"I've skied Telluride my whole life and consider it a special, remote mountain with direct ski-in, ski-out access from town and virtually no lift lines because visitors tend to stay for several days rather than just a weekend. The surrounding San Juan Mountains provide jaw-dropping views and help create the resort's reputation for rugged, extreme terrain, yet there is a blue or green run from the top of every lift so beginners can explore the entire mountain.
