You Can Now View the Northern Lights from an Outdoor Bed

"The four-day, three-night 'Aurora in Bed' itinerary centers around the newly renovated Villa Telegrafbukta, located on the southern side of the island of Tromsøya in Norway. Full disclosure: This isn't your average vacation rental. Aside from luxe accommodations for up to six people, the villa comes with a private chef, personal hostess, and 24-hour access to a chauffeur-driven Tesla. But the villa's star attractions is, of course, the private rooftop balcony with king-sized 'Aurora' bed."

Beautiful location, plenty of space to sit down and enjoy the view. Great location to see the northern light although the busses ends at midnight. There parking lot nearby and washroom. Bit colder then other areas because of the wind so make sure you bring extra clothes with you.

Beautiful view, the sea and seagulls. You can sit on the rock and stare at the surrounding mountains and listen to the waves. On the weekend it is a bit crowded, but you can find space alone anytime.

Simply stunning views and colder than cold! Wrap up warm as the wind is stronger here than in town. The views are stunning! Lots of seating, so I bet it's amazing in summer to sit here. It was extremely slippy underfoot in January, so make sure you wear grips. There are public toilets that are free and extremely clean. Best outdoor public toilet I've ever used!! There is a bus stop back to town very close by. Would love to come here to view the northern lights. Next time, maybe 😁

Gorgeous park that is just a five minute walk from the Arctic University Museum of Norway (and easily accessible by bus from Tromso center). It is a very popular spot for locals especially in the summer for hiking, swimming etc. In the winter it is equally gorgeous and is also a great spot for Northern Lights viewing.

Stunning little slice of heaven on Tromsøya. Great spot for picnics, swimming, or just sitting by the water. It's easily accessible from the bus stop and there are many walking trails that connect up here.

Thủ đô của cực quang ---------------------------------------- Located at 69° North in the heart of Arctic Norway, Tromsø is often called the “Capital of the Northern Lights” – and for good reason. Thanks to its prime position directly beneath the auroral oval, Tromsø offers some of the highest chances in the world to witness the aurora borealis, especially during the winter months from September to March. But Tromsø is more than just a destination for aurora hunting. This charming Arctic town is surrounded by snow-capped mountains, deep fjords, and cozy wooden houses, creating a fairytale-like landscape that’s both peaceful and awe-inspiring. During polar nights in winter, when the sun doesn’t rise for weeks, the sky comes alive with vibrant ribbons of green, violet, and red lights dancing above. Visitors can enjoy a range of unforgettable experiences, from guided aurora chases and husky sledding, to ice fishing and learning about the indigenous Sámi culture. What makes Tromsø truly special is that it combines raw Arctic beauty with modern comfort—offering good infrastructure, warm accommodations, and reliable tours, making it ideal even for first-time winter travelers. Whether you're a photographer, adventurer, or simply a dreamer chasing magic in the sky, Tromsø is one of the most reliable and enchanting places in the world to see the northern lights.
