10 Best Tours in Savannah

"This drinks tour, which has been operating since the mid-2010s, is a polished and professional operation with a natural, charismatic guide at the helm. It looks at Savannah's history through the lens of one of its most famous elements: drinks. Naturally, this is one of the more social tours; your group will plant down in restaurants and bars, and you're likely to feel an instant camaraderie with your fellow tourees as you sip madeira, mint juleps, and mead." - Paul Oswell

Google
One of the oldest Squares, it was laid out in 1733 as one of the first 4 to be created, and was originally named St. James Square. In 1833, it was renamed to honor the Telfair Family, prominent citizens who contributed greatly to Savannah's cultural and economic growth. This makes this Square unique, as it is the only one named for a family rather than an individual. For my reviews on all the other Savannah Squares, click my name and choose the tab "Savannah". Thanks.

Stopped here at 7pm. Quiet. Clean. Needed a place to sit, and there were plenty of benches.

This is a nice place to sit and relax. It is a quick, short walk from our hotel at Spring Hill Suites. The private horse and carriage ride wouldn't pick up at our hotel but they did at this square. We took some good pictures and while we were here, you could really here the cicadas in the trees. I just had to record. It was real interesting in hearing them that easily while we were downtown.

Beautiful square just like the city. Met here for a ghost tour. The story of the telfair tower is shocking. Great company.

This is one of my favorite squares because of the Girls Scout Trefoil corner there. All of the squares in Savannah are beautiful and are excellent retreats from the hot summer sun with their shade trees, however there was an abundance of homeless inhabitants. It seemed half of the squares we visited had one.

Google
Beautiful square in Savannah. It's a relaxing place to sit and people-watch. There are several places nearby if you want to get an adult beverage to enjoy while you watch everyone going about their day. We also started our awesome ghost tour here.

Yelp
A beautiful square/park with multiple benches, a nice sidewalk and lots of plants and trees. There are museums on the outside of the park to enjoy as well. This yet another peaceful public place to to rest and enjoy in downtown Savannah.

Yelp
Pretty square, especially when the azaleas are blooming. You'll undoubtedly walk by at some point while wondering around downtown.

Yelp
Beautiful trees and greenery with a couple relaxing benches. Just a few steps from the Telford Museum and Joe's at the Jeppseson. The open grass area serves as a display for the Art Show. The surrounding architecture is diverse as some buildings look like a retro 50's, some are historic and Telford Jeppseson Art Museum is a beautiful modern, sleek, glass structure. There is also a building under construction.

Yelp
Another relaxing Savannah Square that I really enjoy. Telfair Square is located on Barnard, between State and York Streets.

Yelp
One of my favorite squares in Savannah. It is surrounded by the fine art museums that are located in this artsy city. Make sure to grab a book and a blanket and enjoy your afternoon in the open air surrounded by old oak trees.
