Disappointing is the only word I have for this as I was looking forward to this stay post cruise as it looked idyllic. Upon entering the room (which by the way is in the main building closest to the road which was loud until the early morning), one could not help but notice the bedskirt surrounding the bed was filthy, old laminate lifting and splintering everywhere, bathroom had zero to offer for amenities to it as well as vintage wood vanities showing wear for sometime I imagine. I did go back to front desk to request another room/upgrade I was told that was not possible as the hotel was sold out. I can assure you, as most guests know, if a hotel is sold out, reception is always buzzing, beach chairs are hard to get and restaurant/bars are full. The restaurant on the water was mediocre but you pay for the view. The breakfast 'room' had a buffet, which my husband had was ok. No server to the table for a good coffee, only a machine in a back corner. I thought the infinity pool with waterfall feature (which wasn't working) would make up for it but the entire floor of the pool needs restoration. 10/10 would not recommend. Spend the extra money at the Hilton or Intercontinental. I wish we had.
