TCS Camping Gordevio Valle Maggia

What a great campsite. Surrounded by mountains on all sides, but still plenty of sun. Slightly isolated from traffic and yet not far from the outside world. You can't hear anything here except the rustling of the Maggia. A very good restaurant, as well as a fully equipped outdoor kitchen with seating that invites you to linger. Clean and well maintained with a small swimming pool and direct access to the river. Super friendly and helpful staff. The only thing missing is the fresh and waste water connection on site. Highly recommended!!

Check cost of your stay. Out of all the campsites we stopped at. 22 in total from Cherbourg to Corfu and back. This was the most expensive at 72.60CHF. All had the same facilities. This one was average. I did complain. But they said it was high season and an average price. Funny enough it was high season at the others. Most others on average were €32.

It’s very busy and quit crowded, but the location is excellent, you can swim in the river behind the campsite. It’s not far to family friendly activities, and they accept children and dogs. The facilities are good, with hot water and plenty of space to wash your dishes and even stoves you can cook on if needed.

Great place with excellent facilities! The place was fully booked and luckily we were given the opportunity to stay on their overflow at the parking lot. Luckily because the pitches there are bigger than on the place itself, that was too packed for our taste. Facilities are new and clean and the river is deep enough to take a refreshing swim. We did a little hike to Maggie and visited the beautiful church and the waterfall there.

A very quiet and nice camping next to the river. Friendly and helpful staff. Great bread in the shop:) Nice pool area. Many people were having dinner down by the river in the evening. Lovely place!

Very nice camping place for less money. The sanitary facilities were clean but it could be better and larger (personaly I hate those thin and long toiletpaper...but hey - first world problem right? ;P ) I'm not sure but the Bungalows didn't fit for the camping atmosphere... they looked a little bit cheep but I guess they are very cozy. All in all it was very nice. We had a very good week. Thank you very much - especialy thanks to the personal who clean the sanitary facilities. I'm pretty sure it's absolutely not nice to clean there but they do their job realy good. During the Corona-Situation I felt safe to use them. ;-)

The campsite and the cabin was equipped with everything you need and the common space was kept very clean. It’s also situated close from the bus stop and by the beautiful river and mountains. I really enjoyed my stay there, I will definitely come back again!

The campsite is really beautiful with direct access to the Maggia river. The toilets/showers are clean and well equipped. Unfortunately, helicopters passing over the site every 15 minutes and starting at 8 am made it impossible to sleep in the morning and ruined the calmness of the site. They should really file a complaint against the company offering the helicopter tours.
