An adorable little shop! The owner was highly knowledgeable and recommended the perfect iced dream for me. The drink was delicious and refreshing. The location was also perfect to take a quick break after walking all day; super calm and relaxed! I highly recommend Tea Bar if you are looking for some awesome tea in a serene location!

A nice way to pass some time relaxing and experiencing a variety of hot or cold tea options. Seating is limited to a bar that faces the window but it's nice to have a seat on a hot summer day inside. Person working did seem knowledgable and was possible to have a conversation about options especially if you're undecided. Some notes though: no bathroom, limited samples to 3 options although the first 2 I didn't specifically ask for, no published tasting notes so you have to guess at the flavor profiles for a long list of flavors.

I must say I’m not sure if I can call myself a tea lover of a tea expert, but boy this one was really really good. I’m going back there I want to take my mom when she comes to the city, as tea is all she drinks and the other stuff she gets back upstate is not that great . I’m sure she will keep talking about it to her friends. The ambiance is just right, but the servers are very accommodating and attentive.

The lady at the counter is welcoming and kind. She helped me pick out my order. While the service and tea was great, I wish there was a public bathroom! All that tea does something to you. She kindly directed me to the Whole Foods that does have a bathroom.

Stopped by this tea place in Brooklyn because we were exhausted from walking around. Inside is a very cozy vibe. Not too many tables but it was quiet. The tea was really good, I would honestly say best tea I have had. Very fresh.

A cute tea spot with awesome baristas -- the tea is high-quality and I love asking for recommendations. The Moonlight London Fog was lovely, so light and refreshing. The space is bright and airy -- bonus points because they sell lots of secondhand books and cute stationary and decor!

Right across from Buffalo Exchange, this tea bar hit the spot. A lot of options for steaped tea, as well as teas, gifts, and other products. Our cold teas were refreshing. Loved the space, greenery, and large open windows.

There are many coffee bars/cafes that cater to all things coffee while including very few tea beverage items. With Tea Bar, it's the opposite. This is a tea salon offering cold brew and hot brew teas but you will still find some coffee beverages on the menu. The assortment is wide and tea lovers will be pleased upon discovering this little gem. Located on the corner of Driggs Avenue, Tea Bar is a quaint and adorable establishment that pulled me right in. There were many tables to choose from and since it was a lovely summer-like day, the windows were exposed. There was no table service so all ordering must be done at the counter. Also at the counter were selected baked goods such as muffins and scones. There was an entire cold brew menu conveniently categorized according to black, green or herbal. All selections were already prepared in huge pitchers and sitting on the counter. Mango and apricot looked very inviting. I couldn't make up my mind since so many looked good-- but the watermelon mint hit my eye and the barista didn't hesitate to offer a sample. Unsweetened, it was refreshing and minty--more mint than watermelon as far as dominant flavor. I chose a large at $4.00 and took a seat at one of the tables. There's available Wi-Fi and the atmosphere exuded such a calmness, almost Zen-like. There was one unisex bathroom and I can imagine the weekends being extremely busy. Very clean establishment. I really enjoyed my quick pit stop here and will definitely keep it in mind when in the area.

The ambiance is lovely, owner very friendly, drinks dialed, prices fair for the quality, and is run by a Brooklyn native. Try for yourself.

Meh, not exactly terrible but oddddd service. I felt watched, which was weird. Then when I left I said goodbye to be polite and the person behind the bar just stared at me. It was just an odd experience. Also it's quite hot outside but they just had the fan on, which was disappointing.

Sorry, but this place was kind of boring for tea, especially for Chinese tea. Chinese tea drinking is supposed to be very different from a western style of tea drinking. You don't want to oversteep your expensive tea. Instead, you steep the tea for about one minute and you pour out every drop in another porcelain pitcher vessel (nothing too big). Essentially, with Chinese tea, you pour the tea into tiny 30 ml tea cups so it cools down fast and allows you to constantly drink. This place just makes me steep my tea in a large tea pot that I just have to drink as I go, making my brew of tea too strong. Usually I wouldn't complain but I've been a patron of a rather authentic tea room in Berkeley and that shop also provides me free refills for water and free wi-fi so my standards are now rather high. The waitresses or cashiers weren't impolite or anything. If anything, their service was just lacklustre. It wasn't particularly helpful or engaging, but it wasn't horrible either. In any case, I won't be returning since I've had better tea and service from other tea rooms.

Cute, quiet, a little off Bedford; so still very convenient. I like that there's a lot of alternatives to coffee. Matcha latte was on point. Service is friendly. Space is clean. Happy this is an option in Williamsburg.

TEA BAR is my tea fix ! I absolutely love this place.! The ambiance , the variety of tea , how familiar The staff is with the menu , the coziness of this establishment is just lovely ! I visited here to day everything was on point as usual . ( except the WiFi) ... ) Let me just shout out STEVEN the person behind the counter was AMAZING!!! He helped me out with my eucalyptus tea and it was spot on he even went above and beyond to let me try other teas as well .. just an great experience hands down my fav tea bar ! You should visit too ! GOT MY VOTE!

Has the following set of occurrences been expected by you all at some point? The answer is probably a yes. Walk into a darling looking coffee and or tea shop, simple but sweet baked goods menu, nice coffee and tea selections, etc. And then the server absolutely F's up the entire experience. Well, that's what happened. No personality even thoroughly engaged in talking his coffee & tea language. Spilled coffee all over the plate below, didn't clean nor replace. I opened the milk too peer inside as I thought it may have been empty, he grunted noticeably. A drop of milk landed on the counter close by him, I offered a napkin close by me -- he took it without recognition and flipped it aside. No butter for my croissant, possibly not offered, that would be inexcusable. Clearly I was sharing with my mom because I said it, didn't cut either croissant nor offer nor give me a serrated knife so I could cut it the ham & cheese croissant which was very average, I tore them by hand. Some scraps of paper didn't pick them up. No hello no goodbye.

I would rate tea bar four and a half stars. This shop has one of the most extensive selections of tea that I have encountered. I would definitely recommend the lavender earl grey. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The seating is a little tight.

Cute and quite little place. A little frustrated that most tea places I go to don't dial in their tea- including this place. Tea is like coffee. It should have varying brew temperatures and times. Your average joe doesn't know when to take their jasmine tea bag out of the water (that's too hot by the way). Leaving it dry and without tasting notes. Please dial in your tea and it will taste 10x better . All tea shops should do this research and due diligence I would like to come in and brew two teas- one the way they do, and one with a specific temperature and timer. Minds will be blown.

Ok so I recently found this tea/coffee shop as I was looking around the area to hang out and work in. Over all, I loved the ambiance and the barista but DAMN was the wifi slow(first world problem). This was the only reason I took a star out. I WANT to keep coming to this place and make it my go to place and invite friends over if ever they are around. The prices of coffee and tea are pretty okay- not too expensive. But as much as I hate whining about it- the WiFi sucks... 2g? Yikes

I went with the Chai Misto (green chai) when I visited this spot. It was very week tasting. My friend ordered a Matcha Latte and had the same response. The space itself seems calming and nice, but we unfortunately just grabbed our tea and left.

Its a laid back coffee shop and sleepy staff. My friend and I went to the cafe in the last hour of closing. She had chocolate drink and i had cappuccino. Seats are clean and i can choose to sit anywhere. I think during the day is a nice idea to bring lab top and have a work done in this cafe.

I hosted my sisters bridal shower in Brooklyn this weekend, and one of the planned activities was a thrift store crawl in the area. After walking and shopping on that 90 degree day, everyone was looking for some drinks to cool off with. To our great pleasure, we stumbled upon the Tea Bar! The shop owner was so friendly and welcoming of our large group. She recommended teas and lemonade blends based on everyone's individual preference, and she didn't mind when we cooled off and took some group pictures in her peaceful and aesthetic shop. My passion fruit lemonade was delicious. Would definitely recommend, and I can't wait to be back!

I was pleasantly surprised by this place! They had a nice looking espresso machine from Italy off to the side but on a hot summer day?? I ain't feeling coffee (Who am I kidding, I ALWAYS want coffee) I want a nice, cool, refreshing tea. When you walk inside the Tea Bar, its like a mad scientist lab with assorted jugs and ready made to pour teas. I zoom in on the "Blood Red Tea" and I ordered it iced. The drinks aren't sugared but they have plenty of simple sugar to pour into your drink to make it sweet. I also grabbed a few vegan looking cookies. Bang zoom, homemade fresh and outta this world! I had a pistachio white sugar dusted cookie. You can tell someone made this with love. This neighborhood is very fun and eclectic. There was a young woman, drinking tea and working on her Mac, this was probably her go to spot. For me?Just another chill spot in my Brooklyn

I've been here several times, as my boyfriend lived in the area a couple years back. Now, we're both back in the area and came back to Tea Bar. It's just as cute, trendy, and high quality as it was 2 years ago. They have several iced teas brewed, if you want a hot tea, they'll give you your own pot and you can sit and sip as long as you please. I don't know why everyone's trashing the service - I've never had an unpleasant experience. I'm always greeted when I walk in, they're willing to help you find a tea you'd like, and they're perfectly friendly and hospitable. Maybe these other reviewers are just coming in with a bad attitude and need to have the figurative stick removed from their booty.

That little colored timer thing is the coolest little adornment I've ever seen. Walking in it's the first thing you notice. After ordering a large pot of jasmine green tea, the gentleman explained that we should steep for 2-3 minutes & there are timers on the tables. Oh! That's what those are for. So sitting down with my friend to help her with taxes, I let the tea steep. I went with a slightly longer time as I like a darker stronger flavor. Yeah and more caffeine too. As if it's not de rigueur at this point, they also have wifi available. Perfect!

I stopped here for the first time to do a bit of work on my laptop. I wanted to find a cute cafe with something good to drink and good wifi, and I believe I've found one of those places. It's a quaint cafe with seating for about 12 at a high-top table and maybe 5 or so 2-seater tables. Grabbing a table (especially by the window) seems like it takes a mix of luck and good timing, but there were plenty of open seats at the high-top for me and a friend. The music is current, just loud enough to create the right cafe-volume but not loud enough that I couldn't talk to my friend or hear myself think. The baristas were pleasant and helped my friend figure out what to order; I went for an iced matcha (not called green tea here, something I assume indicated it would taste more authentic) latte, carrying over my usual Starbucks order, except I passed on the sweetener this time so I could actually taste the tea. Milk options included whole, skim, half and half, soy, and almond milk, and I went for half and half since I skipped on the sugar. I must say, I really did like the drink - though I do wish I'd gotten sugar (what can I say, I like sweets), the tea taste was perfect, and I felt like I was drinking what matcha lattes should taste like. Will definitely be back for my tea fix.

Their tea menu here is huge!! It also specifies the amount of caffeine in each tea, which I appreciate. I got a small teapot (approx 3-4 cups) of the White Peach tea for $3.50, and I really loved it! I will say, there's nothing EXTRAORDINARY about this place, but I appreciate the cozy atmosphere, cute teapot / cups, and relaxing music. Also, the woman who served my tea was so sweet (5 stars for her)! This is a great place to do some light reading / work or catch up with a friend! They even have magazines and newspapers for you to read...

Not a bad place, not a bad place at all. We came up to Brooklyn a few weeks back to check out Brooklyn Brewery and were looking for a respite from the beer drinking that we had been engaging in all day. I ordered an iced coconut tea which was ice cold when I got it, which I love. The girl behind the counter couldn't have been nicer. It was also great to sit inside but still gaze through the open windows and feel the cool breeze hit us. My only complaint is that it was kind of small in here. We had barely got up when a girl slung her jacket on my chair, but then again a minor complaint for an otherwise cool place to get a great cup of tea.

Stopped in just because I was curious and so glad I did! Theres a wide range of choices for any type of tea or coffee you might enjoy. The different teas (all I tried) taste very fresh. The baked goods seem very yummy. Love the decor and decent prices. The staff seems very easy to talk to and even enjoy an actual conversation, they're extremely helpful with making a choice on what to pick!!

This was my first time visiting. I came by today after an apartment viewing. I really like the name - it's what drew me in. Overall, good experience. The cashier was very helpful & welcoming. I had the Cocomint Green tea and it was SO GOOD! I'll be back for more - do they sell loose leaf tea? If so, I want more of that one for my home brew. It says it's moderate in caffeine but I think it's more on high list, with low caffeine in that range. lol. I was buzzing around once it kicked in! ^_^ :) Anyway, give it a try when you visit. Next time I'll have my tea to stay & enjoy the cute setup I've seen in the pics. Thanks for a great visit! Ciao!

Walked in to get drinks since it was near the bus stop. Scorching hot day we got large ice coffee and a small matcha latte. The ice coffee did not taste like ice coffee. Color looked like iced tea and it tasted like diluted half coffee half tea.. Disgusting. How do you mess up on regular coffee? Maybe because we did walk into a Tea Bar hah. Matcha latte was ok, I've had better. Windows / doors were open, no A/C.

Staff made up of sweethearts, pretty good coffee and a nice relaxing atmosphere. I really liked the little hourglasses on the table! Had a lot of fun just from flipping them over. Try the little cakes- delicious

So many tea options! I am a self-proclaimed Earl Grey aficionado and am so impressed with their 4 options, including an earl grey green (which is so much softer than typical blends). If you love a tea, they will sell you a few ounces to take home. The prices are great and the folks behind the register are always so helpful (& patient) as I hem and haw on what tea to choose. TIP: Grab the menu at the register and step aside to read all of the descriptions and make your choice. Also if you tell the staff what you like, they'll make a recommendation for you. They've never led me wrong. Pastries look delicious and there is ample seating.

I love those cafes with actual seating and this is one of them. The woman working there was patient and I was quite fond of the branches on the walls. There are various tea flavors and espesso drinks to choose from, that's why it's called Tea Bar, duh! The iced teas, Watermelon & Lemon grass, could have had more flavor. But the iced Matcha was good, even better than Matcha Bar. Don't know if I would come back here though, maybe if I'm in the area.

Tea bar is an awesome alternative over the popular and forever crowded starbucks. Likes - - Lots of healthy, gluten free, vegan baked good! - Insane amount of different types of teas. You name it, they probably will have it. Available in glass or a tea pot. - Fast wifi (because honestly that's all we care about) - Friendly service - clean bathroom! Bathroom key is on the end of the counter - Good amount of seating with small and big tables. - Big glass windows in café, which means natural light! - Great place to read, study, or do work Dislikes - - Matcha latte w/ almond milk - too powdery in taste and a slightly bitter. I added the provided simple syrup on the side counter - The smaller tables by the window are where the outlets are, and they get taken fast

Today the tea was great as usual BUT the bathroom was out of service; the heater was not working and the WiFi was super slow

I really like this place. I definitely enjoy tea and I went here on a Saturday. The tea selection is very good. The place wasn't too packed. There are a few small tables to sit at and one larger communal table. The barista who served me was very pleasant and accommodating. He told me where the outlets were for plugging in my phone charger and patiently explained the differences between a few green teas that I inquired about. The tea was delicious. I got the green jasmine tea & I loved it. Tea prices are reasonable. The vibe is good. The place has a nice layout, with some small tables right by the window. The music wasn't too loud and it was generally a chill atmosphere. The wifi speed was ok, definitely fine for casual browsing on the internet. I have no complaints about this place. Highly recommend!

Extensive menu and nice snacks. Unfortunately the service is terrible. I waited 20 minutes for the pot of tea I ordered and there was no line or busy at all. I had to go up and remind him and he just said "oh" but didn't bother to apologize. The cup and saucer were a wreck. The cup had lipstick on it and the saucer had a huge chunk of glass missing with a sharp edge. When I asked for a new cup, the kid behind the counter looked at me as if I was being obnoxious. I let him know there was lipstick on it from someone else and asked for a new cup. He took the cup and then stared at me blankly before saying "oh, you want a new cup?"...no dude I'm gonna drink my tea straight from the spout of the teapot

Refreshing iced chai lattes. The one thing I would say is that they should stop selling the vegan cheddar biscuit (I tried it but it was so dry and hard to swallow since there was no butter).

First time walking around this Brooklyn area and what better way to wake up with some tea. Customer service was great and they have free wifi. I got to catch up on so homework and read a little of my new book. The black tea was amazing and I would definitely recommend this place to any tea lover.

I had this place on my list for a while and finally went there to do some work over the weekend. Maybe because I have a certain expectation for a tea stores, this place was a disappointment for me. First, the atmosphere wasn't that good. I expect a tea store/bar to be more in the chilling, relaxing side and this one was not. As it's located in the hip area, there are a lot of people walking by, which isn't a problem, but they had all the windows open and the music was super loud. What bothers me the most is actually their WiFi. I came to do some work and as most of it were online, I needed to use their WiFi but oh my goodness, I have never ever gone to a coffee shop with WiFi as slow as theirs! It took me a while to load one page! I had to move to another coffee shop because of the WiFi. However, their tea was pretty good and their cake was out of the world! They had quite a selection for cold tea and is affordable. I ordered a small lavender earl grey and a vegan raspberry lemon cake, and it came out around $7 (I think it could've been cheaper if I didn't buy a vegan cake). I will give this place another try - for when I don't have any work to do - cause their tea and cake were absolutely delicious.

I loved my cup of green rooibos! The almond early grey was only sniffed, but it had a superb scent. The storefront was spacious and delightfully decorated. Glad I stopped by.

Tea Bar is a beautiful, sunbathed cafe with an obvious emphasis on tea (though they do serve Gimme! coffee). As a tea lover and a free Wi-Fi lover, I find myself here quite often. There's one main table for laptops and smaller side tables for conversation and...more laptops. Lots of people work here, so space can be limited. There are outlets and a bathroom (you need a key). The tea menu is awesome. Such a huge selection to choose from! My favorite to-date is the almond oolong. I usually get a small pot of tea and one of their healthy cookies, which I believe has quinoa in it but is still damn tasty. Some baristas are friendlier than others, but I've never had an issue. Great addition to Williamsburg!

Some people have crazy aunts. Some have crazy friends who prefer coffee over tea. I am the latter. I don't have coffee at my house. I have tea. I ice it myself. I combine and infuse flavors. I have teas from across the country and a portable container JUST for tea. I'm a loser. Needless to say I've been whining about wanting a real tea place since, let's face it, Roebling *mumble mumble* doesn't deserve to be called "Roebling Tea Room." Now that it's here I just don't know what to do with myself. It's too cute and too pretty and only 4 blocks away! I'm afraid my at-home teas are going to get jealous.

It's crazy how a bad customer service experience can totally undo anything great about a local establishment. It really is a bummer, becuase this is a great place to come read and/or study. Plenty of outlets, nice decor, and comfy seats! But oh, man, that rude barista chick, yeah, she gotta go. Her total lack of fuck-giving was just unbearable. So, I walk inside Tea Bar, bag in tow, cold from the freezing weather, and looking forward to sitting down and having a nice cup of black and pretentious banana quinoa muffin. But the shit flowing out of her mouth ended up sprinkling little fart dust all over the coffee and muffin I had yet even ordered. So I make my order, and without asking, only assuming, she pours the coffee into a to-go cup. Not a problem, so I simply ask if she can pour it into one of the mugs. It's a winter's day, after all, and I was looking forward to getting cozy with some piping hot coffee and a good ol' classic Harry Potter novel. But what does she say? With a smug face and patronizing tone, "You know it's basically the same thing, right?" It's not the same thing. And ya can't tell me it is, because they are literally two different things. One's paper, and the other's ceramic. Anyway, she rolls her eyes and pours the contents into a ceramic mug, bracing for what I can only imagine was the most painful, difficult part of her day. At this point, the muffin was already tossed into a to-go back. And you know how most places will wrap the pastry into tissue paper for you? Not here. She tossed that muffin into the bag without a care seen anywhere. Now, the muffin thing isn't a big deal, but just speaks to the overall sloppiness and little care given to the customer. And it's very base-level stuff here. I'm not asking for four-star customer service, just a little respect and common courtesy. She did, however, ask, rather condescendingly, if I want the muffin on a plate. At this point, I felt like I was just an inconvenience so I took the muffin as it was. As for the actual items I ordered? That banana muffin is fucking amazing. Would buy again. Didn't even taste the quinoa, but I was only there for the banana, which it delivered. Coffee was good, but nothing spectacular. Again, it's such a shame that the service here is so lousy. The dude that's served me before was nice, but I did get a similar vibe from him as well. Perhaps management is the problem here. Otherwise, I like Tea Bar and hope it improves in that aspect.

Came here to get some weekend work done. Night light fixtures, lots of seating for a relatively small space, and attentive staff. Downside- WiFi was pretty weak. I had to leave and go somewhere else to complete my work. Coffee was good.

I've been going to this place for about six weeks. Since then, have fallen into a bizarre love triangle with their ginseng green and earl grey green teas. If you have the stamina, they refill the pot once for free, which is great if you try to do five cups or more of green per day (I do). Communal Pain Quotidien-esque table, food selections both healthy and quiche, croissants are buttery and most items locally made. Staff ranges from polite to polite/hip (not a bad thing), owner is great and grew up in the neighborhood. Good place to throw down a laptop, meet a friend or do a grab n go on the way to McCarren Park. Receipts available to email for all you 1099ers as well. Run, or at least walk briskly.

Chill, calm atmosphere that is conveniently located and great for working, taking cover from hot/cold/rainy weather, or just catching up with an old time friend. Solid tea selection too.

It's a nice little spot. Airy. Good seating. I love the pastries. But the service is glacially slow. Today I went in for a quick snack. There was one employee only which was fine. I was one of four or five customers. Instead of checking to see if I needed something quick versus a fancy tea or espresso-based drink, she just focused on pulling the slowest espresso shot in the universe. Ugh. The thing that is annoying is that they make it clear that they're not trying to pick up the pace or be efficient.

I am really pleased that there is a tea-focused spot in coffee-heavy Williamsburg. Tea Bar is much more pleasant than it appears on the outside. It's actually quite bright and a comfortable space. I really like sitting at the big table where you can use laptops; the chairs are quite comfy. I've been there when there is really nice calm music. A small pot of tea is $3.50 I believe. This is a good price for the neighborhood as it gives you a few little cups of tea and keeps you satisfied. I am an herbal tea drinking and so far enjoy the Foxtrot and Chacha. They also have lots of little packaged snacks you can buy. As a vegan, I appreciate that you can also buy Ovenly salted chocolate chip cookies.

Im a regular and usually the service is great. Because Im a regular I thought I could grab some sugar even though I hadn't bought anything that day. Just one pack of sugar is all I wanted and instead I got a big fat no and a "well why didn't you buy anything today?" from the staff. Ok, cool I guess "give me some suga, I am your neighbor" doesn't always work, thanks for nothing Outkast and Tea Bar
