In Tbilisi, Georgia, Food Is a Language of Resistance | Condé Nast Traveler

"Nearly a century old, this grand address flaunts Western influences with a façade, patio, and balconies that look straight out of Haussmann’s Paris—a stately counterpoint to the city’s wilder edges." - Gary Shteyngart

Overall, very much enjoyed my stay. I visited Tbilisi with my mom and dad. We stayed in a standard double queen room. Although the room was much smaller than how it looked in the photos, overall we had a comfortable stay. A major pro for the hotel is the location - on Rustaveli Ave, which is one of the main streets in Tbilisi. We pretty much walked to all major POIs from the hotel without having to use public transportation. The hotel also has a nice bar and is close to nice restaurants.

This was a very nice hotel in a great location. The rooms had a little wear but the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was quite good. I had access to the executive lounge which had free drinks (water, alcohol, and Pepsi) and food in the evenings which was very nice. The staff in the executive lounge were excellent. I would definitely stay here again.

We had exceptional experience we had at Marriott Tbilisi on Valentine's Day. From the moment we stepped into the cozy ambiance of the restaurant, we were enveloped in warmth and hospitality. The entire staff went above and beyond to make our evening truly special. Every waiter we encountered was not only attentive but also radiated kindness and friendliness. A special mention goes to F&B manager Ksenia, who was an absolute delight and went out of her way to ensure our complete satisfaction. And let's not forget David, whose cool and cheerful personality made our dining experience all the more enjoyable. The chefs deserve all the kudos for creating extraordinary dishes that tickled our taste buds in ways we could never have imagined. Every bite was a symphony of flavors that left us craving for more! And how could I forget to mention the perfectly crafted cocktails that accompanied our meal – they were simply fantastic! It is rare to find a place that not only provides top-notch service but also understands how to make personalized recommendations that enhance the dining experience.

The hotel we stayed at on New Year's Eve night was very convenient. The entire street downstairs was the main New Year's Eve area. But the room service is really hard to describe. I booked an executive room anyway, but it looked very small. I even checked with the hotel to see if it was wrong. There was no toothbrush, only a pair of slippers, and the mini bar was locked. I was only given one quilt. If I wanted another quilt, I had to call twice and it took several hours for it to be delivered. The most disgusting thing is that the mini bar is locked and there is a problem with the water boiler. I made two calls and waited all night but no water was delivered. I almost went to drink tap water because I was in a hurry to take medicine. It feels very bad. The front desk is pretty good, there are a few young people who are very enthusiastic and chatty, but the customer service is really terrible.

The hotel is within 20 min walking distance to almost everything, including Freedom Square, Old Town, although Trinity Cathedral is about 30 minutes walking distance. There are a lot of restaurants within 10 minutes walking zone. Staff were very courteous and professional. Plenty of choice for breakfast although there is not a club lounge for platinum members. It used to be called the Majestic Hotel due to its hundred years old history and beautiful architecture. Definitely a good choice for business or leisure in Tbilisi.

Beautiful hotel. The location is unbeatable. The breakfast and executive lounge are great. Two questions:First, there was a girl at the front desk who was very indifferent. We booked two executive rooms because our flight was very late and we wanted to check out later in one room. After asking about my flight time and whether I was a member, she refused to check out late.Second, there is a large concave and convex mirror in the room facing the bed which makes it uncomfortable.
