Tea Around Town

This review is for the Los Angeles version. Route is in Beverly Hills and West Hollywood and is very scenic. We went as a group of 16. Boarding was chaotic with people crowding the door, I think the host should have had a microphone and controlled it better - and a group of 16 should have had tables marked off. Somehow a few in our party were seperated. First note, be aware that there are steep narrow steps to the upper level (despite being mentioned on website some ladies complained). The bus is adorable in decor - our hosts/hostesses didn't wear the cute pink outfits, but were neat and mostly gracious. Beautiful tiers were on the tables. I found the food to be fresh and tasty - plentiful. Note: definitely recommend the upgraded Luxe version that we had - regular looked skimpy by comparison. There are no dietary modifications offered. Note: We were not given a napkin which was very odd - we asked and she said she'd bring them and never did. There was one cloth napkin under the Tiny scones and rolls, but not enough for the table. We were not given any water. The route was very nice along Sunset Strip and Beverly Hills neighborhoods. Credit to the bus driver who had to negotiate tight turns and an unexpected detour. We were expecting live singing and tour talk but just had recorded music and only found out later there was a microphone issue. It would have been nice for them to tell us. Drive was about 60 minutes as opposed to the 75 they said it would be. However we did not feel rushed. Tea was poured at good intervals, about 1/2 tumbler *souvenir which they probably should have reminded people to take with, along with the cute take away box. First tea was a very weak Chai, but the rest were nicely brewed and hot - Chamomile, Moroccan Mint, English Breakfast. Sugar on tables but no cream or lemon available. Parking and meeting near The Wallis in Beverly Hills was easy. ($8) We were thankful they had moved it from original Farmer's Market by the time we went. Overall we enjoyed it but they definitely have some bugs to work out.

I absolutely loved the Tea Around Town bus experience — it’s such a creative and enjoyable way to experience afternoon tea in New York City. It felt relaxing, unique, and surprisingly elegant. We were able to try four different teas, and each one was excellent. The variety was well thought out, and the teas were brewed properly, full of flavor, and served at the right pace throughout the ride. For a moving experience, the quality of the tea service was impressive. The food easily matched what you’d expect from a high-end afternoon tea. The sandwiches were fresh and flavorful, the scones were perfectly baked, and the desserts were beautifully presented and delicious. Everything paired nicely with the teas, and nothing felt rushed or mass-produced. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure everyone was comfortable and well taken care of during the ride. The bus itself was nicely designed, clean, and cozy, adding to the overall charm of the experience. Overall, Tea Around Town offers something truly different — combining sightseeing with a proper afternoon tea. It’s absolutely worth the experience, whether you’re a visitor to the city or a local looking for something new and memorable to try.

Tea Around Town Chicago Our group of eight had a really lovely experience with Tea Around Town Chicago! Upon arrival, things were a bit hectic due to the downtown holiday festival. There was a last-minute change of address, which made finding the correct pickup spot somewhat inconvenient. Once we finally located the bus and boarded, the experience improved right away. The first thing we noticed was the beautiful décor and cozy atmosphere inside the bus. While it looked great, the space could’ve used a more inviting scent—something fresh, sweet, or tea-inspired—to match the theme and enhance that first impression. We were seated and quickly greeted by an extremely friendly staff member who welcomed us warmly and began introducing the teas. Throughout the 75-minute tour, we received three tea samples, each served with care. Seating arrangements already had our nicely presented three-tiered sampler plate with desserts and hors d’oeuvres, which was a great touch and tasted just as good as it looked. A standout highlight was the young lady on board who sang beautifully and offered fun narration along the route, adding extra entertainment to the experience. Toward the end of the tour, we received complimentary customized Tea Around Town tumblers and adorable personalized to-go boxes, which made for a thoughtful keepsake. Overall, despite the rocky start with arrival, it turned into a wonderful experience. Highly recommend giving it a try!

I went to Tea Around Town and had a great time! Even though I went solo, it was still a really fun experience. This is something I'd definitely recommend doing with girlfriends, family, or even if you're a tourist visiting NYC and want to see some citing around the city. The host had a beautiful voice and the singing really added to the atmosphere. She was singing some good classic popular songs, I got to try about six different teas with different flavors. My favorite part was definitely the desserts, they were delicious! The sandwiches were okay. I also loved that they gave me a keepsake cup to take home along with my leftovers in this cute box that match the theme of the bus. It was a cute and memorable experience and I would do it again.

I hardly ever write reviews, but I felt this one was truly necessary—especially to recognize our host Brad and Emily. From the moment we arrived, they went out of their way to make sure my mom was safe, comfortable, and genuinely happy. I was a bit worried about her needing to climb stairs, or if the bus was too narrow for her but they were right there assisting her every step of the way, with so much care and kindness. The food were as good as it looks in the pictures; great portion size, and each tea we had was very flavorful !!!! The “Tea Around Town” experience was absolutely amazing—so thoughtfully done and filled with laughter and joy. Brad and Emily didn’t just host; they entertained and brought such warmth, making sure everyone was smiling and having a wonderful time. It was more than just an outing—it was a memory we’ll cherish. Thank you for making it so special!!!

We decided to give our feet a break and booked a tour with Tea Around Town. The 75 minute long tour took us around NYC pointing out locations like the Chrysler Building, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, and more. We were served a selection of pastries and tea sandwiches, along with 3 different types of tea to sample. Our tour guide was also our entertainment in the form of a crooner. He sang to us as we viewed the sights of NYC in the comfort of a nicely decorated tour bus. Many of the people who booked were dressed for the occasion in floral dresses, bonnets, gloves and parasols. It was so much fun. We booked a tour late in the day so the food was a little stale. I'm sure the earlier you are able to book the freaher the premade catered food will be.

Miami locals beware @teaaroundtownnyc Our experience with Tea Around Town was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The customer service was unprofessional and inattentive, with staff appearing disorganized and unprepared for what should have been a smooth and enjoyable event. There was a noticeable lack of coordination, which created confusion and unnecessary frustration throughout the evening. For the price paid, the food quality did not meet expectations. The selection did not reflect the premium experience that was advertised. When you are charging at a higher price point, guests reasonably expect attention to detail — none of which were evident. The night tour itself was equally disappointing. Due to the poor organization and overall experience, we were not able to fully enjoy what was supposed to be a scenic and relaxing ride. Instead, the bus ride was extremely bumpy and uncomfortable, which made it difficult to relax or appreciate the surroundings. Overall, the experience did not justify the cost, and I would not recommend Tea Around Town based on the lack of service standards, organization, and value for money. As of today they have not reached out to make it right.. Disappointing and would never recommend

The worst plan on Feb 14 in Miami! I planned this ride with my daughter for Feb 14 and it supposed to start at 2:30 pm so We arrived at 2pm to be on time. Well, the bus arrived at 4 pm! They sent a text at 2:38 pm saying that the bus will be there at 3:15 pm but was at 4 pm which is totally unacceptable. My little girl was crying and tired, and many others girls were like her. They arrived and even said sorry or tried to fix the situation. We just got in the bus as nothing happened. Inside the bus just some food and the tea, no music no animation.. nothing. Just a ride. This is not worthy and I hope to get a refund. I came later to another appointment because of the bus!!!! It is just a cute expensive ride that came very late!
