This was my third visit to Ted’s while visiting from out of town—and unfortunately, it will be my last. While my first experience was great, each visit since has gone downhill, and this most recent one was incredibly disappointing. We waited 30 minutes just to get drinks from the bar. Our server seemed overwhelmed, and it was clear the restaurant was struggling to keep up. Our kids were starving, and it took an hour and a half for our food to arrive. When it finally came, I ordered the ribeye, which was completely flavorless—definitely not what I expect from a place known for steaks. At the end of the meal, I brought up our concerns to the server. She apologized and offered 10% off the bill. We were charged, signed, and ready to leave after a 2.5-hour dinner. However, we noticed the discount hadn’t been applied, so we stayed behind while the bill was corrected and reprinted. Days later, we noticed an unauthorized charge on our account—for the full amount of the bill. We’ve called the restaurant multiple times to speak with a manager, and no one has returned our calls. As someone with 15 years in the restaurant industry, I find it unacceptable that no one from management addressed our concerns at the table or has followed up since. We’ll be disputing the charge with our credit card company. It’s unfortunate, because Ted’s used to be a great spot, but the service and accountability have gone severely downhill. If you’re looking for a good steak and a smooth dining experience, I’d recommend going elsewhere.

Very nice restaurant, plates are very pleasing to the eye. Our waitresses were fantastic, upbeat, courteous and attentive to service! Shout out to Kirsten for helping when we were her first table on her first official shift. I try to make my reviews with an open mind as to what a restaurant is trying to accomplish with their dish, and I'm always trying to do something new, but unfortunately here I have a few critiques. We ordered: Buffalo nachos appetizer, chips and onion dip (app), romane and iceberg salad, grilled chicken potatoes and vegetable side. We also ordered Buffalo brisket with potatoes, and vegetable side. The nachos came out with minimal toppings, and I mean 80%+ naked chips. We asked for an up on the toppings and while a marginal amount were added, it appeared a lot of their bison sauce was poured over the chips creating a very soggy nacho experience. The grilled chicken was flavorful with a grilled flavor, but no spices are added so the chicken comes out flat. The bison brisket is actually just a slow roasted (crock pot) shredded bison meat, and while the sauce was delicious I did not appreciate the meat as much. Bison being a lean meat, even drown in sauce comes across very dry. I was excited to try a bison brisket and this is as much a bait and switch as claiming a Hamburger sandwich is ground beef over a flat of white bread with a salad on top. Now enough with the negative, I really want to speak on what we liked most. The salad was delicious firm and fresh. The chips and onion dip was gone within 2 minutes. Everyone at the table loved the fresh baked chips and the flavor of the dip is fantastic without having too strong of an onion flavor. Great balance between salty and savory. The atmosphere feels quality and yet still small town. You certainly feel attended to by their staff and you can tell that Ted's Montana grill is trying to tackle a difficult market, Fresh, local and distinct. This presents a slough of navigations that most wouldn't dare try. Looking around at some of the other dishes, I would certainly like to try the salmon, Bison steak and crab cakes. While my experience may not fit the norm, I would recommend avoiding the "brisket" if you know what proper brisket is and avoid the nachos. *also note the chocolate/ice cream/fudge stand in the entry has delicious treats. It is quite expensive, but i would highly recommend them if you are able. The flavors are phenomenal and of very good quality. I was blown away.

Google
Bison burger was very tender but portions were very disappointing. Please see photo for burger and fries ($23). Very expensive for not a lot of food. Drink service was incredibly slow; the bartenders seemed very overwhelmed. Make sure to eat a ton of the picked, they are incredible!

Google
Ted’s was okay, but I wouldn’t come back. The atmosphere is awesome, very classically western. Cocktails were great. But the food was disappointing. Plating is poor, and flavors were dull. My bison burger was moist but lacked flavor, impressive considering it had 5 toppings. Fries were well cooked but unseasoned and unsalted. Garlic mashed potatoes are good, but Parmesan broccoli is just broccoli with cheese sprinkled on top. Solid place for comfort food and a good vibe—but the food was disappointing.

Dinner for one tonight. I didn't want to stay in, so I drove over to Ted's. I couldn't have asked for a better steak. It was lean, well cooked, and juicy. It definitely hit the spot. Ted's was such a relaxed atmosphere that I truly enjoyed just sitting there and enjoying my steak.

Google
Excellent service and food. We had the Bison filet, baked potato and asparagus and all were cooked to perfection. There are several seating area options, and we chose the back patio. We wish we'd chosen the bar seating. Nothing wrong with the back patio just wasn't our preference.

Google
Don’t get DoorDash from them. At least not the bison nachos. $30 for some sad soggy BS. Worst I’ve had in town. Had to get some good nachos the next day to make up for it. See my review for The Club. Same price….

Google
Ted’s Montana Grill was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with a classic Western touch. The service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The food was incredible, especially the bison options which were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Every detail felt thoughtful, from the fresh ingredients to the relaxed but polished vibe. Definitely a place I’d recommend and can’t wait to return to!

Yelp
Everything was so delicious and cooked to order. I got the Bison steak,, oh my God! Heaven on earth!! Our server was a professional. The menu and the portions are huge. The vibe was relaxing and felt so comfortable that we didn't want to leave. Please give it a try, casual dress or business casual is not a problem.

Yelp

Yelp
My husband and I went to Ted's and sat at the bar this past Monday night around 7:45 Ordered a couple martinis and a burger to split with a salad The food was pretty good but the service was horrible. The bartender I feel was a little inexperienced and was more interested in taking shots with his friends at the bar. We ordered our food before the other patrons at the bar but his friends/co worker who were sitting at the bar got their food WAY before us. He did say our burger will be out soon...while our first drinks remained empty without him actually coming over again. We got our burger and gave up on any more service. So we sat there trying to close out while him and another bartender/ maybe even a female manager made more complimentary shots for friends and some other people at the bar while we waited for someone to pay attention and close us out. Finally after seeing how frustrated we were getting he came over and I just gave him my card without even reviewing the bill because I was afraid it would be another 25 minutes before someone came over. I suggest for a nice establishment like this, Maybe hire employees who actually want to work

Yelp
I have been receiving email ads for their new Smash Burger. It looks incredible. I have had Smash Burgers before and agree they are more juicy and tasty. Both my wife and I ordered it along with onion rings and fries. There are no words that can describe how terrible they were. First of all the food was cold. The meat was overcooked and the sides were simply bad. We were so disappointed. We expected a much more tasty meal. Shame on Ted's. It will be sometime before we ever go back.

Yelp
Ate lunch there today on a very busy Back to School week for MSU. Service was slower than it should be but employees were hustling the entire time. Food was fantastic! We will be back.

Yelp
We were a group of five dining at Ted's Montana Grill and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. It took over an hour for our food to arrive, which would be understandable if the restaurant was packed -- but it wasn't. There were maybe five or six tables occupied in total. It was clear the staff was overwhelmed or understaffed. We saw new customers come in and stand around waiting, with no one greeting them for several minutes. Eventually, a server came out and explained she had been helping in the kitchen. That honestly made me wonder -- was my steak cooked by a chef, or by one of the servers? I ordered my steak medium rare, but what I got was at least medium, if not more. For a place that positions itself as a steakhouse, that kind of mistake is disappointing. All in all, the restaurant wasn't busy, yet service and execution were far below expectations. Sadly, we won't be coming back any more.

Yelp
Meh Nothing special. Steak was overcooked but still tasted good. Great staff and servers.

Yelp
We are Montanans. Used to really like this place & want to bring guests to Teds... love their margaritas as they are fresh squeezed. HOWEVER.....the food has gone downhill drastically. We have tried to give them a handful of chances, but am sad to say that the food is cold EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! No flavor...mashed potatoes are old and cold, gravy has absolutely no flavor and is thick and cold. Bison Chili always cold. Waitress? Great. She was even disappointed with the reviews she gets. Manager was asked to talk to us by her; twice!.....he discounted our bill but never had the "juevos" to come talk to us! And we were being respectful and wanted to try to up their game. Guess its a NO GO for this family and guests to come back

Yelp
Loved this place for the past 15 years... until now. Last couple times I went, the food quantity and quality was terrible. They are no longer cooking using large size meats, and even the classic red rock chicken sandwich was sad. The chicken breast was dry and half the size of the bread it was on. There was not much in the way of sauce on there. The fries weren't even good somehow (dry and clearly not home made). The smash burger sadly was a regular burger, not much smash to it and it was also overcooked and dry. The wait staff was however, very nice, but unable to rectify the situation. It's sad to see this Bozeman staple hit the lows many other places in town have. Ted's used to be the most consistent restaurant in town. RIP.

Yelp
Good onion rings! The rest of the food we got was also good, but the rings were the best! The service is excellent.

Yelp
My bison steak tasted very tasty eight out of 10 dope restaurant cool place in town good place to get a feel for the town cause I will be going to college here soon. Surface was pretty W waiter was always checking up on us making sure we were happy. So if you're ever in town pull up to Ted's Montana Grill.

Yelp
Well being the Independent day, we didn't have reservations we check in and waited for about 35 minutes. We sat at the bar and I got say that the service was great. The best dirty martini in town! Food & the service was superb!! A must if like Bison beef!!!

Yelp
When in Rome, I mean Montana, you must try Ted's Montana Grill, right? It was a rainy early September evening, we quickly were seated but it took a while to get service and our drink order. We were told they were short staffed. We were patient/ no problem. Our server was exceptionally friendly and helpful with suggestions. All four dinners were good. Two of us enjoyed the bison meatloaf which was rich and delicious and it came with so- so sides of mashed potatoes with gravy and buttered carrots. The bison was the highlight. The vibe is a true western old-timey feel. Lots of wood everywhere. Restrooms were located adjacent in the connecting hotel. It was a nice experience.

Carter C.

Yelp
This was pretty bad just considering the high prices and the expected level of quality from what at first seemed to be a nice restaurant. We knew something was wrong when the 20 dollar nachos were made with velveeta cheese and the chips were stale. One of our steaks was overcooked and about 6 ounces smaller than advertised and the roasted broccoli and asparagus were completely cold. To be fair, the service was pretty decent and my steak was good but not for the 55 dollar price. In conclusion, considering the standard set by the prices this meal was very disappointing, would not recommend.

Yelp
I thought the service was amazing. From the moment we walked in, the staff were friendly and attentive. The overall restaurant has a romantic atmosphere to it and it's perfect for a date night. We passed it on Valentine's Day and it was packed! However, I didn't absolutely love my food, though my partner did love his Bison steak. I ordered the Bison brisket with garlic mashed potatoes and buttered broccoli and out of everything my favorite were the mashed potatoes. The brisket just tasted bland, unfortunately. I also found the lemonade to be quite flavorful and refreshing, so highly recommend trying it!

Yelp
We came up from Fontana Ca to vacation and stopped by Teds. Had to, same name lol great food and great service. Especially from Joe, we had our 13lbs Yorkie terrier with us and it had been raining the day before so we wanted to avoid trying to sit inside because our little doggy was with us. We wanted to sit outside in the patio. Did not want to impose special treatment. Joe insisted we sit inside with the others. We appreciated that. Thank you Joe!!

Layla W.

Yelp
The service was great but everything else was terrible. Food was bland and had nothing special about it. I got a grilled chicken sandwich and my partner got a burger, both were extremely bland and took a good while to come out. We both waited 40 minutes before receiving our meals and being able to eat. The best part of this meal was probably the onion rings and even then they weren't fully cooked. Don't recommend coming here unless you want to be disappointed.
google avatar

Joe O.

Yelp
The service was excellent. However, it took more than an hour to get the food and overall experience was awful. I have eaten at many places and I definitely expected a lot more. A lot a lot more. The ambience was acceptable. It was par for the course given the location. Never again.

W G.

Yelp
Zero starts. This is a hard NO! The waitress took 20 minutes just to ask what we wanted to drink. We then waited for another 45 minutes with no end in sight as to when our food would come. The people next to us had been at the restaurant an hour and a half and still do not have their food. We and another older couple actually walked out. They really need to do better. This is unacceptable.

Yelp
We ate lunch here with our whole traveling family from Florida. There are lots of choices, great service, and the food was very good and local.

Paul S.

Yelp
Great service and good food. I was impressed. I had the delicious duo which is one beef and one bison burger (3oz each). The beef burger was good, the FF perfect and the bison burger was fantasti.

Thomas K.

Yelp
Ted's provides a steak-house atmosphere--comfortable, if slightly dark for our taste. Our waiter was on her second day on the job without a trainer, and she was very professional, courteous, and efficient. The menu was that of a good chop house, with several species of meat. Our ribeyes were properly prepared, hitting the mark for doness--medium-rare--precisely. Use caution when ordering appetizers--we ordered the onion rings, and the portion was enormous! That said, they were also well prepared. Their bartender knows how to make a martini...which is a surprisingly rare occurrence . Overall, this restaurant fulfills its promise; that of a solid, American steak house. Recommend,

Yelp
Loved the food, we got a few apps and an entree to share. Great portions and the service was quick and attentive.
google avatar

Erin H.

Yelp
The atmosphere was nice and there were lights at most tables which gave it a "romantic" feeling. The service was good and the waitress checked in on us multiple times to ensure we were taken care of. The beef burger was good, but the bison New York strip was slightly bland. The price of the meal was unfortunately higher than the quality of food we received.

Kevin D.

Yelp
Heard so much about Turner ranch bison and so looking forward to eating here while in Bozeman. The restaurant is very nice and service was great. The Food was subpar and I would never recommend anyone going. Actually ruined my day and hike as it just didn't sit well. The bison burger was not just not good. The bun was dry and the overall experience was bad. Maybe management will start looking at reviews and improve but until then consider all the reviews and avoid this establishment.

Annette J.

Yelp
Traveling through Bozeman & wanted to try Bison. Ate at the bar as we only wanted to share the bison sliders with a few drinks. Best onion rings we've ever had! Sliders were yummy, drinks were good.

Yelp
We had lunch at Ted's Montana Grill before our flight back home. It is a very easy 10 to 15 minute drive from the airport. We came here based upon the recommendation of a friend. This was an excellent recommendation. I started out with the huckleberry margarita, which was beyond amazing. The waitress was very kind, and took the time to explain the different parts of the menu, which contained a lot of beef and bison selections. My son got the bison Short ribs and I got the bison meatloaf. Both were delicious. We did not get any desserts. This beautiful restaurant is located in a Hotel on the corner of the main street in Bozeman.

Kelly B.

Yelp
We arrived at the restaurant and waited 30 minutes to be sat at a table. Totally fine. We sat at our table for 20 minutes and no one bothered to come to our table. The wait staff all looked frazzled and worse for wear. The floor was disgustingly dirty. There were 4 tables in our section that had not been cleaned. The busboy sat a bucket down to load the dirty dishes in and literally walked away from it. The waiters clothes were dirty and stained. The manager was more concerned about drinking his coke than he was about the condition of his restaurant. Needless to say we left and will never go back.

Yelp
So wanted this to be a memorable night. Joined a few friends November 21 Ladies shopping night in Bozeman. We started with huckleberry jalapeno margaritas at the bar and they were amazing. This is what garnered the one star! as zero would have been more appropriate. They were spicy and tart with just the right amount of salt on the rim. We returned for reservations at 7 for dinner. We ordered the onion rings to start and they were great. Then everything went down hill. I ordered the bison shortribs, my friend ordered the meatloaf and my other friend ordered the bison filet medium rare. Hard to ruin shortribs, but it was so salty it was not very palatable. It was served with carrots and mashed potatoes. I do not like carrots that much and honestly that was the best part of my dish. The meatloaf was passable. I guess you can blame us for ordering something not from the grill but in hindsight, we probably were better off than our friend with the filet as she never got to eat her dinner at all!. Her mushroom covered filet with asparagus came out and we all eyed it as we knew it was not a filet. It looked more like a possible NY strip cut. She cut into it and it was well done. Took a while for the waitress to return and then she inspected the meat as if to make sure we knew what medium rare was. Gray meat is definitely not medium rare. We also said that it was not a filet cut and she disagreed with us. We know what filet looks like. She agreed finally it was overcooked and took it back to the kitchen. She told my friend to eat her asparagus in the meantime. Over 20 minutes later, after I finished my salt lick of a short rib, and we had pretty much finished our meal, a true filet medium rare came out. The cut this time was a round cut filet, when we pointed the difference from the original cut served to the server she seemed to shrug it off. My friend at this point just wanted to leave and take the filet. Totally disappointed at this point, we asked if the kitchen error could be taken off of our bill. The server said she would ask her manager as long as we requested it. Personally, the server should have suggested it herself. But things got worse, when she returned and said the manager was willing to offer us $15 off the $50 filet. This was insulting after my friend did not even get to enjoy any meal. When we protested, the server acting as if it was a huge request, returned to the manager and finally took the filet off the bill. I will not return to this restaurant

Yelp
Came in for lunch, they were out of all Chicken dishes. Ok, it's Ted's, went for the Bison nachos. They were warm to cold, depending on the bite. Cheese was not melted. The bison chili was sparse. But mainly, how are they not hot? Non-alcoholic Drinks took 15-20 minutes. The highlight, the bison on my wife's salad was good. At least it was only $57...
google avatar

Alfons S.

Yelp
Staff was not very attentive. Food was good but not up to the bar given the price and other local options. Costs like an upscale steak house but lacks the attention to detail that comes with those.
google avatar

Tatiana D.

Yelp
Service: on point. Waitress was very nice and so helpful with menu selections Vibe: very nice cabin feel. Food: GREAT! I had the bison burger which was delicious. My coworkers had the meatloaf and said the sauce was a little salty but over all great as well. My other coworker had the bison steak which he said was done perfect.

Yelp
We when in October 24,2023 for dinner. My first meal at Bozeman. I got so many recommendations to come here. The service was amazing. I love overall look of restaurant. Great food and drinks. I highly recommend to place for family and friends. Try the local beer.
google avatar

Stuart W.

Yelp
Stopped in to have a beer, bartender JESSE was working her ass off. I don't think I ever saw her stop for a millisecond. Whole town could use a couple hundred bartenders like her!
google avatar

Kevin S.

Yelp
Food was absolutely awful and needed to be taken away. They automatically substituted my side order of garlic mash potatoes without asking for some of the worst French fries in my life. Waited forever to be helped and my bartender seemed to have a piss-poor attitude from the get go!!! Only thing this place did right was not charging me for my fourth of a meal or two beers. Absolutely, don't recommend it to anybody!!
google avatar

Leah D.

Yelp
This burger and steakhouse joint is perfect for your classic dishes or trying something new! My husband got a bison steak and I got a bison burger. I don't remember the name of mine but it was fire! It had jalapeño's along with a jam spread, I was feeling adventurous today and I'm so glad that I did! The mix of spicy and sweet was really good. My fries were cold so I was a little disappointed there, but the onion rings were good. The prices are on the higher end--granted most places are in the area compared to back home, but we would probably return if in the area again.

Yelp
So i have eaten at a few different teds Montana grill, and enjoyed them. I was surprised that there is only one in Montana and decided to eat at the namesake location. We walked in the side door and the hostess immediately got my info and said it would be about 30 mins. I got the text letting me know I was on the list so we sat in the waiting area. After about 30 mins there was no one else waiting, but I decided to give it a little while longer. At 45 mins I asked the hostess how much longer and she showed my name was about 4 groups down when only 1 other group was waiting. I asked her why was it taking so long and her reply was people were not leaving after finishing their meal. I looked around and maybe 25% of tables were empty but hadn't been cleaned. I went back and waited another 15 mins and then decided to go through a drive through. On my way out I looked at the screen just to see and she had DELETED MY NAME from the list. I might be petty but I won't eat at any TMG again.

Yelp
The food was just okay. I don't even remember what we ate it was that forgettable. I also didn't realize it was a chain restaurant of Ted turners til after we left. The service was the problem. There seemed to be so many staff but they weren't doing anything just talking to each other. They were talking about other staff badly in front of everyone. We always sit at the bar because there is usually better service. We are literally sitting right there as they ignored us not asking if we needed anything and just talking to each other. There is much better food in Bozeman and much better service. Don't bother going here for either.

Ryan K.

Yelp
Bar service was awful. Probably spent collectively an hour and a half being ignored by the bar staff. But they had zero issue speaking to other patrons at the bar while my girlfriend and I sat there with no menus or service whatsoever. When our food did arrive after an hour not being helped- we didn't even have utensils and had to take some from an empty table, due to the fact the staff wouldn't respond to me after I had called to them. Food was good. Drinks were meh.
google avatar

Stephanie M.

Yelp
Had a reservation for 7:15 and was seated at 7:35. Server did not greet us or take our drink order until 7:50. Food was okay. I did like the separate gluten free menu and fryer for french fries

T. W.

Yelp
We've patronized Ted's Grill in Bozeman twice in the last two months and unfortunately BOTH experiences were far less than favorable. We typically frequent Ted's just before a theater show down at the Ellen Theater and always order light; sliders and a caesar salad. The first time we went was during the MSU Homecoming weekend. The restaurant was very busy but we were seated within a reasonable time ... only to wait, wait and more wait even to be served a glass of water. So the service was very slow but we gave them a pass since it was busy. However there is no pass for the quality of the food; the slider buns were stale and the salad dry. We forgave this experience and chalked it up to a "one off" and knowing we'd enjoyed this restaurant in the past we knew we'd give them another shot. We went back this last wed. (12/18/24) for our usual; quick meal before a show ... and the disappointment lent itself to this writing. The restaurant was NOT busy yet it took an exceptionally long time before a wait person to even arrive. We quickly ordered and once again it was wait, wait, wait. Now I know this is not a fast food restaurant but c'mon, sliders and a caesar, how long can that take! Food finally arrive and yet again, the caesar was as dry as raw lettuce and the sliders were unedible. The bottom on the slider buns were so hard you could not bite through them (like when you microwave bread too long). As a result we hailed our waiter and informed him of the "bun" situation. He said he would get us "new buns" (not new sliders, just buns) and be "right back". "Right back" to him must have meant aobut 15 minutes because that's how long it took for his return. Upon his return he said the new buns were just now going into the oven and it would be "awhile". By now our slider patties were cold and our patience worn thin so we declined the sliders and said we did not have the time to wait. Given this type of service and inedible food we would have expected a "quality" restaurant to be apologetic, remorseful and merely wish us a good evening, but no, this waiter says he'll "get our bill" and be right back. We were flabbergasted that he would even consider a "bill" given that all we ate was a plate of dry lettuce and that we had waited 45 minutes to do that! A quality restaurant with decent management would do no such thing and would "comp" an experience such as ours. I REALLY quality restaurant would have credited us with a gift certificate or some other form of compensation in order to earn our future patronage. But no, this restaurant felt this pitiful experience was something we should still feel obligated for and the waiter brought us our bill. This experience at Ted's Montana Grill in Bozeman was unfortunately the last straw for us. We have been burned at Ted's one too many times for them to earn our patronage again. Buh-bye Ted's, you have lost this consumer ... and if you continue in this fashion you will lose many, many more.

Yelp
Update: 2/2/2025 - Was told to email someone from management. Never heard back. Wow. Seriously? This place was a far cry from what it used to be. Host was confused when we asked for a table. Whiskey coke was flat, lemon drop martini was awful. The breaking point for us was the kitchen staff, who looked borderline homeless as they walked through the dining room and screamed at the radio in the kitchen, which we could clearly hear. Not sure why they sat us by the entrance to kitchen when the entire restaurant was open? The kitchen manager stunk horribly of pot (I smoke pot by the way but don't want it lingering around my table when ordering a meal) as he walked past our table. We cashed out after the poor drink and left. I feel like a complete Karen writing this and I hate that I am. But wow. It was horrible. I wanted to order a steak but after seeing, smelling, and hearing their staff.... I couldn't take a chance on spending that kind of money.

Yelp
Used to be one of the best in Bozeman! the ambiance and building are 5 star but the food isn't that great. The Absolute Best Fish Sandwich" used to be my favorite but last night the fish was nearly missing, the fillet was about 3 millimeters thick with tons of greasy batter! It originally had a great bun but they've swapped it with a dry unflavored bun.

Yelp
Only give this a 1 star rating since it is pre dinner. I'm guessing the B team is working this time of day. Needless to say the hostess stand had no host and a rude server seemed to be the only one Mobil. Disappointed since we were looking forward to trying the location.

Yelp
We've flown into Bozeman several times but have never tried the famous Ted's restaurant. It was time to check it out! We stopped by for lunch and were immediately greeted. The host was very friendly and explained there were only two in the kitchen this day and there would be at least a 20 minute wait for a table. I don't know about you but these days, 20 minutes is not really a wait! We decided to get a glass of wine at the bar. The bartender was friendly and very busy. I don't think she stopped one time while we were there. After sipping on our wine, we decided to eat at the bar. We had our food within 10 minutes of ordering! Two ordered meatloaf sandwiches with kale salad, one ordered meatloaf sandwich with fries and onion rings. I had the balsamic blue steak salad with bison tenderloin. Two stated the meatloaf was delicious. Their kale salad was moist and not dry like kale they have had in the past. They were very please. The other didn't have any positive or negative to say about their sandwich, fries & onion rings. I enjoyed my salad. The ingredients were fresh and tasty. The dressing mixed nicely with the other ingredients. The bison was cooked to order. The atmosphere was that of a typical Montana restaurant. A cross between western and elegant. Overall, we enjoyed our lunch and and now can check this off our list!

Yelp
If I had the bison burger, I'd probably give the place four stars. Right? I think. But I had Bison Short Ribs and I was bit disappointed. Bit too bland. Service was little slow too. Waiter, a happy young man was happy to take our order but forgot to bring beer we asked for and water he said he'd bring. This was 2p on Tuesday. Waiter had two tables to wait on. Location was nice. Place is rustic. Again, I'll come here yes, but I'll do a burger for a chance to increase the score.

Yelp
Fast friendly service! Prices are reasonable and the food was as expected. Steak house food at burger joint prices

Yelp
We have been coming here since they opened when we are in town and It's one of my son always picks. I find the steak house atmosphere relaxed, warm, and inviting. A place Where we can have a good conversation over a good meal and and know the staff is s always very polite and helpful. With the increasing high end restaurants in town this is typically one of the better choices that will not break your bank account while providing a good quality meal. This time we were sat in the bar for the first time and not in the actual restaurant. There was TV that was a bit distracting and I missed the booths in the back. The waitress was very polite but stressed and had to apologize several times for making us wait. It will at least 20 minutes before we were asked about drinks. We asked for iced tea and she said they were out, really? Out of iced tea? My friend ordered a milk shake and she had to apologize that they broke the machine. I asked for a med rare steak and got almost well done. I think it was a bad night in the kitchen.

Yelp
Anytime in Bozeman to visit my son we always stop in. This was for my son's birthday. We all had steak , Rib Eye Delmonico Steaks, Angus Beef Strop and Bison. Started with Bison Nachos. Great drink selection. Service by Cami was the best.
