With sunshine and blue skies in November the theatre looked even more impressive. There were only a handful of visitors so I could take in the atmosphere in peace.
Like so many urban Roman theatres this one was overbuilt in modern times and thus preserved but not implemented in the modern houses (compared to the theatre in Catania/Sicily, e.g.).
A few more explanations in the theatre itself would have been nice but altogether it was a great experience, especially when considering that the entrance is free.
