A wonderful, but hot, afternoon exploring these ruins and museum. Definitely recommend. Plus, get you a spritz at the bar on site.

Absolutely loved catching the public bus up to Friesole. This place was so beautifully gardened, the ruins are really cared for and there are chairs if you want to sit and take in the moments. It was such a peaceful day to walk around. I did see people with a picnic. Staff were super friendly and helped me despite me speaking rubbish Italian. There is also a cafe on-site. Close to the museum on a road near the town square is a gorgeous view of the whole of florence. Perfect day. I would suggest getting up there earlier especially on weekends as the number of increased at lunchtime.

Pretty interesting, but very much a reading museum. The ruins are dispersed and cool to walk around but it’s not very exciting. Spent about an hour between the museum and the grounds and felt I had seen enough. The views from the town are beautiful though.

The staff were lovely, the archaeological dig was exceptionally interesting. Set in a glorious situation with fabulous views. The area was quiet and set in a peaceful area. The museum was even more interesting. The adjoining cafe served very good food and wine with comfortable seating, set in beautiful gardens. This place is well worth a visit 😁

I came on the perfect day! Someone was practicing for their concert later on that night. The views are great and it's so peaceful out here. Sadly, I didn't get to explore the museums, but the walk around the property was beautiful! I got to sit down and enjoy some music before closing time. ❤️🎶

A worthwhile experience as part of a visit to Fiesole. It is remarkable that this Roman amphitheater is still present after so many centuries. Modern Fiesole is a small hilltop town, and yet in the history of occupation here, this amphitheater was built and the nearby baths. The view from the amphitheater out over the surrounding hills is beautiful. Sitting in the amphitheater, you can imagine the seats being occupied by Roman spectators 2000 years ago.
