Stunning, stunning and then go over the next hill and it’s even more stunning. I am a Maori. I left NZ when I was 12 and hadn’t returned until last year. WOW was the word most frequently said by me. I forgot how gorgeous everything is. I just returned from a month long trip. Last year I went in summer for 2 weeks and it was great I was running around in light clothing ie shorts/skirts and tops this time I returned in winter, I spent all of July back home. OMG take your winter Woolies it got down to minus 5 🥶 I drove the ENTIRE north island over the month and stayed with family along the way and met new family I had found while doing my family tree. I also stayed in a few motels. Every hill I drive over opened a new landscape to me. In one day I had frost, snow, rain, sun, beaches, lakes, and mud baths. There is a something to do for everyone. Each town holds its own and has something to see and do This country is stunning as I’ve said a hundred times before and I am so proud to have been born and raised there. I am also very lucky to have grown up from teenage years in Australia because it allowed me to return to the North Island and see the shear beauty of it. I am returning next year 2025 in summer with my husband to show it off to him

Beautiful part of New Zealand and a must visit if you're around Australia and all the other islands down at the end of the world. No matter if you visit the famous places where the lord of the rings was filmed, nature parks, beautiful and modern cities or one of the many beaches. The north island of New Zealand has so many amazing and beautiful places you should visit. Take your time and find it out yourself!

Beautiful! Is how you describe the North Island of New Zealand. Beaches, lakes, forests, parks and cities all close to one another. Emerse yourself in the diversity of culture and scenery. Watch the sunrise above the horizon of the sky blue waters of the sea. Snorkel in one of many marine reserves and swim with giant snappers (fish). Inhale the atmosphere of cultural festival's and weekend markets. Taste the foods of the world all in one city. Stroll through the forest to hidden waterfalls. Soak away your worries in crystal clear lakes. Welcome to the North Island, New Zealand

I live in the North Island. It's pretty cool. Heaps of attractions. Natural and man made. I want to get out and go see heaps more, but here's some photos I have of a few of the places in the North Island (mainly Auckland area though).

The north island is even more beautiful than the south, you just have to look for the beautiful places all over the north island that are no hot spots

Too expensive, strange environment, nothing to do (even with friends), applying for jobs is a joke.. but good alcohol I guess.

So many beautiful places to discover, lovely restaurants to dine in, inspiring people to meet, things to do... I can recommend everyone to come to Aoteoroa and see what’s it like to visit the Kiwi Way! Make sure to see Cape Reinga, the Sky Tower in Auckland, the marine parade on Napier, the Lake Taupo, the Tongariro National Park, Wellington and it’s nightlife and so on. It’s a lovely place here!
