TEA 4 NINE, GUEST HOUSE & BISTRÔ, LDA.

Fabulous apartment. Modern, clean, light and airy and well equipped with everything you would need. Lovely big rooms and huge bedroom with ensuite and dressing area. Perfect location for Bars Shops and amenities. Margarida was really nice and supplied us with a fridge full of goodies for breakfast plus a welcome bottle of wine which was very acceptable. We would happily go back any time.

We knew in advance about the stairs (no elevator, 3 flights to the top) but the apartment is excellent and on a small plaza in downtown Braga. Small but well stocked grocery 2 doors down and many small cafes and restaurants a few steps away.

The Tea 4 Nine guest house has a location in the city of Braga which is hard to top, sitting right on a main square and in walking distance of almost everything! ||We entered Braga by car and navigated to the address of the apartment. We didn’t know how parking was going to be arranged and discovered that managing it was a bit of a challenge. I left our car (parked semi-illegally) and walked to the entrance of the building and found a small note with a phone number to call regarding check-in. After calling, two very nice ladies came to greet me, immediately took me up to the apartment and gave me the keys. The owner spoke to me via one of the women’s cell phones and instructed me regarding the parking. I was handed two parking passes (a 3-day and a 1-day pass) for the underground parking garage located under the plaza directly adjacent to the building. You need the passes to enter and exit and they expire exactly n-days after the first entrance, in our case for example 3 days. All good. The €10 per day was debited to my credit card.||That straightened out, we finally made it up to the apartment (named “Limão”) to get settled. The main living and dining area is a large, high-ceilinged bright and cheery room. It was very nicely appointed with modern, stylish furnishings (nothing to last for decades, but pleasant). The apartment has a full kitchen with modern appliances, small dining table and a separate bath and bedroom. ||The “Tea 4 Nine Guest House and Bistro” no longer seems to have a Bistro associated with it, not even a breakfast room. The breakfast was provided in the form of a stocked refrigerator, and a Nespresso machine and some coffee capsules. In general, this was fine but some of the staples required for our 4 breakfasts were not sufficient (butter, coffee, etc.), even for the second day, and I had to contact the owner to have some more stocked. The concept was fine for us, but it could be somewhat better organized. ||In summary, we had a great time in Braga, stumbling into the huge multi-day city festival called “Noite Branca” (White Night)—with numerous live music venues, events and a majority of the people dressed in white flowing through the streets and enjoying themselves. Fantastic. We can recommend Tea 4 Nine not only due to its excellent location but also for the very pleasant and roomy apartment itself. Except for the small points mentioned above, we were very satisfied.|

We felt so lucky to find this place! It's so tiny, you might miss it, but the experience is large. Our "apartment" was lovely and spacious and had a separate living area with a kitchen and fridge. Everything we needed! Breakfast was complete and delicious. Most of all, the host Marguerite is absolutely lovely. We truly appreciated the attentiveness and care she gave us. Don't hesitate - if you can get a reservation this is a great place to stay!

Like another reviewer has noted we expected a room and got a large one bedroom apartment with kitchen, washer/dryer. Breakfast was excellent and served in a lovely courtyard! Margarida and Carlotta were extremely helpful. Great location. Very nice entrance, staircase, tiles. ||We hope to return to Braga and if so will definitely stay here again!!

The guesthouse was an incredible place to stay to get the most out of our family's visit to Braga. Located in the middle of town, the location was perfect though we hardly wanted to leave the beautiful room. The large size and great ambiance of the room were perfect for us to enjoy with our toddlers on a rainy day when we stayed in. The breakfast and the room for it were fantastic with a ton of fresh baked delicious pastries, meat, and cheese. The location was only steps from the historical sights of the town. Our stay couldn't have been better.

An absolute pleasure. The reception is efficient and you are completely independent with your own key to the door of the building. A very stylish appartement, a furnished kitchen and bathroom. Breakfast was delicious and the service perfect. Overall a very lovely place to stay in the centre of Braga near everything. Absolutely recommend.

I was expecting a room and got a 1 bedroom flat with a sitting room, kitchen and a washer/dryer! There were goodies in the fridge with no extra charge. I arrived Easter Saturday and as the normal breakfast could not be served on Easter Sunday the owner left a wonderful assortment of breakfast treats including cake, bread, fresh orange juice. a croissant with jam, fresh strawberries, fresh sliced kiwi and other goodies. The next two days when the usual breakfast was served, it was also delicious. The coffee machine in the flat was excellent. The location was incredibly useful, on a large plaza (so less claustrophobic than some other parts of town) but right next to most of the sights I wanted to see, The shower was good. I really enjoyed Braga and the Tea 4 Nine Guesthouse.||I did have a terrible time mastering the front door lock. If it hadn't had been Easter, the owner would have shown me what to do the first time I ran into problems, as she did on Monday, but before then, once a neighbour and once a passer by, had to open the door for me. ||But I would stay there again in a heartbeat now that I have mastered the lock!
