The Perfect Saturday in Tahiti, According to Pro Surfer Vaimiti Teiefitu

"The bar at Te Moana Tahiti Resort offers the best sunset views, located on a small island with a view of Mo'orea. It's an ideal spot to start the evening with a drink."

"Rare in Tahiti, Manava sits on a white-sand beach on the island’s west coast, offering dazzling sunset views across the water to Moorea. Beyond its romantic vibe, however, the resort is actually great for families, as rooms feature full kitchens that make cooking a breeze, plus modern amenities like free WiFi and flatscreen TVs with DVD players. There’s also a gorgeous infinity pool fronting the beach and lagoon as well as an onsite restaurant, Vaitohi, which offers an extensive à la carte menu of Polynesian and international cuisine. When you need a break from the kids, head to either the Taapuna Pool Bar or the contemporary Punavai Lounge Bar."

AMAZING! The resort is beyond beautiful! The room is HUGE and had plenty of space for 3 people. The whole unit was super clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms were amazing, and very luxurious. The property overall, was amazing too! The restaurants were delicious and had a variety of options. The only thing I wasn't overly pleased with was breakfast. Everybody I came into contact with was beyond pleasant and helpful. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anybody, and I will be staying here again on future trips!

We stayed here for 7 nights and over all had a nice trip. Food: Food was fairly good. There is express breakfast starting at 4am if you have an early flight and full breakfast opens at 6am. Breakfast needs a few more options but had some tasty items. High chairs and booster seats are available. Lunch was good and had a nice kids menu with large portions. Room service needs more options but food was not bad maybe 7/10. You get more food at the restaurant than in room service. We never had dinner at the hotel. Rooms: Though large, they need a deep clean. The bottoms of our feet were black after walking barefoot in our hotel rooms floor. The shower needs to be redone and needs a door to keep water from getting all over the bathroom. Room also has outdated furniture. The kitchen in the room is nice to have as it has a full size fridge and freezer, sink, and two burners. Also dishes were new and clean you have enough for 4 people. Staff: Very friendly and helpful staff. From the front desk to the restaurant, and pool staff, everyone was very welcoming and helpful. Hotel grounds: Very nice green walkways between buildings with fish pond and bushy green plants. The snorkeling spot is not too big but we managed to see a variety of fish such as octopus, puffer fish, black tip shark, and many others. pool: Pool fountain was broken during our visit and seems to have been that way for a while. If the hotel could redo the pool flooring and get the fountain going again and clean the rocks of the fountain it would be a very nice pool. Currently pool is a 7/10 because though it is nice, it does feel old and the pool needs to be resurfaced badly and the fountains need to be on. Location: Close drive to the airport but no atm on property so get cash on the way to the hotel or at the airport. There is a supermarket about a 4 minute drive away/25 minute walk, or there is a small fairly stocked convenience store just a minute walk from the hotel. There is also a pharmacy if you make a right on the main street of the hotel and walk about 5 minutes. There is a beach that is a 10 minute drive south of the hotel.

Stayed at Te Moana resort Tahiti for two nights at the end of two weeks stay in French Polynesia. Of the 4 hotels we stayed in this was by far the nicest. Room was large, came equipped with a kitchenette, great balcony and with sea and island view. Furniture was a little dated and has seen some service, but hardly noticeable given the overall quality of the room. Very friendly and efficient staff with 24hr reception, flowers in our room for our anniversary was a nice touch, nice pool with bar and coral reef. Good range of activities and excursions available directly from the hotel. Resteraunt was pricey, but the food and service was first class.|Breakfast buffet was very comprehensive and filling, wild chickens on the table were a distraction. |All in all, from our short experience, I would recommend this hotel to friends.

Very good experience with this hotel. We arrived early morning and they allowed us to use the hotel facilities before our room was ready. Even on the check out day as flight was late night we were in hotel the whole time and at the end used the transit room to take a shower and change and go to airport fresh. We had some insects in the room which they really helped to get ride of and even changed thw fridge and sprayed all around the room very quickly. In general very helpful staff, willing to help.

We stayed overnight on two occasions and did a day stay before our flight left Tahiti. the rooms were comfortable and the breakfast buffet was quite good. The dining menus were limited in selection and did not include any type of fresh fruit side dish :(. The setting for the resort is lovely and the grounds are well kept. Our day use was a bit disappointing as there was not comfortable place to lie out in the shade. It was either fun sun or a bar stool...no loungers. The shower room was dank and hot with substandard ventilation. It was literally a room with towels, a sink, a shower, and a bench (no hairdryer). We were afforded 30 minutes of use use for both of us to take showers. This place was fine for what it was...a hopping off and landing site and somewhat less expensive than the high-end hotels. Kudos to the management, however, for locating a doctor for a Sunday Urgent Care visit. Can't say how much I really appreciated that effort on their part

Hotel is rather small but rooms are generous and well equipped. Small kitchen is a plus as prices in the rwstaurant are quite high.|Very good breakfast, no vegetables, but fruit and all sorts of salamy, cheese etc. Large choice.|Reception is very helpful, so is all personnel.|Room cleaning is slow, you may have to ask at reception to get your room cleaned.|Sunbeds are sometimes a problem, especially on weekends, as a lot of locals come to the pool! It is written that sunbeds are for hotel guests only, but no one cares!

We found this resort online and really were happy with it. It is simply beautiful, the rooms are large and clean and the beds comfortable. We especially enjoyed the pool and beach view area. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. It is definitely a place to stay to feel that you are, indeed, in paradise!

Day trip worth it! We only had one day on our cruise and we spent it there. It was wonderful. I would highly recommend snorkeling with the group. The lunch was amazing.
