Teen Darwaja

Historic 3 arched gateways leading in and out of The Old City Ahmedabad. The gateways leead to the craziest open market , shopping area I've ever seen. The throngs of people, rickshaws, motorbikes, buses, cows, dogs hand push carts, and everything you can think of in-between. It is a 100% culture shock, thankfully, something I'm now used to.

This is shopping place with historical remains of three doors (hence the name teen darwaja). It’s overly crowded and the roads are very narrow. You can shop wide variety of goods including clothing, accessories and household items at affordable prices. There wide of dresses and sarees for women. This place remains closed for an hour during namaz time on Friday as the shopkeepers go to the masjid to offer prayer.

Very busy place. Be careful about the people. The people are not very nice. Think about your valuables while you are walking on the road. It's too dangerous. I have struggle to get auto because there are some restriction for Uber and rapido cab services. Doing shopping here could be very challenging because the price vendor offer here is too high and you need very good bargaining power to bring the price down to the good level. Otherwise you will end up with paying a lots of money. My experience was not too bad but for someone it can be worse.

It's one of the best shopping place in ahmedabad as you visit Ratan Pol and whole market you'll soon reach there by walking ( if you like window shopping 😂) It's a good place to visit.... You'll find each kind of items here like handloom, clothes, cosmetics and all other necessary things also.... You should visit it if you like shopping cause it was wonderful experience of buying things from here.... 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I recently visited Tin Darwaza to purchase fish, and it was a great experience overall. I went on a Saturday morning, which I highly recommend because the crowd is comparatively less at that time, making it much easier to explore and choose the best quality fish. I was specifically looking for fresh fish, and I was very satisfied with both the quality and the rates. I purchased Katla fish at ₹200 per kilogram, which I believe is a very good deal. While some items may feel slightly expensive at first, the quality completely justifies the price. Compared to other fish markets in different areas, the rates here are actually very reasonable. There was some crowd, but it wasn’t overwhelming. I really enjoyed the scenery, the local vibe, and the people around, which added to the overall experience. If you’re looking for fresh, high-quality fish and don’t mind a lively local market atmosphere, Tin Darwaza is definitely worth visiting.

It's beautiful historical structure in the middle of market. It is great but you cannot go by car there as it is surrounded by market area
