What an amazing experience – a lifetime memory created at the end of September 2025. My daughter’s wedding in Telluride was held at an outstanding venue; Sleighs & Wagons @TellurideSleighs. They have a partnership with a wonderful Chef; @TellurideChef – Chef Graeme Charles. It’s amazing the depth & breadth of what you can create at 9,000 feet in a ranch kitchen. I thoroughly enjoyed the Sous Vide & pan-seared Elk Rib-Eye; was delicious – super tender, not at all ‘gamey’. My wife had the trout, one of my daughters had the pasta. The bride and her husband selected the lamb roast. The main courses were all very good. The selection of desserts were all top shelf! Plus, they allowed you to bring in your own wine, she selected a very good Burgundy; Jacques Prieur Beaune Champs Pimont Rouge, 2019 @domaineslabruyere along with a Magnum of Merryvale Profile; @merryvalevineyards (Meritage) from 2012, the blue-grey label. They created specialized mixed drinks as well. Was a very cozy event (micro-wedding) of thirteen people, but that made it even more unique and special. Sleighs & Wagons did a great job with everything; Ashley, Dennis, Jess and Avery. Photography by Jason Hicks @jasonanddaris, the officiant for the ceremony was Andy Konigsmark; @konigsmark. The floral arrangements were exquisite; simple elegance from Flowers by Ella; @flowersbyellatelluride.
So many wonderful people coming together and working in concert to create a very memorable weekend, not just there to simply serve us. Truly unforgettable.
