensated and wasted time dealing with them. I received nothing in return except for an eventual refund. I can't even comment on the quality of their products because after two orders, I have never even laid eyes on any of the items I ordered. Fortunately, I am not dumb enough to consider dealing with them a third time. I would sincerely advise you avoid them altogether.

Yelp
I've came here three separate times and I was immerse in the rustic atmosphere. The sign doesn't say The Common, but rather Taylor Stitch but that's okay since it's basically their brick and mortar. The staff is extremely helpful. Without a doubt some of the most genuinely nice people you'll ever meet. Tons of strong MADE in the USA clothing, very cool accessories, and even bespoke boots.

Yelp
Great store. I've had a few shirts made here that have turned out pretty good. The first shirt, however, came out really bad, hence the 4 stars. They did remake it and even let me keep the old one (closet filler?) but waiting nearly 10 weeks for a shirt WITHOUT the suggested update (remove pleats from sleeves, but I let that slide-- was just happy to finally get the shirt) is kind of annoying. The staff is friendly and helpful. Not pretentious like other boutiques in the city. Every time I've come in, I was just in some beater jeans and a tee so it was nice not being judged by my appearance. Anyhow, I recommend them for anyone looking for menswear in SF.
