Telemachos Athens - Awarded meat & wine restaurant

I’ve been at Tilemahos at Kifissia many times but it was my first time visiting Tilemahos at Syntagma. This restaurant has a reputation for amazing meat at a normal price. The place is very pretty and cozy yet elegant. I have no words for the service, possibly the best I’ve had, everyone was super friendly, helpful and well informed in order to offer recommendations. Overall I would say the overall experience was very good!

Amazing, amazing , amazing . I have traveled the world and some of the best lamb and meats I have ever tasted in my entire life. The ambiance is nice and the staff was incredibly kind, especially the chef Giorgos. Amazing quality of food, if you come here you will be so satisfied with your meal. ❤️❤️❤️ Nothing but amazing things to say about this place

Had an absolutely wonderful experience at Telemachos in Athens! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome. The food was exceptional; fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I especially loved the traditional Greek lamb fricasse, which was a true highlight of the meal. A very special thanks to the owner, Giorgos Tsiligiris, whose hospitality and attention to detail truly made the visit unforgettable. It’s rare to see such personal care and passion for both the guests and the cuisine. Highly recommend Telemachos to anyone visiting Athens; a perfect spot for an authentic, memorable Greek dining experience!

Good atmosphere — lovely space. Slightly like a David Lynch set. Higher end without being foppy. Engaging, polite and helpful staff. The appetizers was well put together and not overpriced, but the portion size was slightly too small for properly accompanying wine, especially for those who came on an empty stomach. The cheese was a tad to dry. Despite these nigles, an overall pleasant experience.

I would say this is the best meat I have ever eaten. The staff were super friendly and they treat us the leaver and the carpaccio ! If you are a meat lover this is the place to go !

In short: overrated and overpriced. Let’s start with the positives: the restaurant is not loud, even when there are many people inside, and the service is excellent. We ordered a green salad, but the menu did not mention anything about the dressing. It arrived sweet, with orange juice and olive oil—an unbelievably bad choice, in my opinion. We also ordered the “Black Angus Premium Ribeye” — €70 for 350 g. The steak tasted like it had been reheated. I wouldn’t even pay €30 for a steak like that. They also brought bread that we did not order, and we were charged for it. At the end, the staff noticed that we didn’t finish our food and immediately offered us a free dessert. That was a nice gesture, and the dessert was excellent. Because of this, I give the service 5/5 — well done. However, the most important part — the steak — was bad and extremely overpriced. For comparison, we ate at Meat n Roses Kolonaki for less than half the price, and the steak there was far more delicious. That was a real Black Angus steak.
