"If you’re in the market for a 1937 Gibson guitar,TellurideMusic Company is your place. The marquis dealer of C.F. Martin guitars, this musician-owned shop has been in business since 1992, helping countless shoppers tell their Waterloos from their Taylors. In addition to guitars, the cult-favorite store stocks mandolins, banjos, and the like, which we’re willing to bet sound even better when played in the open, high-mountain air."

This is such a cool place! Walked in just to look around and everyone was so friendly. Came back and a few hours later I walked out with a brand new guitar and some gear. So helpful and a perfect addition to anyone’s musical journey!

Warren took incredible care of us & was unbelievably knowledgeable about vintage guitars. He was even excellent handling my young son in the store, all around 10/10 experience!

This place is amazing. Tom and the crew are top notch and so willing to help. It’s the ideal local music store that so many communities have lost, but they’re also extremely skilled at shipping anywhere you need them to. Check them out!!

Popped all my strings on the way into town for jazz fest, I was going to be there after the store closed but they were able to hook me up and give me some special care. Amazing shop and even better people, will be shopping here again!

I purchased a pedal from them via reverb and had a solid experience. The price was right, they got it shipped quickly, and even added a few goodies along with a personalized note on the invoice. Thank you Warren and Tom.

See photo evidence below. Purchased some strings from this company on Reverb. Shipping was delayed by weather and holiday. I used Reverb tools available to me and questioned the delays but they always promptly replied. I feared the mail had lost them at one point because the tracking on my end showed they were never picked up. Ultimately Telluride was correct and the strings arrived albeit late per the 3-5 day window not including the Holiday. It arrived in 6 days. I left a 4 out of 5 star review stating simply that the shipping was a little slow and in the same message commending them for the string quality and good communication. Obviously offended at the thought of a 4 out of 5 star rating they retaliated with a 4 star rating back to me accusing me of complaining. In reality they are just petty and salty because of didn’t leave a 5 star review. I paid same day and the fact is the strings were LATE!!! Additionally, I am fully aware the shipping was not directly their fault and never indicated in my review that it was. So after I left my honest customer based review of the entire transaction they chose to give me a 4 star review for being a concerned customer that an item they shipped may be lost??? So for this reason I believe they get a 2 star rating simply for being a couple of petty pricks. Have a great day and thank you again for the strings. They sound great!!

Popped in as a music lover/tourist. The two gentlemen working the shop were super easy going and helpful. Beautiful instruments and merch. Will be repping Telluride Music Co on my hat and water bottle!

Yelp
Always a good time and some lovely vintage and boutique new guitars. Never a moment's hesitation to let me try any guitar in the shop. Very knowledgeable sales staff. Sorry to read the one negative review, which I have to chalk up as just a bad day. In my 10+ visits to the shop I have never had an experience of that sort. Quite the opposite.

Yelp
This place rocks! Independent guitar shop owned and operated by dedicated musicians. There's a reason this place is a regular stop for many of the big name artists who pass through Telluride.

Yelp
Telluride Music Company is what you wish all guitar stores were. Tom and Warren are low key, helpful and very knowledgeable. You never get the sense that they have an agenda, they listen and direct you toward instruments (or effects, albums) that match your interest. I bought two guitars here and sold one and the experience was ideal. The staff is warm and friendly and the selection eclectic, interesting and always high quality.

Yelp
I can't say enough great things about this shop. I went here to make my first Collings purchase. These guitars are as expensive as they are beautiful, so I definitely didn't take the purchase lightly. I've actually been building up to this purchase for years. Seriously, for years. I noticed my first Collings about 10 years ago, and I've always dreamed of owning one. I got in touch with these guys and worked with Warren up there. He was unbelievably awesome to work with. No pressure or other BS; just tons of good information, insight, and options. They've got an unbelievable selection of everything. It's impressive. And, after all the help, I'm the happy owner of a gorgeous CJ35. I couldn't be more pleased with it. I really appreciated everyone up there and the entire experience. Warren even wrote me a handwritten 'thank you' note that he sneaked into the case. Who the hell does that anymore!?! These guys are awesome. I'll certainly be going back for future purchases.

Yelp
Sad that for a shop with such an awesome selection that the people working here would be so snobby. Was looking for a new guitar to add to my collection and stopped in to play a few. Upon walking in I thought to myself I had found the right place: they were fully stocked with Martins, Collins, and a selection of other boutique brands. It was the experienced guitarists' dream! However, the excitement stopped there. The sales associate I met was absolutely one of the most arrogant people I've ever met. It felt like he had instantly decided what kind of a guitar player I was upon entering the store, and wouldn't stop bragging about how he "wouldn't sell me or others that have walked in this or that guitar even if we had the money." He kept walking into the back and ignoring me when I asked to try a guitar, and it made me feel like he just wanted me to leave. It's truly sad because I love supporting small business but this place clearly does not know how to treat a customer right. Shame on these guys for supporting the elitist culture that most guitar shops are trying to break down.
