Telang Usan Hotel

We stayed here on and off for about 2 weeks on a World Challenge Trip. It is everything you could want in a budget hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. They even managed to help us negotiate group discounts on various excursions. We also participated in a cooking class run at the hotel which was a definite highlight. Rooms were air conditioned and cleaned daily and you were provided with fresh drinking water every day. The hotel was well located with many local restaurants within a five minute walk and the riverfront roughly a ten minute walk away.

The hotel is located in the city centre, which makes it very accessible to all the attractions in town. ||The breakfast is ok, but the other food you can order off the menu at the Lamin is incredible and has a really authentic taste of Sarawakian food. ||The rooms have just been renovated so they're all very clean and modern looking. There is also Netflix so you won't be bored if you decide to stay inside for the day.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, with basic amenities provided. The location was convenient, close to shops and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Would recommend for short business or leisure trips.

The hotel is old but quite well maintained. The rooms were clean, just that the shower room felt quite old fashioned. It has its charm and the location is great. It is quiet at night but I can hear some kind of pump noise throughout the night. So do avoid third floor if you’re a light sleeper. The receptionists were all helpful and polite. Definitely will be back here again just to have that small hotel vibe. Parking wise all good. Fortunately no event happening at the restaurant below. So we got enough parking every day when back from our outing

Nice place to stay. Quieter. The environment is good. Multiple choice of eatery@ restaurant nearby. The hotel itself ( the lamin) also serves a good choice of local foods & more privacy for customers to have breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner & supper as well.

Came here for family dinner at The Lamin. Staff are helpful and friendly. Served local food (halal).. if you prefer quiet place for dine it and wanted to have private meet, this place is suitable for you (situation may noisy during holidays or weekend). Despite halal, food is good.

Unique atmosphere of Hotel;) We really enjoyed our stay at Telang Usan Hotels;) The hotel itself is like a culture of Sarawak Museum;) all around you can find beautiful decorated flower vases. In the glass cabinets are many books and beaded baskets. The lounge area is very relaxing and coffee there is just absolutely delicious. Staff is very helpful and extremely politely. We are really appreciate that we could storage our big bagpacks for a night while we had a overnight in Bako National Park. If you are looking for a well-located place with an amazing atmosphere you should consider booking this hotel. It's definitely worth it ;)

Not a bad alternative for local indegenous food. It's a restaurant in a hotel. Been here twice as a non-hotel guest. Good food, decent portions.
