Teatro Juárez

The building is very beautiful inside. Guabajuato has done amazing in conserving this theater. Id like to say yhay I've been to the theater/ opera house in Venna, Austria and Teatro Jyarez gives it a for it's money. The cost to get in is about $6.00 USD. We were there at about 15 minutes till closing time and not once. Did we feel pressure to get out? Because they were about to close. The staff members were very nice, courteous and helpful.

Center of town. Classical architecture exterior and Moorish interior. Get tickets day prior to performance in alley on side of building leading to funicular. Cash only. Long wait for tickets and to enter theatre.

Gorgeous building. There are often musical performances on the weekends. Schedules are hidden away in the cultural section of the university of guanajuato website. There is a ticket counter on the left side of the building but I never saw if open. They seem to sell tickets starting a couple of hours before events right at the theater steps.

Love sitting in the concert hall & admiring the ornate interior of this magnificent theater. University of Guanajuato Symphony Orchestra is always great.

You simply can't ignore it! This is the main attraction in town! Beautiful historical and inspiring. Insure to get in side and to enjoy edgeless grandiose.

Its a wonderful place. It's so beautiful. It has high halls. It's very clean. You can see good cultural events.

The theater is beautiful and performances were awesome, but there is not air conditioning inside the theater. Even though Guanajuato weather was in the 50s, the theater inside was too warm in mezzanine area. Leg room was pretty bad too if you are at least 5’ 9”. If you are taller than that, maybe stick to ground floor where it looked like one has more leg room. We left at intermission because the leg room was uncomfortable in mezzanine seats. We were on section P1-06, seats P6-3 and P6-4.

Beautiful theater, Arab, neoclassical and mariscos style build from 1873 to the imagination date in 1903!!! Spectacular! A place that you MUST visit!! Loved it!!

We did a tour of Teatro Juarez which is located in downtown Guanajato, easy to find. A short and sweet one, not a lot of talking, more like self tour whichI prefer. Beautiful, intimate theater dating 1903, historic, a jewel of the city! The statues outside are beautiful and the actual concert hall inside is nice and elegant. I would love to see an opera here or any show for that matter. The chandelier is a work of art and so is the ceiling. If you visit the area, Teatro Juarez should get on your list!

This theater is beautiful! We did not get a chance to tour inside but just looking from the outside, it is gorgeous. This is the landmark for Guanajuato! We came during the 50th International Festival Cervantino (October), and there were tons of Callejoneadas groups outside of the theater! It was such a festive and fun time go visit Guanajuato! We booked one of the Callejoneadas group and met up in front of the theater. It was such a great and fun experience! I would definitely go back and do a tour inside next time. This town is so beautiful and so charming and I would love to come back and spend more time here!

Gorgeous, gorgeous and gorgeous! This theater was made for kings and queens. The high ceilings, chandelier, wall carvings and seating are straight out of a fairytale. The group that performed was impeccable! Magos Herrera and Brooklyn Riders: Dreamers were pleasantly greeted by all and their performance allowed you to appreciate their talent and beautiful lyrics.
