Fabulous way to spend the day! Taking the cable car up was smooth and easy (even with little kids in tow) There are some restaurants at the top with soup , beer and apple danish. The views are spectacular. And there are tons of trails back into the mountains for hiking. We also went on the toboggan slide (at the base- by the parking lot) My kids LOVED it. And the a lovely playground. Highly recommend visiting.

Very Nice trip. Did ascend and walk down. Not to much km to walk on the top, but the walk down it self is really nice and special with the nice views on the disney castle itself. It was actually my favored walking trip I ever did. Really recommend this commercial trip above other Mountains.

A fun cable car up to the top with about 30 others. The process is smooth, from purchasing the ticket to boarding and disembarking. The employees are jovial, making the whole experience a joy. We hiked around the top section of the mountain and ate lunch before heading down on the Bahn again. The views of two castles are great from the Bahn: Hohenschwangau and especially the Neuschwanstein as it’s closer. Go early as it gets very busy!

The trip and the entire excursion are absolutely worthwhile. Trains run regularly up and down the mountain, and once at the top, you can either take a scenic loop or hike back down along various routes, all while enjoying views of the castle. On clear days, you can also watch impressive hang gliding and paragliding jumps from above.

Stunning views and well worth the round trip on the cable car. Parking requires euro coins but everything else takes credit cards. The hiking looked wonderful if that’s your thing.

Breathtaking. Caught the bus from neuschwanstein castle. While the castle was rammed with people, we had the cable car to ourselves and also pretty much the whole mountain. We had the luck of a snowy winter wonderland. This was an awesome experience and totally took our breath away. If you're visiting the castle, you have to get the cable car up to the top of the mountain.

Pretty and fun! After checking out the nearby castles, we came to Tegelberg and took the Tegelbergbahn up to the restaurant for lunch with a view. It was the middle of the winter so the view was snowy and it was COLD up top! It was easy to buy tickets and we boarded the gondola easily. It did make some kind of scary creaking noises with the ice cracking and shifting, but we made it to the top and back! There were a few skiiers using the gondola to drop in at the top of the mountain Would be fun to see this all through the seasons.

Awesome place, easy to find, amazing trail to the city.... great views, easy tickets.
