Tech Dome Penang is a commendable non-profit organisation that plays an important role in promoting science, technology, and innovation to the public, especially children. One of its standout achievements is the revival and meaningful use of the iconic geodesic dome in KOMTAR, transforming it into a purposeful and educational space rather than letting it fade into obscurity. The centre offers a very good learning experience for kids, with hands-on exhibits that encourage curiosity, problem-solving, and exploration. Many of the games and devices are fun, interactive, and engaging, making learning feel playful rather than forced. That said, a noticeable drawback is that several exhibits were not working, which slightly diminished the overall experience and broke the flow of exploration. What truly elevates Tech Dome is its people. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic, always ready to explain concepts, assist children, and share their passion for science and technology. Their positive attitude makes a significant difference, especially for younger visitors. Overall, Tech Dome Penang is a valuable educational attraction with strong potential. With better maintenance of exhibits, it could be an even more impactful and memorable destination for families and young learners. I will not hesitate to visit again and support the cause of the Penang Tech Dome for the benefit it brings to Penang. A special mention to Mr Peru and Mr Steven for making the visit a memorable one.

Barely fun or interactive with many non-functioning showcase. Meanwhile it's partly just advertisement space for companies. Drone "show" with 5 drones.... Pricing is x5 more expensive than PSN & ~same price as Petrosains but many times less value. Just a waste of time and money.

I went on 24th Dec, for me overall is nice, it’s like mini Petrosains for me, but very convenient, not so crowded. The staffs that handle the astronaut suit are very good and nice (the malay girl and indian boy). Repeat again ? Of course I’ll (From Johorean)

It’s in Komtar. Good intentions but need a face lift and maintenance. Many exhibits were out of order. Need to pay extra for some games such as G-force. No charge for OKU individuals. Very kind of them.

One of the best educational experiences on the island. While there was no wait to get inside, tickets are definitely a good purchase. The main exhibitions themselves were fun and interactive. I probably spent more time on the motion detection sensored skeleton display than I'd admit. Lots of theories and ideas were explained really well and quite informative. Kudos to the tour guide for making the experience even better

A two days ago, I visit tech dome with my family from India. It's really amazing place cause I learn about science. More over there lot of interactive exhibit it's really fun. Example drone, vr and wall climb. My family enjoy a lot. Maybe if can in future please update some exhibit cause some of exhibit is under maintaince. Coming to staff they are really friendly. There's one indian girl teach my daughter and she explain some of exhibit over there. Even she brings around tech dome and explain about it. It's make us understand about tech dome. Overall it's nice and fun. Even while u playing u can learn something about science.

A very extensive collection of attractions where it would be very easy to spend a half day. Lots of interactive exhibits, some of which are very interesting and surprising. The best fun was a 3D game where you use lasers to hit red and blue boxes. There was a demo room where you think you are in an aquarium. It is very educational and both Children and Adults should be entertained by what is on offer.
