Teddy's "Not-So-Big" Burger: A Pricey, Cold Disappointment
Teddy's Bigger Burgers promises a premium burger experience, but for $10.99, the reality was far from impressive. The 5-ounce patty is technically bigger than a quarter-pounder, but not by much--certainly not enough to justify the name or the price. Worse, the burger arrived cold and dry, making the experience even more underwhelming. When you're paying a premium, you expect at least a fresh, hot meal, but this felt like something that had been sitting around before making its way to my table.
Then there were the onion rings--$7.95 for seven rings. At $1.14 per piece, they had better be exceptional, and while they had decent flavor, they weren't exactly mind-blowing. For nearly $20 total (no drink included), I expected a satisfying meal, but instead, I was left questioning why I hadn't just gone somewhere else. The wait time was excessive, adding insult to injury when the food finally arrived cold.
For comparison, Golden Arches gave me a full meal- double cheeseburger, fries, nuggets, and a drink--for just $6, plus tax, and somehow, it managed to be a better deal in both value and overall enjoyment. Teddy's may have "bigger" in the name, but when it comes to quality, price, and satisfaction, it falls flat. If I'm going to drop $20 on a burger and rings, it had better be something special. This wasn't.
