Great stay overall — location is perfect (5/5) and staff are very friendly. The rooms have a nice theatre vibe and a super comfy bed. However, the bathroom could use some maintenance — counter surface peeling, foot-pedal bin not working (unhygienic), and occasional food smell from nearby restaurants. The AC also wasn’t cooling properly, but otherwise a pleasant and well-located stay.

Arrived and wanted to have shower. First thing, bedroom door handle fell off and has clearly been off for a long time. Into shower and no hot water. Gave up, dressed and complained at reception, and the problem to be fair was sorted, the water heater in a cupboard only accessible by hotel staff had been turned off. Hotel a bit tired but reasonably ok had it not been the fact we were charged for using 4 coffee pods. I have travelled for many years and this is the first time ever I have been charged for coffee pods in the room. A disgrace given the price of the room. This point alone had wiped off 2 stars.

We spent four days at this sad little hotel. I will say the location was excellent, and the people working were pleasant.||||Advertised a B & B but did not have food. Only given two coffee pods for our four days. Broken hair dry attached to wall with melted buttons. Hotel ran out of clean towels on or 3rd day. Room a little dirty. Not a good experience.

first off: the location of the hotel itself is amazing! it has a bunch of nice cafes and restaurants around it. however, the hotel isn't well maintained. The bathroom sink kept floosing because of the clogged pipes; toilet didnt really flush well. furthermore there was an incredible stench in the room we couldn't get out no matter how much we kept the windows open. the bathroom and shower are seperated but have glass "walls" so whomever you're sharing your room with, will see you doing your business in there. The bedding had various stains on it and we didnt get any fresh towels during our 4 day stay. no shampoo or other toiletries are offered besides soap. the nights are incredibly loud from the street and the hotel itself so if you're looking for restful nights, i can't recommend this hotel. The wifi didnt work at all even though the property advertised with highspeed wifi.

Worst experience I ever had in a hotel. No privacy, no curtains, no sleep. In short: When I arrived the room seemed nice. But it was very bright and had no curtains. The room has mirrors on the walls. Sun rises close to 6. Other hotel/rooms can look into your fully mirrored curtainless room. The reception was supposed to open 6 but did not pick up the phone. When I walked to the reception (06:40) there was no one. At 7 there was a receptionist, she told me the curtains where arriving today and that they were fully booked and no one else had complained. I luckily just stayed here for one night. Never coming back and absolutely do not recommend. I could have named some things that I did like, but the minimal base of what an hotel should give (a place to sleep) was missing.

Horrible experience. I booked the suite and had the worst stay ever. Dirty carpets, dirty bed sheets, broken curtain rods, broken lamp shades, extremely low water pressure in the shower and no hot water. The staff is not helpful in the slightest. Do not recommend!! Save yourself the trouble and book yourself a room somewhere else!

So disappointed in this hotel. Finding it was the first challenge as there was no name on the doors from the street. The receptionist’s “welcome” was indifferent and he failed to inform us that this supposed B&B did not actually provide breakfast until I asked where we would find it, whereupon he laconically stated that “it was on the website” and he “thought we knew”! Given that we had received an email prior to our arrival telling us our payment had been successful it seems extraordinary that the manager did not take that opportunity to inform us personally beforehand of the lack of breakfast facilities, thus giving us the chance to book elsewhere - but then again, that was probably precisely the intention! When we arrived at our suite the bedroom door handle came off in my hand as I opened it and, despite reporting it that first day and several times after, nothing was done about it. The safe instructions were completely incorrect and the door kept jamming. The smoke alarm was hanging off the ceiling, there were not enough coffee pods provided for the length of our stay and no more were provided despite our request, and, being an obscure make, it proved impossible for us to buy more. The towels were old and one was holed. There was no handsoap by the washbasin and the usual amenities provided by a hotel of this supposed calibre consisted of only cotton wool, a shower cap and a shoeshine sponge. We had to go out and buy our own handsoap! The shaving mirror was absent and the replacement 2 sided freestanding mirror was missing one of its sides! Reports to the receptionists resulted in only the broken mirror being replaced, mumbled apologies and a pulled face when we said this was most certainly not what we expect from a supposed 4 star establishment. It was a huge let down after we had booked this place for a special birthday. The overall impression was of a hotel that was being allowed to run down and run itself and with no interest in guests’ comfort. There are plenty of other better places to stay in Lisbon so avoid this one.

If you are looking for a place to stay in the heart of one of the nicest areas of Lisboa, look no further. This place is a gem. Nice rooms, authentic style. Very good restaurants, nice shops, all in walking distance. Very much recommended.

I'd recommend this B&B to anyone staying in Lisbon. It's a small boutique style hotel located in the Chiado area. Close to the metro, as well as the main tourist areas of the city, such a Barrio Alto and other major sights. The hotel itself had a very friendly staff, who were more than happy to help out with any questions we had (and we def had a few with it being our first time in Lisbon). They also spoke English, which was helpful for us. The room was a good size and was incredibly clean and well decorated. The room and the hotel had a funky "theatrical" type of them, apparently inspired by a nearby hotel which we enjoyed. The beds were also very comfortable, which is nice to have after a long day of exploring the city.

It is not B&B any more as they lost the breakfast lease. The experience depends on who is working the front desk. One employee asked for Covid test when it was no longer required in Portugal and other employees were super friendly and helpful.

Wonderful location. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The rooms were surprisingly roomy. The breakfast is good, but heavy on the breads, so get the eggs. We'd definitely stay here again!
